Beautiful jacket

Like most Fjallraven jackets, this coat is rugged, stylish (in a retro, almost military way), and functional. Plenty of pockets, zip out hood, perfect fit (6’3” 180 L). Good with a base layer in cool weather. Recommended.

Good looks, great features.

Had my eye on this jacket for quite a while, and very glad I finally picked it up! Fjallraven is my go-to for outerwear; as a taller guy, their stuff fits me perfectly and I can order my actual size without having to worry about sleeve length, etc. The raven jacket is a great light layer, and is adjustable everywhere (waist, hem, sleeves) to make the fit even better. Worn it over sweatshirts, sweaters, and t-shirts so far this spring, and looking forward to bringing it back out in the fall.

Great fit and deal

Decided to get this jacket after my sister and her husband both got one. I love the fit and the overall look of the jacket. I am a huge fan of fjallraven products and this one did not disappoint. The quality of the fabric is obvious and this light weight is great for spring and summer time wear. I plan on making this my motorcycle riding jacket during the summer time.

Not made in Sweden
14 August 2022

The specifications on the Nordstrom website states the jacket is made in Sweden but the label in the jacket states it was made in Vietnam. Now I must determine to return the jacket since the location of manufacture was a strong consideration when procuring the jacket. It is a nice jacket but the luster is tarnished by misleading information.

Quality Jacket?
5 November 2021

I bought this jacket mid-October after doing some research on the Fjallraven Raven M jacket. It’s a well made jacket with tough stitching and durable zippers/buttons. This jacket is a shell type jacket meant for going over a sweater in the winter. They’re sized a bit bigger than normal so where I usually fit an XL I ordered a L and it fit perfectly, I’m 5’10 at 190lbs with broad shoulders. The jacket is a bit pricey but you’re getting a top shelf jacket for what you pay. It has a semi-tailored look and looks great as well! It’s tough to find Fjallraven in Western Canada so I ordered from Mountain Steals and the shipping was speedy and the customer service reps were very helpful! Would recommend ordering this jacket from Mountain Steals 10/10.

Small sizing and odd configuration for an urban jacket
25 March 2021

No doubt the Fjallraven materials are of quality but the size is remarkably small. I ordered a XXL as I'm 6'3 and around 250 pounds. This jacket hangs around the belt line; I'd envisioned it at least 3/4 of the way to my knees. Its snug around my 58" chest. There is a waist cinch that runs around the bellybutton-line? Yet the biggest disappointment would have to be that the hand pockets have no "angle" to them and I can totally see people's cellphones falling out of the pocket while walking - never the less sitting down. An oddly assembled jacket for nearly $300 retail.

Solid Jacket

I like the canvas material. It seems durable. Having many pockets is convenient. When driving you can zip up the lower part of the 2 way zipper so the garment is loose around the hips. It is a bit big but there is room for layering. The sleeves are a little on the long side. All in all a good comfortable lighter style jacket.

Stylish and versatile
18 December 2017

I love the style and quality. My only very minor gripe is that while it's very nice that there's a draw cord for the waist and one for the hem, the draw cords are basically thick yarn-type strings tied into a loop on each end for you to pull on -- I wish they used actual cord locks instead on the ends of the draw cords. For what it's worth, I had to order a size down for a better fit. I think these jackets are designed to be roomier for you to layer (if you want to) underneath. I am on the slimmer side though. Sleeves are also longer than I usually like, even after ordering a size down.Having said all that, this is now my go to jacket because it looks very nice and because it's pretty versatile for the weather we have in the Pacific Northwest. It's not an insulated jacket, but it's perfect for wearing on top of layers as a windbreaker/water resistant shell for the mild (but wet) winter days out here.

The Best Jacket I've Ever Owned
17 December 2019

As the title reads its one of the best jackets I've ever owned. Initially I picked up one in Dusk, and ever few days I would have someone comment "Nice jacket" its that good.Excellent fit, M65 pockets on breast and hips, interior pocket inside. The armpit holes are perfect and allow free range of motion. My only grips is that there isn't two inside pockets with a zipper. I actually just bought another one in Dark Sand a few days ago on sale so I have two of the same jacket just in different colors. This is unheard of from me.The jacket is extremely well thought out and durable. I've been wearing the Dusk version for almost two yers and it only has minor wear along the bottom ridge from rubbing while getting in and out of my car. Extremely versatile and breathes well.

nice coat, neck is a little tight
13 May 2021

I am 6' 150# so the Fjallraven medium size usually fits me well. I like the long enough arms and waist cinch so the coat doesn't look like a bag. My only complaint is the neck is a little tight when snapped all the way up. Maybe they designed it without taking the rolled up hood thickness into account. The colors in the picture are left to right, dusk (different model), fern, and green. The "fern" is a bright green but the "green" is more drab. The hoods are also out. I think "green" looks better.
