Back by popular demand, General Mills has given in to the overwhelming request and brought back the sugary, syrupy, cinnamon treat that is French Toast Crunch to US shelves to invade your taste buds with that familiar taste you remember back in the 90s.I'll never understand what possessed them to take it off the shelves in 2006, but I'm glad to have it back. Of course if you want to buy some this sugary goodness, DO NOT buy it off of Amazon! The sellers on here love to overprice things just for the sake of it. It only costs around $4.00 a box in stores, so why pay $7.00+ more for it on here? The best places to look for this are Walmart, Target, CVS, or Walgreens. I didn't say Martin's only because oddly none of the stores in my area carry them.Overall, if you're ... MoreBack by popular demand, General Mills has given in to the overwhelming request and brought back the sugary, syrupy, cinnamon treat that is French Toast Crunch to US shelves to invade your taste buds with that familiar taste you remember back in the 90s.I'll never understand what possessed them to take it off the shelves in 2006, but I'm glad to have it back. Same shape, same box design--minus the beloved Wendell, same taste (despite what some may say). Anyone noticed that they're bringing back 90s greats? Last Summer Coca Cola brought back Surge soda after an 11 year hiatus and now we've got back French Toast Crunch. Since some of the 90s most tastiest products are making returns, I think it's time we started knocking on Post's door to bring back Oreo O's cereal as well!

I was excited when I saw this. I love the flavored of regular Cinnamon Toast Crunch so I was hoping for big French toast flavor. All though the cereal looks cute, they’re actually mini toasts, but the flavor is practically non existent. Just puffed plain cereal no cinnamon or French toast flavor at all

They are also easy to put in a bag and bring for a baby or toddler snack and they're big enough that the clean up from dropped pieces are easy to find and grab. The taste is great. The cinnamon syrup taste it leaves behind in the milk is delicious and I don't feel bad eating it.I definitely recommend if you can find it. You can't always and that can be frustrating because its completely unique. But if you can you better get your hands on it quick. You won't be disappointed.

I don't know how they did it, but they really did capture the whole taste of actual french toast in this cereal, the hint of vanilla, the maple syrup, it tastes and smells just like it, only crunchier of course. When I first openned the box and looked inside, I about started laughing, my first impression was that this was like teeny tiny little pieces of toast, so cute! I have to admit, the thought of having my kid pull out her dolls and mini tea set passed through my mind when I first saw this. Once I got past the first impression of the cute design of this cereal and maple scent it gives, I went on to tasting it. I found it that it tastes good both dry and even better with milk in a bowl. Once I got past the first impression of the cute design of this cereal and maple scent it gives, I went on to tasting it. I found it that it tastes good both dry and even better with milk in a bowl. The only thing that I would change about this cereal is the fiber content. I would like it better if it had the density and fiber content of something like FiberOne Honey Clusters. That would also be more fulfilling and satisfying. So for now, I mix the two type of cereal together in a bowl at about a 50/50 ratio, which makes for a more satisfying meal. I hope they add more fiber to it in the future and maybe a bit less sugar.
Growing up, this was the box of cereal I would beg my parents to get me every time we went grocery shopping, and now as an adult, it is what I treat myself with if it happens to grace the shelves of my store that day. The maple syrup flavor and cinnamon, and once mixed with milk, it just tastes perfectly like mini French toast crisps and brings me back to sleepovers with my best friends in the summer time. It truly makes my mornings a little bit brighter when I get to enjoy a bowl of this wonderful treat.
this is the best cereal out there!! I love cereal period. but this cereal is a game changer!! I'm so happy they have brought it back! the only thing I dislike is how hard it is to find this cereal at Walmart, since that seems to be the only store who sells it still. I stayed on the west side near pinehills florida and every Walmart out there had it. I recently moved back to the east side of Orlando and sadly more Walmarts don't have it than have it. Even though it states in stock at most of the Walmarts or limited stock, I find out the hard way that's not true. if it says limited stock when you check your local Walmart, most likely they don't have it even tho it shows they do. Just trying to help warn as many people as I can since it's very disappointing expecting ... Morethis is the best cereal out there!! I love cereal period. but this cereal is a game changer!! I know I can't go in Walmart without buying a bunch of stuff I really don't need lol. back to the cereal If you haven't tried it yet than you definitely need to!!
General Mills - French Toast Crunch Cereal is a truly enjoyable product. The package mentions phrases as "You asked, it's back!" and "Remember the '90s?" Further details indicate that in 1995, twenty-years ago, General Mill's had just come out with a whole new cereal bursting with cinnamon and syrup taste called "French Toast Crunch". I do certainly recall that busily complicated year in my life and vaguely having seen this cereal having been just introduced then, where it remained on the market for a relatively brief span of time. Back then, for one reason or another, I had not tried it. Well, I assert without a doubt, that I am glad General Mills has now decided to return this cereal to the market for consumers to buy and enjoy. Further details indicate that in 1995, twenty-years ago, General Mill's had just come out with a whole new cereal bursting with cinnamon and syrup taste called "French Toast Crunch". The nutritional facts specify, the 11.6 ounce(328 gram) container, at a serving size of 3/4 cup, has about twelve servings per container. It is a primarily corn-based cereal product with a potent cinnamon spice and sweet syrupy flavoring. My only not so positive issue with this cereal product is the sugar content need not be so highly prominent; though, that's not surprising and really is to be expected. This cereal not only tastes and smells precisely like authentic French Toast, but appears remarkably identical to a bunch of miniature slices of French Toast. Shaped and sized equivalent to one another, each nugget even has real looking toast crust. If eaten just after the milk is poured, it's rather crunchy, and it indeed needs to soak for awhile before it softens. This cereal doesn't become easily mushy, which many consumers would also find favorable. I believe that this cereal product would be appealing to both adults and children, but especially even more fun for kids. I am a firm believer in purchasing food as fresh as is possible, and I'm pretty sure the fact that this product is recently reintroduced and has an extra fresh "Better If Used By" date is key to why it appears and tastes even that much more irresistible. Honestly, the ingredients contained in most cereals on the market are not nearly as wholesome as could and should be, and this product is no exception to that rule. This food product is certainly not the healthiest possible, if consumed in an excessive, frequent manner. Nevertheless, contradictorily, I desire that General Mills offers their French Toast Crunch Cereal to contain a larger quantity per each package. I am lovin' it.....and you and your kids will, too. Yummy!!!
This cereal is one of my favourites, I can't believe how much it tastes like french toast and how well that flavour works as a cereal! Somehow they've gotten that rich buttery slightly egg-y flavour inside the tiny adorable toast-shaped pieces and the result is awesome. Great texture, nice and crunchy but still airy and softens well in milk.
This cereal is amazing! We love it so much at our house! We love French toast and this seriously tastes just as good without all the work and calories. I was astonished considering how beyond delicious it is that its not too high in calories , fat and sugar is comparable or less to your basic cereals like Cheerios etc. The flavor is so good with the right amount of cinnamon and syrup. Texture is perfect, too. The little bread shapes are so cute. I truly could eat this at every meal! Cant wait to get another box! Get this cereal you will love it!!!
