These skates are super cool, very good over rough roads and super fast when your on smooth surfaces. Turns brilliantly. The shorter axle spacing compared to a 4 wheel skate takes some getting used to but after a few rides you wouldn't know the difference.

In all honesty, there's not much else I can use. My foot width is literally off the charts. I'm technically a 10US at 7E width.I typically wear a size 12 shoe, with Altra running shoes, I can get away with 11. Skate-wise, I have to use a 45 liner, in a 46-47 shell.Essentially, if it weren't for FR shells, I would have to get very expensive custom skates made.Also, because I'm oversizing for the sake of foot width, the ball of my foot is further back than the shell size expects, making the 7 mounting holes on the FR1 absolutely essential, for moving my frame back a notch.This is the 2nd FR1 I have bought, and planning more for different setups. They're really comfy with a Reign or MyFit liner, with Superfeet insoles.
LOVE these skates, even though they are not carbon, they are so light and super comfortable, Looking forward to weather getting cooler so I can give them the urban treatment and skate to work!
