We purchased this rain suit for my daughter who was heading away to camp for two weeks and it was the best purchase we have made in a long time. Unfortunately, there was a lot of rain and it was necessary. She said it was great, kept her dry and dried quickly once she would hang it up. She is 5'8 and thin and we purchased a small. I would definitely recommend this product.

I first noticed a small tear in the knee after about 5 minutes of wearing them, then as my ankles felt wet I soon realized that the bottom of both pants legs had begun to basically shred just from walking in them. They were fit correctly and I wasn't walking on them or anything, but just the basic activity of walking as they rubbed against my boots (no metal eyelets or anything for them to rub on) was enough to tatter the hems and the material itself. After removing the junk pants I continued to wear the coat because it was still sprinkling a bit though. Quality is good enough for price. I use for occasional bike ride though not for like construction work. It zippers which is better than the snaps. Light weight and has a thin cloth lining. I bought a M/L. the sizes run big. its not like m/l clothing sizes. pant legs very wide. which is good in case its cold and you have another coat or layers on underneath rain suit. plus you wouldn't need to take shoes off to put it on in a hurry. i might just wrap a band of plastic wrap around ankles if needed. fits in a very small bag for easy take along.
Thin material! That was the first thing I noticed. I’m 5’0 tall 117lbs adult so I’m stuck wearing kids clothing. I bought this to wear on a farm for dirty muddy work. If there is any part of this that feels or looks fitted or tight on your child it will tear within the first time wearing it. First time I squatted down on the ground to pick up eggs the entire seam on the back of the pants split. If your child is not sitting or moving at all this is fine. If your child is actively bending, stooping and squatting or running this will tear. When I tried to take the pants off they tore completely around the elastic waistband. Jacket made it out ok I think, pants are completely trash after 1 wear.
Inseam ripped apart as I put these on over my jeans the first time I needed them in the rain. This happened to an older pair as well and I attributed it to the age of the fabric, so I bought a new pair but a brand new pair did the same thing. I am thin. Little stress on pants putting them on. They ripped because they are cheaply made. Buy something else or use a trash bag, it will be more usable. Do not waste your money on these. The pants are poorly constructed.
Its a good rain suit if it fits your need. It fits my need. It will keep you dry even in down pours. It has excellent wind resistance, has a zipper rather than snaps. Lightweight and easy to take with you, fits in a small stuff sack. Pant legs are very wide good for putting on over clothes and shoes. I wrap maybe a strip of plastic around ankle, rubber band, velcro and maybe below knee, (no tape will rip the suit). You have to use common sense. the material is thin and will rip be careful with it l. Ive had no issues
Lightweight, feels soft %26 flexible %26 much nicer than plastic %26 will keep you dry while WALKING ONLY!The first time I squatted down to pick up something, the crotch seam of the pants split wide open, all the way to within 4 in of the waistband in both directions despite that they were baggy enough to almost fit two of me in the pants.I'm 5 ft 2 in and weigh 110 lbs %26 the suit I bought was labeled SM/MD %26 had plenty of material to spare.The problem is that the material used is thinner than paper %26 they didn't reinforce the seams properly so it tears easily like paper (or easier) with the slightest bit of stress on the material.The stitching makes it like a perforated page, with more holes than material, making tearing apart very easy.
I recently bought this set for a camping trip, and as soon as I put it on, the seam on the side of the leg ripped. I put them on the rest of the way and went to sit down, and the seam in the crotch area ripped from front to back. I still wore the set because I had no other choice, but the pants were ruined immediately. I have had other sets in this brand, and they worked fine, but this one did not. If you do choose this set, I would recommend sizing up.
I put on a brand new suit and within half an hour I was soaked through. The seams are not sealed. Sat down on the tractor seat and my rear end got completely soaked. I am a 5'7", 135lb woman wearing a men's m/l and after getting the seat wet, the seam completely split. The jacket seams allowed the water through and when you hold it up to the light, you can see all of the pin holes in the material. I've been using these suits for years (usually purchase 4-5 per year), but the quality has consistently gone down until now it is a worthless product. Won't waste my money again.
