I'm old and remember what some well established brands were before. Watching great brands have corners cut so that from a distant memory good stuff is being ordered is entertaining. Fell for it again. Compared to what? is a fair question. To remember quality material and craftsmanship along with functionality sets an old man up for disappointment. Is a rough cheap stamped out product not doubt profitable to Viet nam while working and looking in a photo like yesterday.

Cuts great but the blade started rusting after the first use, which was just on a tree. Wanted it as a backpack saw to use instead of an axe. Just a bit too heavy for my back pack and actually too large for that use also. So it is now my around the house pruner, tree trimmer and small tree remover.

I've owned a few of this type of saw, but I usually go for the smaller ones under $10. Because I use them a lot I thought I'd get an upgrade, but I'll be going back to the cheaper ones. This saw is not very sharp and it takes a lot more effort to saw through small branches than it does with the smaller pruning saws. The size is awkward, and the blade doesn't seem to be attached to the handle that well, as it didn't want to go straight back in even after only one use. Just not worth the extra money.

Great hand saw for branch pruning, with lifetime warranty. Aggressive cuts. Two-position handle (in addition to locked closed) is perfect for under-cuts.Too bad our Lowe's does not stock this fine saw, but delayed gratification is possible with free ship-to-store. :-)
Disappointed! I prune fruit trees in Winter and have replaced my saw each year to work with a new, sharp saw ( purchased at Lowe’s ). This is the first year that my Lowe’s store no longer carried the Corona model but the Fiskar instead. Very disappointed in how poorly it cut and found my old Corona was much sharper. I compared the two several times with similar results. Can’t afford to spend days of pruning with an inferior saw.
The design of this is terrible. A hair trigger is all that's stopping the blade from rotating a full 270 degrees, even in the middle of a cut. The steel to make this is far thicker than it should be for a saw of this length. The valley of each tooth are bent out increasing resistance.
This saw is very comfortable to hold, easy to open and close. The blade is very sharp and cuts very smoothly. I used it to cut palm fronds and where my other handsaw struggled to cut the fronds, this saw cut through easily and quickly.
This looked nice in the package! Beyond that it was bought to trim my apple trees. I would pull and push once each each then have to clean the teeth before it would cut any more. With pressure added to the blade against the branches i=I could get 2 pulls and 2 pushed before needing to clean the teeth. Not cleaning the teeth 20 strokes would not cut any further. These branches were under 1.25 inches across.I will be returning the saw. I still have 5.57 more trees that need pruning.I am very disapointed as I have other Fishars pruning tools and I am happy with them.
I bought this to cut large ivy vines on trees since the vines were attached and wouldn't pull off. It works great for sawing through the vines that attached to the tree. I would recommend this product.
This is one of my favorite tools ever! I have had it for just over a year, and I've used it for pruning branches, for cutting roots of shrubs I'm digging out, cutting small logs for firewood when camping...I'm sure I've used it a few other ways...It's truly great! Super sharp -- it hasn't dulled even after all the use I've given it. The best part is the folding/adjustable blade that allows me to get at a cut from several different positions -- cut from the top, cut from underneath, cut from the side -- for when I'm in a tight spot or when I just get tired of one direction and need to change. I would buy this again many times over!
