Fiskars PowerGear Lopper Bypass Large L78

Love the feel and the weight of these, very light but strong.Had my first pair for about 10yrs and give them some serious work to do but they finally broke on the teeth, my second set broke a blade within 10 mins( but had a replacement pair the next day) that said I would still recommend them for overall feel and quality.

A good quality set of loppers

An excellent pair of loppers for pruning up to around 1.5 inch thick brush. The only issues I can see - which are not major, are that because of the design of the bypass plate one has to open the loppers wider than usual in order to make a cut. Anvil type cutters don't have to be opened this far. The other minor thing is that the action is a little stiff - but I assume this will ease with use. Still very happy with them.

Effortless pruning

I’ve had so many expensive lockers in the past but this is in a different league altogether. I only bought it yesterday and use it for the first time today. So effortless. Love it.

Great piece of equipment. Can now reach the top of our small tree with the loppers, after a bit of practice! Very pleased.

Good quality product

I have a number of overgrown shrubs in my garden and some of the branches are quite thick. This tool easily tackles anything up to approx 5cm thick. It is reasonable lightweight and easy to use. I am very pleased with it.

Was unsure to buy the bypass or anvil type. I brought these and cut through live tree branches and other plants up to 40mm with ease. Will cut dead wood also with care.Lightweight when reaching up also. Used them same day as I brought them for a major pruning day, made easy work. Buy the Fiskers brand so hope will last a good while, well worth the extra money over own brand.

Heavy duty, strong, easy action with fairly long reach.

Took care of multi thickness stems of an outrageously rampant group of buddleias and rambling roses to reduce wind rock and encourage new growth- much stronger and powerful than previous brand which broke when used on thick stems. Fairly long reach and just comfortable for me to use as a wrinkly, not so heavy I couldn't manage to do my own bit of gardening. Comfortable non slip grip handles .

Light,STRONG,tough and a fair price.

Fiskars have been around forever it seems. They know about this sort of thing. These loppers are incredibly light,but immensely strong. They power through very thick, dense branches with ease. They feel like they will last forever. I wanted some real quality loppers after my last ones snapped under pressure - these don't. I did my research,paid a fair price,now I enjoy the rewards. For many years to come.

Perfect lopper for small branches

Borrowed this exact product from family once and decided to buy it as it made the work seem so easy. It does get a little heavy after prolonged use, especially if working above your shoulders (trimming branches). However, it's absolutely perfect for cutting branches of up to 4cm.

Powerful tool

I used it to cut thick branch (Around 20-30mm thick) with easy handling. So powerful.I very concern the result before I purchase it because it is very expensive for me. But finally, It is great!
