Designed to give long life and excellent finish on the top and bottom. The laser-cut anti-vibration design yields the plate acoustically dead. This reduces the sideways movement of the cutting edge to prevent chipping in man made materials such as laminates. This dramatically extends cutting life and finish. No scoring blades needed with this blade!

The finished cut isn't as nice as the finished cut from my combination Woodworker bade. I will still use it when I have a lot of ripping but it performed worse than I expects. Glue line to me means no jointing after the cut and that isn't possible. Lite jointer cuts are still needed.

I bought this blade because I have the Freud ultimate plywood blade and it cuts super clean. So I figured this glue line rip blade would produce excellent quality rip cuts that are free of saw marks. It does not. It cuts good but not great so I am a little disappointed. The plywood blade actually produces excellent cross cuts and rip cuts so I probably didn’t even need the rip blade.

An excellent blade. I have used the Glue Line Rip blade several times to rip boards and then glue them together without having to use my No. 7 plane. The glue joint is almost invisible in the oak and maple boards I have joined.

An amazing cut! After ripping on a 55 year old Craftsman radial arm saw; edge glued oak, walnut and birch, seemless no need to run through the jointer, after glue up could not see a seam.and I am an amature!highly recommend
leaves and almost perfect glue line cut. Most projects I use as is, but for precise work, a quick swipe of sanding leaves perfect glue line.
Thick Kerf for a 'true' rip. Very high quality from Freud. 2nd one I've bought due to needing one while the other is being sharpened. You will never own a better ripping blade.
Wow, this blade is excellent! I get exceptional rips, and the price is reasonable. Stays sharp for a long time, a great blade. Buy it.
Performs as promised, I used this blade to joint boards in my small shop. Unlike the big-box blades, there was no clean up needed, so I could go straight from table saw to panel glue-up!
I have ripped a number of oak pieces and found that edge quality is great. Unfortunately I was hoping for a flat bottom cut like my old, worn out Freud rip blade. I cut slots with my old rip blade, but it is beyond re-sharpening so I hoped that this one would be acceptable. It is not.
I was asked by my family to build two swinging cradles for my niece. (Yes it's twins). I was having trouble getting a good glue line on some oak boards I was putting together for the end panels. I started doing some research and decided to try the Freud LM74R Glue Line Rip Saw Blade. This blade saved the day. I was able to cut straight lines with no problem. I am not as experienced at making panels as most but with this blade, anyone can do it and in and cut down on your time with ease.
