Franklin Starter Badminton/Volley Set

The net setup, the rackets and fabric volleyball are all great and we have enjoyed the set. The birdies that come in the set are very disappointing. The plastic on them was super fragile and rigid, which of course means they broke the first day so definitely buy backups.

Very sturdy and nice set. Exactly what I was looking for to put up in our back yard. Does good even with living somewhere extremely windy. Very happy and excited to play with my kids this summer

DO NOT BUY

DO NOT BUY worthless chinese garbage broke on first use. All materials are cheap chinesium trash. Only part that is nice is the carry handle as you carry the package to the trash after your first use!

How cheap can something be built?

Bought this as a Christmas present to 2 young ladies one of the other 10. First time the volley ball hit the net the legs detente broke that holds the 3 sections to make a pole together, why not make it strong enough for the purpose it is designed. If it's a volley ball net a volley ball with hit it from time to time...I will see if the store will do anything for me but I'm not hopeful. Either way the review stands so someone else doesn't waster their time buying this garbage. If you plan on taking it to the beach and leaving it after playing for 15 minutes it's worth the 50.00. but in my opinion 15 minutes of fun after 20 minutes of set up isn't justified.

Satisfactory for the money

We've had this set for only about a week. I'm sure it'll be fine for our needs, but we noticed that the 2 shuttlecocks that come with it are already cracking apart. We are thankful that we also ordered extra shuttlecocks-which are a better quality. Recommend purchasing extra shuttlecocks. Also, racket handles are just hard plastic - they are not leather wrapped or anything.

The good (and the bad)

This was very easy to set up- it will be easier with 2 people. It was missing the needle to pump up the volleyball but fortunately I have a couple around the house. The shuttlecocks are very flimsy and both broke within the first day, so I will have to buy some other, sturdier ones. The elastic bands that hold the net to the post have also broken, but are easily replaced with hair ties. It came with a nice carrying/storage bag and the poles are nice and sturdy. All in all, this has gotten a lot of use at my house this year. We will see how the rest of it stands up to regular use!

Volleyball and activity net fail

I would not recommend this product. It fell apart as I installed it. The racquets fell apart as well within the first few uses. Don’t waste your money on this poorly made product! I would give this zero stars 🥲

You get what you pay for

Happy with the products because I had appropriate expectations, considering the low price. Our net ripped within a couple days but I think we had it pulled too tight, even so we are still able to use it. My 14 year old son and I set it up easily ourselves. The birdies are flimsy and bent so I’d suggest buying a separate pack. Overall we’ve been happy with the purchase and it’s provided a lot of hours of fun!

net and racquets good but shuttlecocks are atrocious

like the racquets and net (which is higher than i expected since lowest point is at 5 ft tall) but the shuttlecocks broke upon the first hit for both of them. within a few more hits, they each shattered completely so this is very unfortunate.
