This Freewell 58mm Magnetic Quick-Swap Circular Polarizer Filter helps reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a nonmetallic surface. This results in a noticeable increase in the saturation of skies and foliage. An included Freewell 58mm magnetic adapter ring allows the circular polarizer filter to be used on a lens with 58mm front filter threads. Each surface of the Freewell 58mm Magnetic Quick-Swap Circular Polarizer Filter is multi-coated to help eliminate internal ghosting and reflections. It also features a resistance coating that offers greater protection to oil, dust, and scratches, and it helps it stay clean longer than uncoated filters. The coatings are also hydrophobic, resulting in an improved beading effect when in contact with water for greater cleaning efficiency. The Freewell 58mm Magnetic Quick-Swap Circular Polarizer Filter also includes 58mm front threads, permitting the use of screw-on filters with 58mm rear threads.

After using a 5-star-reviewed Variable Neutral Density filter that turned my image into hot garbage with dark spots in the sky, green cast, and mushy shadows-this filter was a breath of fresh air. Six stops has been a good starting point for me, flexible enough for a few different situations outdoors. There has been no color cast, no vignetting, and no degraded image quality so far.

Super high quality filter. The magnetic system and ability to stack multiple filters makes this the solution for uncompromising image quality in hybrid (stills/video) shooting. I found it impossible to get distant focus for video on my telephoto lens using a variable ND. With a Freewell 6 stop ND filter I could get great video with ease and remove the filter quickly for still. It's a gamechanger.

Very cool design and 2/3 the price of their competitor. I rarely shoot in situations where a CPL is needed but am occasionally challenged by conditions where a CPL comes in handy (event photography) - this then becomes a very attractive option versus trying to quickly screw and CPL on and off while "running and gunning".

Freewell magnetic filters are exceptionally made and have no color cast. Very easy to install and remove, and the filters do not interfere with the lens hood removal or installation. They can be stacked as required, awesome design and build quality. I highly recommend the Freewell Magnetic Filter System.
I love this system. It is so easy to swap out the filters. I even bought their step-up rings for my smaller lenses so I only need a few filters that will fit everywhere, and they stack! The quality is amazing and there is almost no color cast (as much as you see with any other filters).Downside: The lens cap. It is not a deal killer but it does fall off when pulling it out or putting it into my bag. Also if you put the cap on top of another magnetic filter, it is tough to take the cap off without removing the filter with it.
High Quality and magnetic attachment is strong. No worry about it falling off. The problem is the CPL is very hard to rotate. With a lens hood on even more so and on my 100-400 with the small opening in the hood, next to impossible. This system with filters that you don?t have to rotate is excellent.
Great idea - mount a small magnetic rim on the lens, then attach any of the magnetic filters to it by simply sticking it on top, CP, ND and graduated ND. The front is threaded so the standard filters can be stacked on top. It comes with a beautiful aluminum cover that sticks to either the rim or the filter. BUT, and this is really frustrating, the cover doesn't have any protrusion that can be used to pull it off when a hood is on the lens. Good luck peeling it off with the nails. Some hoods have a window which can be used to remove the cap, but some don't. My guess is that Freewell will come up with another cap design to fix this problem.
The one filter you can't do without- its effects aren't easy to add in post processing! I love Magnetic filters, easy to use and easy to attach. I wish this company would color code their filters
Magnetic filters are so nice to use- except if you have gloves on! Their. Tim edges are both a benefit and liability. My only wish is that they were color coded so I'd know which filter I left attached my last shoot.
Excellent filter I really enjoy the freewill filters except the LiPO filter but thats another item. This review is for the 10 stop CPL hybrid. This is an excellent filter and seems to be sharp, haven't had much time to use it as I had to send my camera in for repair. But for what I've used it for it is excellent and I really enjoy just placing it on and pulling it off instead of the normal twist off/on.Would I recommend: Definitely 200%
