Fiskars SmartFit L86 112500 Telescopic Lopper Bypass

Although not the cheapest, this is a sturdy pair of loppers, easy to use and effective. Some neighbours have had the same model for some years so we tried theirs first. Having visited a hardware shop with various makes and models, none were as good as this one so we ordered it online.

Awesome lopper Fiskars L86 telescopic

Cuts like the proverbial knife through butter. Great quality, so glad I decided to spend the extra dollars to get something decent.

Better than Expected

When I first picked up this lopper, it seemed like it was very light and possibly flimsy. So far though, it's been working amazingly. The telescoping function works well and easily and the cutting action is very strong on thicker branches, especially when the handles are extended.

Early days but seems like a quality product worth the higher price.

Replaced a very old pair of green jem loppers . Whilst double the price these do seem to be a superior product up to fiskars usual standard. These are BYPASS loppers . They are extremely sharp and cut to the same standard as the anvil loppers they replaced. Just need to keep the blade aligned as close to 90 deg as possible to avoid flexing and twisting. I required telescopic handles both for the extra reach and also for the additional leverage when cutting thicker branches. Most loppers of this type use a twist and lock mechanism to extend the handle which fails on some makes after a while. Excellent set of loppers

After more than 10 hard years of service it was time to get a new set of loppers which is something I use a lot given the size of my backyard. I was tossing up between buying the same brand as last time, which worked very well, and these loppers from Fiskars. Both were about the same price but I rolled the dice (since I had not bought this brand before) and picked the Fiskers because they were lighter and they had only one moving part which I think reduces the chance of problems further down the track. They work brilliantly, nice clean, easy to make cuts and I am very happy with my purchase.

Great garden tool

This tool makes pruning a breeze!The telescopic handles make accessing higher branches easy. Sturdy build and good design makes this a good purchase for pruning hard to reach areas.

Impressive Loppers

I have had 2 pairs of loppers over many years and they have been well used and given me and my son's good service. Recently we were doing a big tree removal exercise and we were joined by my son's friend who brought his own chainsaw and his own loppers .....Fiskars !! We all used them and were amazed how good they were. I immediately bought a pair from eBay and they arrived within 5 days. We have now used them for 3 weeks and the quality of manufacture, design, ease of use are tremendous. Even my wife used them and she was totally impressed and wants her own pair .... but in pink ! Overall an impressive product and outstanding in the world of loppers.

Review of Fiskars FSK112500 L86 665-915mm SmartFit Telescopic Lopper

Well designed quality product. The telescopic handles have a decent amount of adjustment thanks to a clever push button locking system. The lopper is not too heavy when fully extended. Used it to prune some trees and it was a delight to use. Well worth the money and i sense this tool will last me a lifetime due to the build quality. Don't hesitate to buy one as its far superior to others I've seen.

worked well, until it didnt

Had great lopping power and worked well for about a year, until one day the blade failed on a branch cut on some 50c diameter green wood. Maybe a manufacturing defect, but the black section sheared off at the pivot bolt. No warranty either - so bit disappointed for a tool on the pricey end.
