Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut Cava 750ml

I received a reimbursement for this product from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. There are so many brands out there so this was my first time hearing of Freixenet. The bottle has a sleek black design to it and even though it is a cheaper wine, it makes it feel more expensive. I must have got a different version of this bottle as mine had more of a holiday look with stripes of black and gold. Gave me New Years celebration vibes. This brut is dry as described and for those who enjoy dry would be great as is, however I preferred it mixed into a mimosa and it gave it a perfect flavor. For the price point, I would buy this brand again.

I was completely expecting to hate this as I'm more of a Rosè type of gal, so any type of dry champagne or wine isn't my usual go to but I actually didn't mind it. I mixed it in with my favorite orange juice and had a couple of wonderful mimosas and was not disappointed. I really liked the black bottle as well. It looks very sophisticated and upscale so it would definitely be something I would take to a party or put out for a special event. It would go great with a nice dinner of fish or chicken and vegetables. Not too harsh and great for the price. I'd definitely get it again and would recommend it to others.

Received this for my honest review. I have not tried anything from this brand so I was curious to try it. It was more expensive than I anticipated but it wasn't crazy. We opened the bottle on Christmas Eve to kick off our celebration. At first I didn't find it to have too much of an after taste but then I noticed it more the more I sipped. It was decently dry for a sparkling wine, maybe a tad sweet and almost a hint bitter but it wasn't bad. We drank the whole bottle so clearly not horrible! Lol I'm a champagne snob so not sure I'd repurchase for myself but I definitely would for a gift!

The bottle would make a nice addtion to any party or well stocked bar. The wine is from Spain- so you will get a Crisp, clean and well-balanced sip with your pour. Cordon Brut is amedium-bodied wine and some would say that it has notes of: apple, pear, citrus flavors that will remind your mouth of a fall harvest of fruit. It is a pretty long finish that ends with a hint of of ginger that leaves your tongue dancing from the spice. This wine would go great for any dinner party with coworkers and would pair well with a chicken or fish dish. Love how well balanced this one is, really good for the price point if you are looking not to over spend. Hints of apple pear and citrus with a splash of ginger as well. It was very refreshing and light. Slightly on the sweeter side. Perfect for mimosas ! I really enjoyed it. I would recommend to friends and family. The bottle definitely caught my eye at first glance. I’m a fan of all black everything, especially if it’s nice and matte. I thought this looks so elegant and expensive! I was quite happy with this and definitely would purchase this as a gift or bring this to a party. The cava itself was good. It wasn’t too strong in flavor and didn’t have any aftertaste. It left me wanting more and I could for sure imagine myself enjoying this on any day of the year! There is 11.5% alcohol in this bottle. This is dry, which I absolutely love. It's crisp and creamy. I had this with some shrimp alfredo, it paired beautifully. This wine is perfect for any occasions. The label didn’t draw me in from a design perspective and the name is tricky to pronounce, but it is notably distinct with its black and hint of gold color scheme. What a pleasant surprise when I did try it out. It doesn’t break the bank from a price point perspective but definitely hits on the right notes when it comes to taste and flavor. I am surprised I liked this sparkling wine as much as I did. I stay away from dry wines at all costs. Im usually more of a fan of Rose and other fruitier sweeter wines (sparkling wines as well). I didn’t hate this one even tho I went in fully expecting to hate it. It is dry but not to the point its offensive to the palate like others. It worked so well for mimosas. I wouldn’t drink it as is but for sure mixed with OJ. I bought another one to take with me to my friend’s bday party this weekend.

Dry, smooth, clean, light, just a hint of acidity

Gave this cava a go while on introductory offer - definitely worth snapping up at this reduced price! Was slightly drier than I’d anticipated, so found the first sip a little sharp but my palate quickly adjusted… Fresh and more reminiscent of champagne than prosecco - delicious. Hint of apples. Tried with some frozen cherries in - that worked! Also tried with a splash of sparkling water for a lunchtime spritzer - worked brilliantly for a refreshing and lower alcohol tipple. Grab it while on offer…I’m getting more!
