I purchased this to use as a descaler to clean my Breville espresso machine, and it works just as well as the descaling powder packets that were included with the machine. I like that I can use a completely food-grade product (the commercial descalers are primarily citric acid, but I don't know what other chemicals they contain.) I've also used this citric acid to clean my dishwasher and to break down mineral deposits in toilets. This is a great value for a multipurpose product.

I was really glad to find this bulk bag of food-grade citric acid from a brand I can trust. There are many household uses for it, even if you don’t do canning. I love dissolving it in water to make my own natural cleaner for kitchen and bathrooms! A little goes a long way, too. This bag should last me a long time. I just need to find a cute jar for it!

I originally bought this to make bath bombs - and it worked as I anticipated. While reading about citric acid, I learned that it makes a good cleaner. I found this to be true when I used it to clean my stainless steel kitchen sink. I was really happy with how clean and shiny scrubbing with citric acid made my sink. I would definitely purchase this again. Also, a little goes a long way when it comes to cleaning with citric acid. (Note - you should not use citric acid to clean natural stone or marble.)
I use it for bath bombs. I decided to make aroma bath bombs myself, and for this, I needed citric acid. This packaging is very convenient because it contains a lot of acid. The powder is good, dry, and without clumps. Everything turned out well; I mixed baking soda, citric acid, dried herbs, and essential oils.
I smell everything! While doing some research for deep cleaning the clothes washer, I came across something that works really well, 1 part citric acid 1 part oxygen cleaner, like OxyClean, fill the machine with hot water, dissolve these powders and let it soak over night. Use a hose from the laundry tub to fill a few more inches to the top. To stop the cycle, either hit pause, open the top lid, or unplug it. Run wash cycle after soaking. Fresh and clean again! “This is not medical advice” LOL
I added a very tiny amount to my homemade clay mix for facial mask. So far so good. I also added it in water to soak and clean soiled cushions, mats etc. Somehow it seem to remove the odour very effectively. One packet lasted me for a very long time
I started using citric acid in my dishwasher due to our well having hard water. Cleans my dishes really well and doesn't leave any water spots. I also use it in place of rinse aids in my dishwasher. This buildup may make your washing machine less energy efficient, and may even lead to a broken unit. To clean your washing machine of this residue, you can add citric acid to an empty wash cycle. The citric acid will dissolve stuck-on mineral deposits, dirt and soap scum. 1/2 Cup or less should be sufficient.
This citric acid is non-irradiated and can be used for cooking, cleaning and also storing cut up fruit while preventing the typical browning. It can be a preservative as well. So many uses and it’s natural which is my preference! This citric acid is obtained from a non-GMO corn source. I trust Frontier Co-op products, I’ve been using them for years!
This purchase was made after reading about its magical properties from Michelle Albanes-Davis (formerly of Bad Manners). We see it on a bazillion ingredient lists, know it as an antioxidant, and it's a big reason why Sour Patch Kids taste so fabulous. But someone in this group mentioned that their friend added it to seltzer, and from the OMG responses, I had to try. They were not being weird: OMG
