Fractal Design Meshify C Blackout Tinted Tempered Glass ATX Case

(2,255 reviews)

Meshify strikes an aggressive pose in the Fractal Design lineup with unparalleled cooling performance and a defiant new look. Like black diamond facets, the angular asymmetry of the Meshify C TG Dark Tint carves a space uniquely its own as a new force in high-airflow design. Tempered glass with a distinctive tint completes the stealth-inspired black-on-black aesthetic with exceptional style. An open ATX layout with intelligent space utilization creates an unrestricted airflow path from the mesh front intakes directly through key components to exhaust, ensuring heat is never an issue. The Meshify C TG Dark Tint has a remarkably compact footprint with the high-end component support of a larger tower, and with seven fan mounts and multi-radiator liquid cooling capability, it has the cooling capacity to match. When performance is top priority and compromise is not an option, Meshify has you covered in style.

Beautiful case that breathes great!

I purchased this case to replace a pre-built case that didn't have good air flow. When I installed all of my parts into this case, I was extremely happy because of how easy it was to organize and route my cables. I also love the fact that every filter and dust screen is removable for easy cleaning. The case looks amazing and performs even better. My temps rarely get above 70C when under a heavy load or during stress tests. The tempered glass side cover was scratched when I opened the box for the first time. One of the front fans came loose and was rubbing against the inside of the panel. I emailed Fractal and they shipped me out a new cover the next day. Unfortunate circumstances, great outcome. I highly recommend this case to anybody that wants a smaller ATX case.

Best small ATX form factor ive used.

Word of advice. Its small size comes with something to consider. 1. I don't recommend using a tower coolers for the CPU. 2. Plan in advance on your future builds knowing its a smaller case. The case's small size really increased the CPU temperature when i went from an AIO cooler to a tower. Especially during games. The case just doesn't have enough air volume to get the heat out. I was using a BeQuiet! Darkrock Pro-4 on a 12600k and a 3060ti and was seeing my GPU max out at 84C and the CPU in the mid 80s playing Overwatch (which is an easy game to run). This was all while i had 5 Noctua 120mm fans running. I went back to an AIO and it helped alot. The case was easy to work with. I can easily say Fractal is probably the most user experience focused designer in the industry. They don't always take the easy road and and find simple but very excellent solutions for design. An easy recommendation for a small ATX case that has everything one could ask for. Just be mindful of your build. The case design isnt the issue in my thermal experience but more of not having the right synergy with parts in a small case.

My first Fractal Design case was R4 in 2014. I always liked how FD designs simple and elegant cases, right angles, monochrome theme, nice little accents like chromed stands off, white trays. And Meshify C is not an exception. Meshify C combines the best of Fractal Design - it is simple and elegant, has a well organized internal layout, with an excellent airflow of the case. I built an air-cooled system for its low-maintenance and this case is a perfect choice for it. You can fit giant tower CPU cooler with low profile memory modules (Noctua D15 in my case), two 140mm front-mounted radiators, and full-sized GPU with triple fans. It has well-though internal layout. It comes with 3 velcro cable ties mounted on the rear panel near the front mesh so you can organize all your cables using them. The space behind the motherboard is enough to cable manage your thick PSU and fan cables. Speaking about aesthetics, the full tempered glass panel looks very clean and beautiful. I went with a tinted glass version and if you don't have lights inside of your case and want to show off your internal components it will be a problem as it's very hard to see through without lighting. I put a white LED strip under the chassis side so the internal all well illuminated with white color for a clean (no RGB) look. I had concerns about noise before buying this case, however, I barely can hear it when I'm lightly using the computer. My main issue with the case was side panel screws which are hand-mounted and not that comfortable to screw them in, but probably won't be doing that very often... Overall, this is a great case and would definitely recommend to anyone building a system with one GPU.

Decent case, but you probably want the Meshify 2 Compact
19 July 2021

This is a good locking case, and decent to work in, but there are a few things worth noting and several annoyances that are fixed in the follow up Meshify 2 Compact. There isn't much room between the top of the motherboard and the top of the case, meaning that any sort of top-mounted radiator needs to be a maximum of 240mm, and even then you need to make sure you have short ram. A 240mm rad in my case brushes against the VRM heatsink and barely clears my ram. On the plus side, you can fit a top mounted 240mm AIO in this small case. The only way you're getting a 280mm rad on the top of this case is if you mount the fans on the outside and the rad on the inside. The foam front filter is not removable (at least non-destructively), which is going to make it challenging ... MoreThis is a good locking case, and decent to work in, but there are a few things worth noting and several annoyances that are fixed in the follow up Meshify 2 Compact. The side panel is kind of annoying to open, requiring 4 thumb screws on the door. The Meshify 2 Compact also fixes this. Finally, the included fans also aren't nearly enough to pull in air through its heavy front filter. I'd recommend at least adding another 120 to the front, or ideally use two 140's. Again, the Meshify 2 Compact ships with two front 140's already mounted.

