I bought this months ago but didn’t use it right away. I recently opened it and was so disappointed when I couldn’t get it to work. I went online to search for answers and started the warranty process when I found a review that solved my issue! To load staples you need to turn the gun upside down. The staples go in upside down and then it works perfectly. All the one star reviews seemed to be having the same problem I had.

Fisk are never lets me down!!! They make great performing tools with a fair price point. I love this staple gun because it fits my small hand. Most manual staple guns are too large and I don’t have the strength to squeeze it. Also, this one has a super easy mechanism that doesn’t take a lot of strength to squeeze. What a super product!!!

No staples. Was excited to find this product available in the store but no staples at any of the Target stores in the Grand Rapids, MI area. Need to take in a strapless sundress and add cute straps to the dress. Thought it would be a cute quick diy for an outfit to wear for a wedding this weekend. I will only wear the dress for an hour. Bought the first one from Joann Fabrics for a project put in the recommended staples and follow the instructions of the package. Stapler mechanism works but staples are not deploy. Returned it to the store and they replace it. The same problem with the second one, wrote to the company and they sent me a new one, well that one have the same issue. Conclusion: it is missing the piece ( the pin) that pushes the staple forward. All three of them are the same. It will never work. I have 3 useless staplers that ALL have the same problem.
Could not get this to function properly. I am using 5/16" staples to attach a canvas to a stretcher frame and right now I have 2 in out of 24 attempted. Most of the time, just one half of the staple pierces the wood while the other gets stuck in the stapler. Very annoyed because Michaels won't accept the return so now I have trash to throw away. Also, it is cheaper on every other website so I totally made a mistake shopping at Michael's. Never again.
Brought 8mm staples from spotlight that didn’t fit even though it says it should brought smaller staples instead. Found it’s very hard on your wrists to get a good staple. Did the job but not super impressed.
This is a very poorly constructed piece of equipment. It broke on the very first thing I tried to staple. Maybe I got a defective tool, but I would not recommend this tool. I ended up buying a desalt staple / nail gun for the same price. This unit feels poorly constructed (plastic) and like it could break easily.
I bought this staple gun with the staples included. Seemed like the perfect size/weight. However, the staples were too big to load. Why would the seller include inappropriate staples? I thought I was not understanding something. Unable to find any info other than very brief instructions on package. Finally, after reading reviews on various sites, it appears this company has a bad history with staples for this product.
Great stapler! The staples are not included. The stapler works great. I bought it months before needing to use it & came to this target listing to help me figure out why it wasn’t working. Once you figure out how to pull out the bar to load your staples. You have to load them in the empty space under the stapler. Not onto the steel bar that slides out. I think this is why previous reviews mention the stapler doesn’t work even when you buy the type specified. I tried it the wrong way first and never got it to work until I figured out what I was doing wrong. Bottom line great product. But fiskars needs to add instructions on how to use the product. Don’t be afraid the buy it. It works.
Fiskar’s staple gun works well. Gave 4 stars because the directions for loading the staples could use improvement, and looking online for guidance assured me that I was not alone. But once figured out, it worked very well. Fiskars makes great tools.
