A nice enough case with good air flow. It still bigger than I would have liked and there is a lot of wasted space in the case if you don't have any radiators. I am a little disappointed, but what else is out there for a compact ATX case that fits a full size ATX motherboard?

Handling it is not rocket science and a few minutes organizing the cables solves the problem, and is a good idea for airflow. The Meshify 2 Compact is sturdy. Problem solved, and it looks good centered under the white LED bank. The mesh front helps tame the LED brightness. A picture is attached to this showing the results. There are plenty of options for mounting 2.5” SSDs, and a couple of spaces for 3.5” HDDs in the tray in the power supply bay. The tray can be removed, and should be if you are not installing HDDs since it will provide more room for power supply cables. I would recommend removing it before you install the power supply and cables. A modular power supply will also help alleviate some of the clutter in the power supply bay. If I were going to change anything, I’d probably add about another half to three-quarters of an inch of width to give a bit more cable clearance behind the motherboard and some additional clearance for the CPU cooler. For now, if the extra space is needed Fractal offers the Meshify 2 which is both wider and deeper. But, if your CPU cooler fits within the specs, the Meshify 2 Compact is an excellent option.

It was super easy to build in this case. I didn't think it would be useful to remove the top panel but it was actually super helpful to open up the case. The build quality on it feels super solid and high quality. The angular design is pretty cool-looking.
The Fractal Meshify 2C is a great case with a lot of premium features at this price point. Very modular with a lot of flexibility to build the way you want to. Would buy this brand again without hesitation.
I upgraded to this case from a Corsair 300R. First thing I was blown away by was how much easier it was to work with. Fan mount holes are actually rails that'll let you slide them along to make adjustments to positioning. Side panels secure without screws of any kind. The whole top comes out - this was undoubtedly the best part of building in this case. Front panel comes out too. Cable management on the back is nice. It comes with velcro straps on removable plastic brackets that snap into the case on the left, as well as straps on the right side for your CPU power cable. It's cramped outside of the cable pathway on the left, though.The downside to the side panel latching system is that it will make you have to work hard on your cable management. Your back side-panel will not stay on. if you have a non-modular PSU, you will likely either need to not care about cable management and just let everything hang out in the main compartment, or ditch the 3.5" drive bays in the bottom to get space for cables. I don't see building in this case without a modular PSU - but this seems to be a trend these days.You can do a radiator in push/pull in the front (I used an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280, which has a thicker-than-average rad). Depending on your motherboard layout, you may not be able to get your USB3-A/USB3-C cables routed through the side grommets, but your motherboard power cable will probably work fine. I don't think that this case was designed for this, as the grommets are mostly covered by the pull fans, but them being angled makes it work.Overall, it was a pleasant building experience with a couple of challenges with cable management - some self-imposed. Beautiful, premium-feeling case, without being particularly heavy.

I found the area behind the PSU was rather cramped and required having the PSU pulled partially out to attach the power cables. I am using a Seasonic PSU, and they are not know for high flex cables, so take that into consideration. I also have the HDD trays in the full forward position. Moving the HDD's to the floor of the main compartment (on top of the PSU shroud) basically blocks the air holes in the shroud for the PSU. As my PSU is installed with the fan blowing upwards, the natural flow of hot air, this alternate configuration was not acceptable. A nice feature is that the Meshify 2 Compact can have the top removed. Super easy to build in once you figure out the layout. Plenty of airflow and the filters should keep all the dust out of the case, which is very important in drier warmer climates. No glass is great as well! The only slight con I have is with the model name. This is definitely a larger case and not compact.
I like this case for the exterior design and appeal, but quality of material, cable management woes and PSU issues is something I would like to avoid next time in choosing a compact case. Coming from owning many top quality cases like Corsair, Lian-Li and Silverstone, this case I would not buy again. Sorry Fractal team, I wanted to like this case, but it needs some tweaking and quality control review.... and my finger still hurts from the cheap thin metal. Overall, not happy with this case and the metal material quality is cheap. Aside from the case issues, Newegg service and delivery was outstanding as always.
I have an earlier generation of the Meshify case, which I liked, but this one is even better. Being able to easily remove the top and the sides makes it easy to work on. There's a nice cutout in the back so you can put your CPU cooler in after installing the motherboard. I didn't want the drive cage in the bottom, and wasn't sure if I could remove it, but referred to the manual which showed to remove it from the back.Everything is so clean and nice with the wiring going around the back instead of having a nest of cables on top of the motherboard.I would definitely buy a Fractal Design case again for future builds.
