My cats LOVE this flavor. They love Friskies Cat Food in general, but we usually have to get the seafood sensation flavor because that's the best bang for your buck, and the only flavor that comes in 30 pound bags. As someone who has a bunch of kitties and also feed the outside strays we have to opt for the biggest bag. My only gripe with Friskies Tender and Crunchy is that it only comes in 16 pound bags. I've checked Walmart and Amazon. As you can see, we will sometimes get 2 bags at a time because they absolutely go CRAZY for this flavor. Ive tried others ( only one other brand worked) . My house and feral cats stay healthy and love Friskens. Their coat, weight and eyes stay looking good. When Ive went to other cat foods the coats dull, stomache problems and something missing. The oil I feel when serving is one of the ingredients that is so important. The size and shape is easier to eat. Little to no sharp ingredients or edges. The seafood is great but I switched my ferals to the blend of Turkey and flavors. Less racoon,skunk visits. The availability and price is so important and Friskies is both great price and availability.

I have been buying this brand and type of cat food for a year now. My felines seem to really enjoy it! Now, I’m not saying it’s the best, most nutritious cat food around. It’s not, I’ve read the ingredients. However, my cats seem to enjoy it with no known negative reactions to it. Also, whenever I’ve had it delivered or pick-up order the bag has never been opened, damaged, or mouldy. All good in that area!Ultimately, you can’t complain about the price. It’s one of the cheapest on the market, especially being a “name brand.”

I have recently had the exact same experience with this brand of food that others are also reporting about this food; that it is making their cats sick after eating!We run a feral cat rescue (Meow Manner); We take in feral cats, re-domesticate them, provide all of their medical needs including shots, surgeries, vaccinations, spay, neutering, routine care and more. After we re-domesticate them and they receive a clean bill of health, we then re-home them. Between feeding times none of the cats were vomiting; but as soon as any of them had eaten, they would vomit up their food - partially undigested.We initially suspected some sort of viral outbreak in out cats, so we took a few of them along with stool samples to our Vet for medical testing. Blood tests, stool samples, and visual inspections of our cats all came back Negative for any known viral illness of any kind.We temporarily switched our cats over to a way more expensive brand of dry kibble (which is expensive because we provide all care and food for our rescue cats out of our own pocket as we do not receive donations). When switching them over to the new food, the vomiting stopped after about two days... during this time our cats didn't even get sick from switching their foods, so the sickness appeared to go away completely.We did contact Purina, and of course their natural stance was to deny any possibility of their food making cats sick; they literally stated that they have NEVER received any complaints about their dry kibble making cats sick... which I find hard to believe seeings how Google is filled with people just like me, all complaining about the same sickness befalling their cats after eating the Friskies dry food.Purina offered to send me a "sample collection bag" with a shipping label to send them a sample of the food for inspection... that was back in October or November of 2022, it is now March 2023 and I have not heard back from them. - although they did, in a sense, place blame on Chewy and advised me to purchase their food from a different source than Chewy.After a higher quality food was all used up, we did eventually switch back to the Friskies dry kibble as it is much more affordable. Seeing how we spend roughly $500 each month on rescue cats, cost is a MAJOR factor, so we did switch back to the Friskies hoping that everything was behind us, and our cats.PRESENT DAY; About 2-3 days ago our cats had started vomiting AGAIN! This time it is the exact same symptoms and actions as before. Cats eat the Friskies food, they vomit the food up, then act fine. they have no other symptoms of any kind, What-So-ever!!!!! They only vomit when they eat, and they always vomit within minutes of eating. Rinse and repeat. - and ONLY after eating the Friskies. We have NEVER, not one single solitary time in the last 4 years (probably 100 - 200 cats in that time), NEVER EVER had a cat vomit after eating any other food, OTHER THAN the Friskies!Was not going to even leave a review, that is, until after I had seen that others are leaving the EXACT same complaints and reviews about this food as we ourselves experienced. If this food is making our cats sick, and is also making other peoples cats sick AT THE SAME TIME FRAME, then it is apparent that the Friskies food is clearly contaminated with something that is making all of our cats sick.If you too have experienced this, I have notated the time frame of occurrences so that you too can see if your cats were made sick at the same time as everyone elses.... if multiple people have the same experience around the same times, then it is OBVIOUSLY a problem at Purina, and not an issue with our cats!I urge all of you whom have experienced this to also leave a review, and to PLEASE make note of the Dates this happened. Our most recent time was in February 2023, and I had noticed that someone else reported their cats were made sick on Feb 11, 2023.Though it will be very hard on us financially as we do not receive donations or help, we have made the choice to switch our cats over to a better quality food; one with less complaints online from other customers claiming the food made their cats sick too!

When I give them Purina ProPlan (what my cats eat) they get excited and eat all of it, same when I feed them the Seafood version of this. I don’t know if something in the formula has changed but they don’t seem to like it as much as they used to. Admittedly by the time they got near the end of the bag they wete eating the seafood kibble willingly also (novelty of Surfin %26 Turfin apparently worn off) and we occasionally get a 3%23 bag of other kibbles to prevent boredom. They will eat most quality cat kibble willingly for a day, but it's obvious when they get the Surfin %26 Turfin it us still somewhatvthe favorite. I still tease my daughter some times, putting the Surfin %26 Turfin in one of their bowls and something else in the other ones bowl and watch them both trying to control the Surfin %26 Turfin bowl while ignoring whatever is in the other bowl. Fortunately, they get along well with each other, and never actually fight over food (or toys). So while we may buy other flavors of Friskees, their is now always a bag of Surfin %26 Turfin in the house 🏠too.
We are very concerned as our baby used to eat this as meals for a long time, but after opening a new bag, then 3 new bags after that, he takes one sniff of it and walks away!!! Either Friskies is putting something new and bad in this food, or are hopping on board and putting insects in pet food that is disgusting!!! Please do your research on pet food and see what horrible things pet food manufacturers are putting in your fur baby's food! This terrible food is also full of dangerous cancer causing, neurological problems which can cause many health risks to your pet by adding dangerous dyes! We called Friskies manufacturers and they had the nerve to say they add dangerous dyes to their pet food so pet owners "think the food looks better and fresher"! We have bought this brand and flavor of cat food for many years, consistently. Now, I looked to order it this morning and am shocked to see the price is suddenly DOUBLE what we paid 1 1/2 months ago! And all the other Friskies flavors of the same size are still the old price of $5.24. Why is this flavor now twice the price of all the others of the same size? This has always been our cat's favorite flavor, he loves it, but we WILL NOT pay that ridiculous price hike. That's just robbery to us for walmart to charge that amount for a small bag of cat food.
