The Lat attachment fits great with the FORCE USA My Rack. Quality is good and works just fine. The hand attachments and cables all feel nice to use. When constructing, one bolt will need to be swapped with another because one is to short. You'll need a set of Alan keys and make sure to grease it up before using. Otherwise very happy with the product.

I bought this cable attachment for a timber power rack. It was easy to assemble and modify to suit my purpose. The Olympic sleeves are plastic and have variations in diameter. One tight at end other is tight at base. Making it harder to slide plates on. As they are plastic they should wear down eventually. Otherwise it does what it is designed for.Good for price.

This lat pull down is definitely disappointing compared to other Force USA products.1. The weight plate couldn't fit over the main silver frame - Warranty was able to resolve this by sending the correct bushings. However, this involved drilling out the existing bushings which was definitely more effort than we expected. The new bushings once installed bent and caved in such that it still couldn't fit over the frame, so we ended up having to shave off some of the sides for it to fit.2. The upper cable once threaded through to the weight plate doesn't seem like it connects completely.3. While trying to connect the 6 joint chain to the vertical frame, we realised that the #11 bolt doesn't even fit through the chain. Had to use another gourd hook and try fit that ... MoreThis lat pull down is definitely disappointing compared to other Force USA products.1. The main reason for me to choose ForceUSA MyRack over other brands is because of this lat pulldown attachment. Easy to install and fun to use. The only downside is quality control, the chains are missing and one of the bolt is way too short, I had to file down the side of the rack to attach the nut.
Now this review is reflective of forceusa's quality control, and nothing to do with gym and fitness as they have been awesome and I have always had a great experience with them.As others have said, this attachment feels like it was outsourced from elsewhere compared to the usual good quality of the MyRack base unit. Bolt to attach the lower pulley to the base unit is too short to use with the 2x washers as per the instructions and you basically have to hammer the bolt through the chain that anchors to the unit. As others have said, the weight plate holder sleeve that runs up and down the attachment barely fits (have to smash it over the frame basically), and I had to chock the myrack base unit up to get extra height to bolt the bottom of the pulldown frame to the ... MoreNow this review is reflective of forceusa's quality control, and nothing to do with gym and fitness as they have been awesome and I have always had a great experience with them.As others have said, this attachment feels like it was outsourced from elsewhere compared to the usual good quality of the MyRack base unit. As others have said, the weight plate holder sleeve that runs up and down the attachment barely fits (have to smash it over the frame basically), and I had to chock the myrack base unit up to get extra height to bolt the bottom of the pulldown frame to the power rack as the holes didnt line up properly. I also witnessed parts of the frame starting to compress in when the bolts were tightened (chain anchor point and lower pulley) nowhere near anything excessively tight. No 160mm bolts supplied (need to keep the spare ones from the base unit) could really be an issue for a lot of people, I don't understand when companies do this to save what is probably $1 or less at the cost of pissing the customers off.Instructions could be a lot clearer and more concise also. All the negatives being said, unit seems pretty functional once installed which is what saved it from a 1 star review. I wouldn't imagine it is going to last anywhere near as long as the base rack though.
Contrary to the base myrack (solid unit), the lat pulldown was a disappointment. Some of the hardware couldn’t be securely screwed in (no hex nuts on some), the Olympic sleeves do NOT fit as intended as they are too short (I had to remove it’s head to slide them onto the holder. Finally, the weight carriage is very stiff and I had to lube it and yet STILL it doesn’t slide smoothly at all so you might have to sand it down or something. If you want the base myrack I can’t fault it but that lat pulldown attachment I honestly cannot reccomend.
The Lat Pulldown Attachment is fairly well made and has a smooth operation when rowing from the bottom pulley or pulling from the top pulley. It comes with a couple of bolts that are too short to go through the crossbeam of the My Rack base unit that has the logo in it. It was when trying to work out how to overcome this issue whilst putting it together, that I finally realised what the extra 2 bolts that come with the base unit were for - to fix a bolt measuring mistake with the included bolts that come with the lat pulldown. I've got no idea why they don't simply include the correct length bolts with the pulldown instead of confusingly packaging them with the base unit, but at least they have addressed an issue. There is a 6-link chain included to attach the ... MoreThe Lat Pulldown Attachment is fairly well made and has a smooth operation when rowing from the bottom pulley or pulling from the top pulley. It comes with a couple of bolts that are too short to go through the crossbeam of the My Rack base unit that has the logo in it. I've got no idea why they don't simply include the correct length bolts with the pulldown instead of confusingly packaging them with the base unit, but at least they have addressed an issue. There is a 6-link chain included to attach the bottom pulley to the bottom of the unit, but it is not long enough to allow the weight holder to reach down to the stopper. They need to include a chain with 2 more links to rectify this issue. I found an extra carabiner around the house and used this to lengthen the chain and allow the weight holder to reach the stopper and thus allowing the weight to be taken off the cables and ball-stoppers properly.Overall I'm happy with the unit, but it would be even better if they include a pec-deck attachment like my old rack has.
The cables are great. Very solid and fairly smooth for a home use cable system. I've lubed the pulley system every now and then to stop a squeak. One thing to be careful of is the metal loops at the top, and make sure you don't rub the cable against them. Otherwise, you'll probably get through the plastic layer and wear the metal cable out. Otherwise great system!
