Introducing the latest Oztent Foxwing 270 Awning (LHS) Series II, Oztent has manufactured their best awnings yet. With upgraded features, including a full 270 degrees of coverage from harmful UV sunlight (UPF50+). Designed for simple operation, the Foxwing 270 is able to be set up by 1-person, as a one-piece, easy swing-out awning that can be set up and packed down in minutes. This awning has zips on all sides for compatible accessories, featuring mould and rust resistant materials produced through the manufacturing process. Under the canopy, the Foxwing includes integrated toggles designed to hold LED lights (not included) for use at night. Just got back from the first trip out with this awning, side walls and an RV5 Tent. Easy to set up and all worked very well together. Being Victoria we had wind, wet and sunshine all in the same day, and it took it all.

I bought this last week and found the fitting options as in the manual only covered attaching it to a Rhino rack with the supplied brackets and hardware. So as I didn't have a Rhino rack, I went out and bought one as my existing rack was a square section without the slot in the top which is needed to take the "T" mounting bolts. (Although I did discover later that I could have used a U bolt but the manual didn't even mention that) So in fitting the supplied bracket to the rhino rack, the awning was now to high to fit through the Garage door opening!So off I went to roof racks galore and lo and behold, I find that Rhino rack make a right angle bracket to drop the height of the awning down so now it fits through the garage door opening. I put the Foxwing on my 80 series. Easy fitment to my Ironman roof cage, easy to set up and pack away. The quality is great and the bag for the poles and pegs is a nice added touch. Overall very happy with the Series 2 Foxwing.

Having used the awning now a couple of times I am please with it’s ease of use and apparent durability. The only reason I’m not giving five stars is because of the lack of available mounting bracket choices. I had to so some serious research online to find what I need to mate this to my Yakima HD rack with enough room to allow ease of unzipping the cover.
Buying from the mark and the team is just great customer service is unreal and they listen to your needs and wants and they make suggestions as to what you need if I could give 10 stars I would. The fox wing 270 awning would be the best on the market easy to fit and fit straight to the rhino platform bat wing awning brackets and having the ability to add on a tent and walls is a big winner and gives plenty of shade comes in both left and right hand side fittment just another reason why I shop with Mark @ A247Thank you again for a great product
Briiliant product with the exception of the 4 plastic hidge sections that adjoin the arms as they snap very easily in windy conditions. I have another older model 270 on the other side of my camper to which I redesigned with tubular alloy inserts that slip over the existing poles & I then formed the ends flat to the same thickness as the hidge & drilled a hole for the bolt to pass through & secure, it works like a dream & shall be coverting my new 270 asap
Everything is plastic , mounting brackets to pole pivot hinges , poles have jammed up after one use.
I ordered a new Foxwing to replace my old one that had been on my van for over ten years. A tee branch went through my old one. The Foxwing is great, the rubber strap that holds the poles in place when folded is a little cumbersome and catches on the zipper on the awning cover making it difficult to put the cover on quickly. Perhaps a slightly larger cover at that end would solve that problem. Otherwise a great concept and expect more than ten years out of the new one.
We recently purchased our 270 foxwing series 2 awning in preparation for our 3 month trip on the road. It broke within 15 minutes of its first setup, a light breeze sufficient to break the plastic awning spar hinges and rip the canopy. It was the only awning to break amongst the variety of vehicle-fitted awnings at our camping spot, those with much cheaper setups looking quite bemused by the failed Oztent product. Oztent customer care was abysmal, so I threw it in the bin and bought a Darche which has been awesome, and seen us travel remote, bush and off grid through 3 states so far without a hitch. Don’t be fooled by Oztent’s illusion of technical brilliance. The series 2 Foxwing is cheap, flimsy and gimmicky and not fit for purpose, with zero customer support when ... Great design. quick and easy to setup/pack-up.Would be good in the aluminium rail could come powdercoated black.
