All day comfort!

Lightweight baby! Yes, a super light weight helmet, built for all day comfort, with easily removable pads and inserts for the wash. Really can't ask for me in a helmet. The proframe is simply one of the best. Fortunately I have not tested the protection capabilities of this helmet but others have One negative is that the visor is permanently affixed. While it is technically a break away visor, it seems super snug... and I think if smack my face on something it might jolt my head/neck back too quickly which could cause whiplash or other unsavory body issues. I really don't know though, it seems like most people that have actually crashed in these don't really have issues. Just gotta crash really fast that way the visor breaks away faster I suppose...

I've now owned this helmet for a year and I love it. I do almost exclusively trail riding with one or two days of lift-assisted riding per year. This helmet is so light and comfortable that I reach for it even on the hottest days. I run extremely hot and the vents are a life-saver. Plus, I love that I can drink with my camelbak with barely any hassle. Exceptional helmet if you like earning your turns. Luckily I have not crashed hard enough on my head to test that function out, but I'll update my review in the event that I do.

Good trail helmet

I got this because it was on sale and it is a good trail helmet. My only complaint is that the visor is fixed. I am still fitting it as the medium pads tend to let it fall forward on my goggles and push them into my nose. I will try the large pads next time but it should help. I did go down while wearing it and I had no issues so it works.

Great helmet- well vented
3 June 2022

After a not so fun trip to the hospital I decided it was time to go full face. I tried most of the brands and this one fit me the best. I don’t wear goggles but did not feel like there was any vision interference. . My only suggestion is the visor would be better if it were adjustable

Great helmet. Worth the extra $$$ to upgrade for MIPS and super ventilation
2 July 2021

I went from a Fly Racing Default helmet to the Fox Proframe because I wanted a full face DH certified helmet that would also be lightweight and well ventilated for everyday trail use. This certainly meets those needs and I was glad to pull the trigger and purchase this. Stays super cool with good visibility. The visor is non adjustable but is not a big deal to me. Comes with extra pad sets so you can fine tune the fit to your liking.

Perfect for aggressive trail riding
22 May 2019

My riding has progressed to the point where I’m sending bigger jumps, drops, and carrying speed down technical rocky trails. I felt like my half shell was a little low on coverage for the type of riding I’m doing now. Also, going to be riding some DH parks, and this helmet is DH rated, maybe not quite as protective as a heavier full-on DH helmet, but certainly adequate. I measured in at the bottom of the range to fit a size large, and am using the thickest pads that came in the box. The cheek pads are snug, and the helmet stays in its place. Size chart seems to be accurate, and size up if you’re in between, because the largest cheek pads are very thick and will take up a lot of space if you need to size up. Range of vision is really open, and venting/airflow is phenomenal. It picks up every bit of moving air, probably vents even a little better than my Giro chronicle which is a half shell. Fidlock buckle on chin strap is excellent, was even able to close it with one hand while climbing. Easy to install a universal light mount (top/forward vents), I ran the straps between the MIPS liner and around the helmet body, to allow the MIPS system to move as intended. Will have to see how it does when the temps get up around 90, but I wore this thing for 3.5 hours last night around 70 and it felt great.

Safe and comfortable
27 July 2020

I bought this helmet for bike park use. As someone who's not trying to qualify for Rampage, I think it's perfect. I tried five models, all from different brands ranging from the lightest enduro helmet on the market to a couple of downhill helmets. For me the Proframe fit the best, and it has the perfect combination safety and comfort. As for fit, it comes with multiple pads for customization. Plenty of good helmets include that though, and I think my head just gets along with this one. I'm between a 7-3/8 and 7-1/2 baseball cap. I wear the Smith Vantage MIPS in a large and the Smith Session MIPS in a medium. I got the Proframe in a large. I don't feel the need to rip it off the moment I get on the chair. It's fine to wear while eating, and I can drink with a squirt bottle. Yet for all that comfort, the helmet still feels safe. Some of the lighter enduro helmets didn't feel as substantial. The Proframe has thicker padding, what feels like more coverage, and a more locked in feel. I've already taken one hard fall, and it stood up to the test.I bought this thing for bike park use, but because of that safety/comfort combo, I'll probably start wearing it on aggressive trail rides, too.

Saved my brain!
14 September 2021

10/5 stars for protection, 3/5 for crash replacement discount. in 2020 I participated in 2 races on the east coast. In my first race (and first time wearing the proframe helmet) I went dead sailor in the air following a 5' tabletop lip at roughly 20mph. Upon landing I crashed and hit the back of my head on a rock, which cracked the helmet about 6" up from the back. This helmet truly saved me from a concussion, or worse. I immediately set out to purchase a replacement, and my only qualm is that Fox offered me just 30% off for a crash replacement that was less than 2 weeks old. That said, I highly recommend this helmet for any use case!

Second Proframe!
30 August 2021

This is my second proframe I bought after I crunched my first Proframe outer layer in a Mild crash! (See Pics). This Fox Proframe did exactly what I wanted it to do, PROTECT!!! I was very lucky and I didn’t have any head or neck injury as I credit this to the MIPS system but also very impressed with how this guy crumbled ever so slightly. I love how cool and open it feels while riding even when it’s above 90 degrees here on the East Coast. Fox allows you to customize the fit with supplying all the necessary sizes for jaw and helmet pads. Bottom line here, The Fox Proframe is a remarkable full face MTBhelmet. It’s lightweight, MIPS Safe, very comfortable, and its overall breathability makes it impressive.

Ventilation galore
5 August 2021

Just got back from a downhill mountain biking trip and this helmet was awesome. The fit was very nice where it was snug but not headache-inducing and the few times I fell the helmet did not move around or change position. This is the second helmet that I tried (the other was a different brand) and even though they were both a size M, this one fit waayy better. I also cannot say enough good things about the ventilation of this helmet compared to others. While my friends were taking their helmets off on every lift ride, I was able to still catch a nice breeze and leave mine on and not overheat. I also really like the chin bar on this helmet which made attaching my Gopro to it very easy.
