The exercise options are decent although I have only used walking and running so cannot comment on the others directly.Sleep analysis tracks well and it is interesting to view regarding my light and deep sleep. Although it quite often thinks I'm sleeping when I'm very docile on the sofa. The Fitbit companion app also comes with a variety of other trackers including stress management, water consumption, calorie tracker etc. I received a free trial of Fitbit premium initially with the device but I most likely won't continue with it after it has run out as the extra cost doesn't seem to be worth it for the extra perks it comes with. The variety of watch faces that are available to download feel quite limited but this is only a very minor gripe.Overall I'm pleased with the watch and would recommend it to others who want a smartwatch which is a jack of all trades.

Does the basics for a smart watch in terms of fitness tracking, telling the time, waking you up so and good price point. For me like all the other smart watches I've stopped using it.Good- Battery life better than expected- Sometimes watches have too many features we never use anyway- Smart alarm wake feature definitely a winner but you can get just as good from other watches- Mobile app doesn't bloat your phone out unlike other brandsBad:- Watch strap seems to tear away at my skin overtime- Bit basic - lack of features and being able to configure stuff- Rotation not very sensitive when you want the screen to light up to see the time- Mobile app a bit boring

Fitbit removing functionality and features

As of March 27, 2023 Fitbit is removing functionality and features including open groups, adventures and challenges. There are many trackers and smartwatches available including Garmin, Galaxy and Apple that will provide health analytics and step counts. Google bought Fitbit and is now selling their Google Pixel smartwatch using the Fitbit platform. It appears fitbit will be phased out, especially when they are removing the distinguishing features of connectivity with friends and family through challenges. They are not a good investment and I have buyers regret.

Not an upgrade from my versa 2
5 February 2023

Purchased this to replace the Versa 2 version that I had for two year’s and had no problems with. Wish I had of just gone for the same one again as this one has nothing really extra for a bigger price. I have issues with it remaining connected with my phone and didn’t have that with the 2nd version it also will not stay connected with the answering option and I have to continuously reconnect all the time which is very frustrating and makes it unreliable. The battery life is also worse that the older version. Finding things on it is not as easy either as I can never find the find my phone app when I need it. Over all do not like or trust it as much as the versa 2 and wish I had of saved my money and just replaced it with the same thing. Wouldn’t recommend this ... MorePurchased this to replace the Versa 2 version that I had for two year’s and had no problems with. Not very impressed

Product has been released to market too soon without a number of the smart features having relevant supporting software available. For example I've contacted Fitbit directly and they don't even have a date when features like Google Maps and From-Wrist calls will be available - which is fairly unacceptable given these are key selling points of the watch. Also - you might expect the Versa 4 to be an upgrade on Versa 3 with additional functionality? Instead it has less - there are no music apps available for Versa 4 so if you want to listen to music whilst you run you have to carry your phone - which is a step backwards in terms of features. At the moment a Versa 4 is a very expensive digital watch that tracks exercise. Oh dear! Back to the drawing board.

Firstly, I should state that I have owned and used the Versa 2 for over 2 years and love it. My plan was to purchase the Versa 4 because the only feature that I missed was GPS. Unfortunately, Fitbit have added with one hand and taken away with the other.A huge bugbear is there is no longer the facility to store music on the watch. The whole point of having GPS is no longer needing to take your phone with you but now it is still required if you want to listen to music while exercising. My main disappointment though, is that this model no longer allows third party apps. The ability to add these apps was one of the best features of the Versa 2. There were many to easily install - from a simple calculator to the wonderful C25K running tool. For me, without these ... MoreFirstly, I should state that I have owned and used the Versa 2 for over 2 years and love it.
