I really enjoyed Three Houses, but I certainly can see the arguments that it spent too much time away from the battlefield; this is back to the tried and true formula of previous FE games that I discovered on the 3DS and for me is all the better for it! Great visuals, fun, "crazy anime" story and top notch tactics combat - recommended!

I bought this video game for my 10 year old nephew. He loves this game,he said the game is challenging to play at the beginning of the game. He figured out how to play the game and he loved the challenges! great game for a 10 year old!
The presentation in this game is top-notch. Fire Emblem Engage's battle animation quality reminds me of the smoothness I saw in Fire Emblem Echoes on the 3ds. The frequent use of CG's and smooth cutscenes add to the experience.The battles within the main story are fun and provide a good challenge when I played on Hard Classic. While there are a good amount of Defeat Boss maps, the game gives you smaller objectives within those maps to keep the game fresh, and also uses maps objectives such as Escape and Defend when a story beat calls for it. As for the characters and story, if you're expecting the same depth and moral dilemmas of Three Houses, Engage's story and characters are much simpler, but I still had fun with it.