Easy to build, great airflow, looks pretty

I’m pretty cheap so when I decided to move my computer to a new case, I was originally going to use my brothers old case...that is until I took apart my whole pc only to realize the motherboard didnt fit. oops. I had to make a rushed decision because I needed to finish the build that day so i did a little research. I was between this and the NZXT H510. Similar size and design from afar but most people said the biggest difference is airflow. I think higher price is definitely worth it for this case but i’ll go into detail below. I’m am in no way an expert but it seems with the nzxt model you pretty much just have the option of negative pressure. Because of the mesh, this fractal case really gives you options and is basically has three fully exposed sides and one partially exposed side. Now when it comes to building the machine its very easy and a lot of fun! My brother built mine for me the first time because I was using a hand-me-down case with no instructions, so this was essentially my first time building a computer. I don’t think it could have been much easier, especially with how thorough the instructions are. The only issue I had is that it is pretty easy to snag one of the fan wires with the motherboard, and there isn’t really any warning about it in the instructions. I had to remove the motherboard multiple times to figure it out. Once it’s all set up you can really make it look nice because of the cable management options available to you. You basically have plenty of places to tuck away the wires. If you do have some pretty parts that you want to show off, I wouldn’t buy the tinted glass version. Unless you have a lot of LEDs, you aren’t going to really see anything. Been loving the case so far, I haven’t really pushed the limits yet in terms of the cooling but I’m pretty confident it will work well. Oh , and being able to get the case so last minute from microcenter was a breeze, just wish there was one a little bit closer to me!

Great Mid-Tower Sized Case
1 June 2022

My previous case proved to not be the best set-up for what I wanted. That said, I still wanted a mid-size tower or smaller because I'm not a fan of full tower set-ups. They're just too big and waste space. This case was really not much bigger than my old one, but its layout and configuration are superb. It has space for three SSDs to be mounted to the panel behind the motherboard shield. It also has multiple HDD bays underneath the main area. The cable management set-up is awesome and I finally have a clean cable set-up in my visible part of my case for the first time ever. Combine this case with some be quiet! fans for the quietest, coldest computer set-up ever. I swear, this thing runs quieter under load than a MacBook and this has 4 system fans. I hate being blinded by a bunch of lights running off of stuff (and I've tried my best to avoid RGB anything) so having the extra tint really makes my PC blend into the environment, and that's what I want. Beautiful touch - the top mesh for the fan set-up is magnetic, and can be easily pulled off of the top of the case for quick and easy dusting. All-in-all, awesome case.

Great case
21 June 2021

I wanted to upgrade my computer and wanted a smaller case. I wanted a Corsair 4000d, but they were sold out at the time so I settled for this. This case suits my need as it is quite small, but is still able to support atx motherboard. Cable managment was easer for this case despite it small size and airflow is good.I also like the angular mesh design of the case. The only downside to this case are that the current front fan is mediocre, so you'll probably need to buy two 140mm or three 120mm to replace it. For the three 120mm fan setup, you'll have to remove the harddrive cage in the front. This is hard to word, but the front foam dust filter is annoying to clean in that foam cant be taken out of the front mesh to wash, so you'll have to take a vacuum or use an air ... MoreI wanted to upgrade my computer and wanted a smaller case. Great case, but not for vertical ports for PCIe
21 August 2020

I ordered this case because of its amazing reviews and, honestly, it is a great case. I purchased it for my first ever solo PC build and I do love the case except for one major flaw. When building the PC, I noticed that any cards that were installed into the PCIe slots would have to be angled ever so slightly in order to make sure any ports were fully accessible. That's not the worst, but it isn't the best. But what I found out was the slots are actually not sized correctly, and it made it completely impossible to use one of the cards I have for my PC. I have a USB hub, one where each port has a dedicated bus - in order to eliminate bandwidth issues when using multiple devices such as webcams - and, as you can see in the image, the ports are not fully accessible ... MoreI ordered this case because of its amazing reviews and, honestly, it is a great case. I have a USB hub, one where each port has a dedicated bus - in order to eliminate bandwidth issues when using multiple devices such as webcams - and, as you can see in the image, the ports are not fully accessible because the ports are vertical. You can see in my image at least one end cut off, but what I didn't take a picture of that I found out is simply that a USB drive will not even fit vertically in an empty slot on the back of the case at all. This is a huge flaw and, honestly, rather upsetting. I removed the card from my PC and honestly am thinking I may purchase an entirely different case for my PC because of this. You could probably manage around this if you're ok with filing down your case, but I really don't want to do that on a brand new case, or even an old one honestly. All that said - this is a brilliant case, but *do not* use it if you have PCIe cards with vertical ports as opposed to horizontal. The chances of being able to use those ports will be slim to none if a USB drive won't even fit. Would be a 5 star rating if not for this one major issue. I contacted Fractal via their website about this issue nearly 3 weeks ago and have not heard back.

Really wanted to like it
28 May 2021

I really wanted to like this case and i did. I bought 2, one with a glass side panel and one with just metal. I had no issues until i decided to swap motherboards on the computers. When disconnecting the front USB connector it pulls the plastic guide on the motherboard right out. This happened with both cases with 2 different branded motherboards. I was able to put one of the plastic guides back in place, but the other one a pin got bent on the motherboard and when trying to bend it back, it broke. Of course this happened to the more expensive motherboard. So no front panel USB now. Im not sure what the deal is, but this happened on both cases. I only bought fractal cases in the past and never had this happen before.

Showing age but still performs
16 May 2022

Really great compact midtower--lots of places to tuck and tie down, good use of space. For airflow focused builds, it's top notch, and it still fits an ATX motherboard and 300mm length cards like the 3090 (or at least 299mm, in my case), and has no problem with cpu fan towers up to 158mm tall (NH-U12S in my case). In terms of ease of build and access, it's showing it's age compared to newer models from Fractal--a standard size PSU needs it's own bracket (included) screwed into the case, and the sidepanel is secured by 4 thumbscrews. It's not quite so versatile that you can realistically/comfortably stick in a 360mm AIO. The I/O is a little anemic.
