Purina Friskies Surfin' & Turfin' Favorites Dry Cat Food 3.15 lb

My cat won’t eat anything else. He’s almost 12 years old and this is all I’ve ever fed him. He is both an indoor and outdoor cat. He actually rings a bell when he wants to go out. He is as healthy and active as he was when he was 6 months old. No signs of deterioration and he goes hunting every day!! I have to believe he is as healthy as he is because of this food. And I am not being compensated in any way for this review. I just believe in this product!!!

My 1 year old kitties love this stuff. We have an automatic feeder that goes off morning, mid day snack, evening and mid night snack and they still meow for more. They had a different food before this and didn’t eat nearly as much of it. This cat food isn’t the cheapest but also doesn’t break the bank so it’s perfect for our family! Would definitely recommend as we have nothing but good things to say about it!

This dry food is good in a pinch. It's not exactly high quality, but you do get what you pay for with cheaper products. It would benefit cats to have a more nutritious diet, and having the label match the ingredients. Saying something is chicken is one thing, but when the ingredients read "various meat products" you should be concerned. That being said, I do keep a bag handy for the rare occasion that I run out of my bag of Fussy Cat but the cats definitely do not havr it as a regular in their diets. Should you buy it? Probably not but it's not going to hurt your cats to feed it to them every now and then.

Product purchased to feed neighborhood feral cats, in hopes of stopping them feeding on birds and mice and leaving them in my driveway -- apparently, our house is situated in a "killing zone", and the goal is to TNR (trap, neuter, return). At first, they didn't actually know how to eat dry food from a bowl, but their hunger guided them -- the chow has an inviting aroma. They all have gotten the hang of eating inanimate food, and they seem to be more robust than when I first encountered them. This would speak to the nutritional value of the food. They also do not realize they can drink water from the dish I've presented to them, so I am also ordering the Friskies "Extra Gravy" canned food in order to hydrate them.

He hasn't coughed up any hair balls and he's not itching and chewing all the time which means his skin is much healthier. All in all this cat food is a nice balanced diet. I can only recommend this cat food for people that know what's best for their cats. Some cats may have health needs that keep them from being able to eat it. Probably should ask their Veterinarian before trying any new food if they're worried about it. It's very reasonably priced and you can find it at almost any store.

The huge pieces my cat takes them out of her bowl and has a hard time chewing them there so hard and big. That was the dislike. PRO -SHE -can't get enough of this great taste. Will probably continue to buy it because Family Dollar sells it cheap and it's right down the road from my house. A 12 lb. bag goes less than 15.00 and lasts almost 2 months. But I’m trying to find the best nutritional food for him , and none in this list make that cut , I want to make sure what he’s eating won’t be bad in the long run because of the ingredients , I think there should be stricter regulations on cat food , they are parts of ppls families too , would you feed your family that potentially could kill them? No you wouldn’t , our normals deserve the best of the best also . I do not care for this food . Or any that were listed .

Friskies catfood makes my cat vomit!!

I have been buying the 22pd bags of surfin turfin frieskies catfood for the past 4 years for my hemilian female cat, But for the past 8 months I have actually notice her vomiting alot more! Its always the catfood she vomits up, An she is my only cat an she eats slow an a 22pd bag of catfood last her 3 months, an longer, I have tried other kinds of catfood, but alot she wont touch, She likes this brand but why is it making her so sick?? She is a healthy cat, she is only 5 years old, regular vet visits, The vet always tries to get me to buy their $40 catfood high brands, I wont pay that much ever!! It's never in stock

my daughters cat Mox prefers this cat food %26 I go online to see if it's available before I go shopping but as usual, they don't have it and its never in stock on the shelves. I have buy the friskies blue bag but it's the surfin%26 turfin I can Never find. I buy two 16lbs of each blue %26 purple. I just got home they didn't have it again. Its not the product it's the availability, I had ordered online before to pick up %26 they gave me the wrong one. I don't understand why it's not in stock .

Two cats changed from being straight tuna heads

This has become the favorite for both of the two cats living in my house. Now let me explain what I mean by that description. My oldest daughter got married last June, and when she moved out (taking her cat with her of course) she left 2/3 of a 16 pound bag of this behind, saying she didnt want to deal with so much kibble at once. Less than two months later my younger daughter informs me she needs to move back home with her TWO cats. I show the kibble but she claims "they only eat the seafood one they don't eat chocken have never had beef". Couple days later she's at work, cats are following me around and meowing all over the place so I give them some of their kibble. But when she gave them their normal stuff for there "overnight kibble" they ignored it, and oddly most of it was still in their bowls in the morning. So she gave them some of the Surfin %26 Turfin in on top of the Seafood kibble AND THEY PICKED THE SURFIN %26 TURFIN PIECES off the top, leaving most of the Seafood kibble behind. Admittedly by the time they got near the end of the bag they wete eating the seafood kibble willingly also (novelty of Surfin %26 Turfin apparently worn off) and we occasionally get a 3%23 bag of other kibbles to prevent boredom. They will eat most quality cat kibble willingly for a day, but it's obvious when they get the Surfin %26 Turfin it us still somewhatvthe favorite. I still tease my daughter some times, putting the Surfin %26 Turfin in one of their bowls and something else in the other ones bowl and watch them both trying to control the Surfin %26 Turfin bowl while ignoring whatever is in the other bowl. Fortunately, they get along well with each other, and never actually fight over food (or toys). So while we may buy other flavors of Friskees, their is now always a bag of Surfin %26 Turfin in the house 🏠 too.
