Did not get 40 hours out of Fox Comp boots. Inner pull string guides pulled out of boots with very little effort. Buckles are extremely difficult to clasp down, the boot flexes before it locks. We've had to get someone to step on buckles to snap them down. Bought two pairs of Fox Comp boots and same issues on both sets. Fox quality has gone way down. Try different brands.

I bought boots in September and they are supper comfy and great.... before you get on the bike. I have broken a buckle every single time I ride. They are garbage boots. I would not buy fox boots again. I have ridden and broken the parts and then replaced and after a single rode they break again. Either a terrible design or weak and crappy quality. I have resorted to using my cheap 2 year old thos boots instead of them and will buy a new pair next year. Total waste of money

These boots didn’t last 6 months riding maybe every other week In the desert mostly sand dune and arroyos. Waste of money and this level of failure from normal use this early is dangerous. Don’t cheap out on your foot protection lesson learned. I have buddies with cheaper boots that have held up for years vs these. Fox has gone downhill since I rode when I was younger about 20 years ago.

I bought these 3 months ago when I got my DR650. I bought them on the recommendation of RyanF9 and I’m glad I did. These boots are very sturdy, tough, and they give me the confidence to do more off road without worrying about hurting my foot or ankle. My biggest gripes with these is the poor way the fabric seems to double over itself when buckling up, it seems like they could have been designed better to mitigate that.
I compared these against the Crossfire 3 srs, tech 10, Leatt. Gaerne 12/Tech 7's not considered as I've owned a couple pairs, but both absorb too much water. My criteria was fit/comfort, protection, and keeping my feet dry. Per 2 riding buddies, they would keep my feet dry, so I knew that wasn't going to be an issue. After trying on the Instinct 2's, I knew the fit was really good. Additionally, the protection (especially in the heal was improved over my Tech 7's that I use on the track). I tried on the Leatt, and knew that wouldn't work. Next was the Tech 10. I didn't care for these either. The last boot I tried on was the SRS 3. Typically, Sidi is too narrow. The Srs 3's don't seem to have that problem. I may get another pair for the Track.
These boots are the most comfortable boot I have ever owned! I own several pair of high end boots. Light weight with great flexibility and quality built! Thank you FOX and Rocky Mountain for another great product, and service!
I have these and also have a pair of Alpinestars Tech 7s. I like the Tech 7s but these are lighter and more comfortable to wear. The sizing is perfect since they have half sizes. These break in easier. I can't say for the durability yet but everything about these are very good.
I bought 4 different boots during Black Friday sale within $150 price range. They were all great, but personally, these were best looking and most comfortable. They all felt like ski boots, but I hear that wears out a bit when broken in. I’m normally size US 12.5 but I’m forced to buy size 13 in shoes. So, they are typically slightly too big but better than too small with a size 12. With that said, these felt like what I normally experience with size 13 shoes. I did rate lower on Features. Unlike Thor and O’Neals, it didn’t seem to have the metal toe plate or additional strapping for a more secure fit (although it feels unnecessary). Also, for durability, the rubber is already scuffed up from riding the MX, but they still look great.
Solid boots. I feel very confident in these, and they are comfortable. Sizing is pretty spot on and I was able to order online with success. Only reason I'm not giving it five stars is the buckles aren't quite as nice as they could be. The buckle system could be a little bit better designed, as I'm a little bit curious of its longevity. Overall greatly though
I'm an adv rider with a Tenere 700. I started with my trusty pair of TCX Baja Gore-Tex boots, a marvelously comfy boot for riding and walking in that offers nothing in lateral or crush protection above the sole. My boot size is 11.So, as I begin to push the bike harder, I start looking for an MC boot.First up, the O'Neal Elements.Pro:-Solid over toe protection, affordable, true to size.Con:-Above foot, ankle joint pressure in riding position.-Relatively mild lateral protection for a dedicated MC boot.Upon getting into a rider position I noticed increased pressure on the top of the ankle in a side-by-side comparison while wearing the Fox 23 Comp boot. Future inspection led me wanting more in the lateral protection. It is definitely better than an adv boot ... MoreI'm an adv rider with a Tenere 700. Future inspection led me wanting more in the lateral protection. It is definitely better than an adv boot but compared to other MC boots it was disappointing.Next up the Aplinestar Tech 3:Con:-Small toe box.-Odd fitting boot. I explain below. The review video is great from Revzilla, but I now know I most try boots on at a local store instead of playing the ship and return shopping game at this point. I go down from a size 11 to a 10 as per the video but it immediately becomes apparent my calf prevents the boot from closing and the toe box is tight wearing thin cotton soaks. I go up to a size 11 and the toe box is still tight but the boot closes with no addition room for pants or armor. On to the next. The last boot, 2023 Fox Comp boots:Pro:-Solid lateral protection.-Comfortable-Long straps for flexible fitment.Con:-The lateral protect is not on a pivot, however I did not notice any impairment in rider position.I choose these because the adjustability in the clasps for my 18" diameter calf size and the affordability.
