This great value shoe has a carbon-reinforced nylon outsole for stiffness and strength as well as the much-sought-after Boa closure system along with a Microtex upper; making this one of the finest pair of road shoes available. Not just a smaller version of the men's R5B, the women's version has specifically-designed panelling in the upper, a narrower heel cup and lower forefoot volume for the optimal performance and comfort. The carbon-reinforced nylon outsole is not only lightweight but also very stiff and durable. This stiffness makes these shoes a great platform for transferring the most amount of power to the road. The Boa IP1 system is one of the best performing closure systems for road shoes. The Boa offers a glove-like fit with infinite micro-adjustability, which does away with pressure points while giving a superb degree of fine tuning. Easy on-the-fly adjustments can be made with one hand and the Boa system, once locked, stays that way. The laser perforated Microtex upper is constructed from the same material as Fizik's legendary range of saddle covers. Microtex is lighter than leather, very durable and very good at standing up to wet and wild conditions. Reflective inserts make these shoes easy to see in darker conditions. In fact, having other people look at these shoes is not going to be a problem. These are some of the most eye-catching shoes on the market and Fizik's heritage of beautiful design is on show for all the world to see.
