Mother to a 6yo boy with autism and has a screen dependency for regulation purposes. This watch has been a fantastic way to get him to look at moving and activity in a different way. We are competitive with step counts and get him determined to be up and moving because the watch reminds him too.It has been great for helping get him to stay in bed longer in mornings and wait for the morning alarm to buzz and been able to gage a bit better what kind of sleep He's had.

My daughter has previously owned two Garmin VivoFit watches which she loved. She is nearly 10 and wanted an older kids style watch and also one that is similar to an adult's watch. (I own a Fitbit). She absolutely loves this watch. She has the app on her iPad and I receive her stats so we have a bit of a competition going on who's done the most steps. This is a great step up for kids wanting to take their fitness more seriously.

My son is 5 and he absolutely loves this product. He competes with his sister who also has a Fit Bit, and they run around more than usual to get their steps higher than one another. He wear it to school and uses it as a watch, so he can see when it's near to home time. For a 5 year old it's teaching him to read 100s, and 1000s numbers. In addition it gives me an opportunity to see how active they are and how much sleep they're actually getting. He wears it to swimming, thanks to its waterproofing.I was unhappy with the time it took Myer to send the product, it came more than a week later than the expected delivery date. I had to call up to ensure that the product was actually dispatched.

Bought this for my 8 year old granddaughter's birthday as she always loves my one. Her face lit up when she opened her present and it went straight on charge and she can't wait to use it. She's a pretty active girl but she likes the idea of seeing her results and wearing a watch at the same time. This was definitely a hit!
The watch is great and the 10yo kid is actually wearing it! Brilliant that it is shower and swim proof... with a rain mode to stop it flicking btw screens. They enjoy being able to track how they live their life and has made them more aware of their activity or lack there of.Kids view in the App is cumbersome... tricky to set up and switching between kid and parent view means a password each time even though logged in under parent account. It doesn't update automatically to the watch, you have to switch to kids view.
Read the fine print! It sleep tracks, but doesn't do it the same way most fitbits do (it just logs asleep or awake according to lack of steps, which isn't very accurate). It has a hr monitor (mentioned in many, many online reviews) but it isn't activated and won't be. It has alarms and notifications... but doesn't do any notifications other than calls (no texts or reminders). I should have read the fitbit manual, not 3rd party reviews, for my information so that's on me, but in case anyone else falls for the same thing, I thought I'd log my experience. The kids love them because it does what they wanted (it's a watch), but from my point of view, it is mightily overpriced when you can get a pedometer watch for a quarter the price. The family fitbit account system leaves a lot to be desired too - every time you check the kids' data on your phone it unpairs your main fitbit and you need to repair and reactivate any settings (google assistant, notifications etc).
The finish and appearance is good. Battery life is excellent. However, you need to squeeze the sides of the watch to activate the screen and it's not very responsive. Activity tracking is below par for the price point. It is very basic. No HR monitor and very limited activities. App functionality is boring. Straight out of the box, the watch prompted me for a firmware updated. It will not update - tried all tips from the help forums. Online support is poor. I would recommend purchasing an equivalent priced. Bluetooth keeps dropping out. Huwawei or another smart watch.
The features of the watch are great and simple for all my 8 year old needs. The battery lasts for nearly 2 weeks which is great. The disappointing part is that the band is not great at all. The part that goes into the buckle part was starting to tear and just over 2 months of wearing the watch, it has now broke and my son canβt wear it and I have to spend money to buy a new band and delivery.A gps would have been one more feature that would have been good on this device.
Got two of these for the kids. Didnt realise they required a smartphone parent act and family account and individual act to be created to use the features of the watch. Painful to switch between kids on the app. Possibly not the best watch for a kid if you are wanting to give them more independence.
We bought 2 of these for our sons for Christmas. One works perfectly well and the other won't sync with 3 different phones, so it won't even get set up to work at all. It is useless and can't even be used as a watch. Fitbit technical help has continually blamed our phones instead of their product, despite the fact the same phones work perfectly well for the other exact same watch. Fitbit customer service is woeful and I won't be buying another fitbit product.
