That camera is excellent. I use it all the time. This camera is quite good; it can take both RAW and JPG pictures. As soon as the image is taken, the colors are breathtaking. The camera is a terrific friend when your phone isn't good enough to capture images on travels or at social events. This camera may be utilized in most performance scenarios because it's small and seen as unprofessional. You can take up to 300 shots per charge so it may last a full day.If you don't want to pay the premium for the X100v or X100vi, save your money and purchase this camera instead. I definitely recommend it.

This rental service was incredible & I'd highly recommend! I have been eyeing this camera for a while but couldn't afford to buy it for my upcoming 3 week europe trip & renting it worked perfectly. The camera took incredible photos but was small & light weight to carry around. It arrived 4 days early from lens rental at no charge to me & they supply everything you need to mail it back! A case, a box, the packing label, and literally even a piece of tape to tape the box up. They even give you a chance to purchase the camera at a discounted rate if you wanted to! I'll def be renting from them again!

Having had this camera for a bit of time, my comments will repeat what many others have said. Bottom line up front, if this X100 line of cameras from Fuji appeals to you, then you've got the bug and love can follow with ownership. And for the current discounted price (as of 12/2020) its a great deal. That said, the new "V" model improves on the "F" model in a number of really significant ways, especially the quality of the lens, and the added usability that comes with the tilting and touch-sensitive rear LCD. If you can handle the cost of the newer model, to me it is the better camera of the two, and in many ways. For others who are new to the X100 series and on the fence, consider the following - First, you've got to be comfortable working with the 35mm equivalent ... MoreHaving had this camera for a bit of time, my comments will repeat what many others have said. For others who are new to the X100 series and on the fence, consider the following - First, you've got to be comfortable working with the 35mm equivalent fixed lens. Second, the menus and adjusting the settings have a number of quirky complexities that can make for frustration. Third, if you work with RAW files, you'll need to process those differently than those from other brands of cameras. Fourth, the ergonomics of this camera are NOT good. The simulated 'leather' covering is slippery; it desperately needs a better grip or an after-market thumb rest; and some of the buttons are small and not so easy to use. All this said, i've been smitten by this line cameras since the very first model and am buying one of the new "V" models. The lack of an anti-aliasing filter over the sensor produces very sharp resolution and their dynamic range is good for APSC-sized sensor cameras. Plus, their film simulations and the more portable 'take-with-you' size add to a fun factor and encourage one to experiment, which encourages us along with our growth as photographers.

Fuji X100F as an everyday, everywhere camera!
14 December 2021

I seldom buy the latest & greatest anymore, for me the prior model of nearly everything is usually sufficient for my needs. I am a retired professional who still enjoys the craft but lack the motivation to schlep my full frame DSLRs with me, everywhere. Hence the desire for a fixed lens (35mm PoV) camera of substantially less weight and bulk became a priority. This led me to the Fuji (Fufifilm) X100 series of which the X100V is the current model and the X100F is the latest prior version. Thus I now have a pristine, now shutter count, X100F, I'm very happy to report it is easily sufficient as my desire for a lightweight, go with me everywhere, camera. It is very discreet and seldom even noticed. I prefer to talk on my phone, it is not, for me, a camera. Great Camera, Just Not Living Up To Its Fullest Potential
13 September 2021

I agree with everything good that has been said about this camera. It's a beautiful work of art, fun to shoot with, captures great images, and had the potential to be one of the best cameras I've owned. Unfortunately there are some serious reliabilities issues and it's definitely not living up to it's fullest potential.I've had the camera for about 8 months and this will be my second time having to send it back to repair the same issue. Just Google: X100F viewfinder issues stuck curtain. Luckily it's still under warranty, but what happens after that? Fuji accidentally sent me a bill for the first repair before I had to correct them about it still being under warranty. That's 1/2 the price of the camera.Again I love this camera, there's nothing else that I enjoy shooting with more and it's beautiful AF!!!. Just not sold on Fuji's reliability after these experiences. It has actually turned me off from the brand in general and that's unfortunate. No more looking at XPros and XTs for me. Get it together Fuji :(

Great camera with some work-arounds.
1 May 2019

Great camera. I had the X100S and mistakenly sold it, a while back. Love the Fuji color and subject definition. Having used the X100F for a couple of weeks now here are some of my observations. 1. Great portability. However, adding the JJC lens hood (I added the hood and a B+W UV filter) and this makes quite a difference in the size of the camera. I also purchased a Crumpler 3 million dollar home bag and the camera is a very tight fit w/lens hood on. You will need a larger bag, in MHO. 2. Image quality is superb, you just need to be mindful that there is no stabilization. 3. No weather sealing is a miss by Fuji for sure. 4. I added a Lensmate thumb grip. I researched many thumb grips and the Lensmate, while more expensive, allows it to be folded during use so you have access to the AEL/FL button. An absolutely essential addition to camera control. 5. Additionally, I purchased a soft shutter button from Lensmate as well and again this piece is very important for my control and ease of use. 6. Not for sports photography! All 10 of my grandkids play sports and I use my Olympus OM D M-5Mk2 for their sports photos. 7. Cropping pictures in general seems to be viable for enlarging subjects w/o much if any degradation in photo. 8.Use of the EVF in bright sun light can be difficult as your eye placement on the finder is easily washed out by son and reflection and the EVF display goes away. Simply need to be aware. problem. 9. Picture film options are numerous and excellent. 10. Not a fan of plastic battery/SD covers but, oh well. 11. Customization options is excellent. 12. Appears to be solidly well built and is substantial. As I am now in my 70's I (like many others) wanted a good travel camera with excellent IQ. Sorry for the length of this review and hope it helps. Cheers!

Ive fallen in love with this camera
22 December 2018

Firstly it handles the light beautifully! Far exceeds what my 6 year old DSLR can produce. Ive found the manual setting really easy to adjust quickly, even flicking in and out of menus. Until now but the weight of my DSLR means that I dont make it out as often as Id like and regularly just snap on my mobile phone. The Fuji is that much lighter and more compact that Im finding myself taking it out when I wouldnt have done with my DSLR; I can comfortably carry this around for a whole day without feeling like I have to cut down whatever else I have in my bag. I wondered if I would feel restricted by the fixed lens but if anything its pushed me to think more carefully about the position I shoot from. The occasions Ive wished I had a interchangeable or zoom lens have been outweighed by the practicality if the weight/size. The options with the view finder are helpful for accuracy framing close ups. The shutter is so quiet its easy to miss, so combined with the screen its perfect for unobtrusive street photography. The film simulation and built in filters are helpful and great fun, and when you shoot in raw you still get the option of the original image without any cropping/styling. Its fairly user friendly and you can set button functions to suit your preference. Glad it camewith a second battery as its needed if you are going to be shooting for a whole day, particularly if you are using the screen a lot. Overall - super happy with this camera. Worth every penny!

Review of X100F High Performance Compact Camera - Silver
20 January 2020

Good Points: I have been getting increasingly fed up with the mediocre snaps taken on the camera on my mobile phone and wanted better results. I did not want a cumbersome DSLR, I wanted a compact camera, and one that had "knob per function" controls so that I could understand the relationship between f-number, shutter speed, etc., by being able to easily make adjustments without having to fiddle around in a jungle of menus like you have to do on all other compact cameras. The X100F is all of these things plus takes stunning photos. The fab retro styling is just a mega bonus.I was slightly worried about the camera having a prime lens and no zoom, but this has turned out not to be a problem at all. The fab retro styling is just a mega bonus.I was slightly worried about the camera having a prime lens and no zoom, but this has turned out not to be a problem at all. I don't pretend to be an expert, but I understand the prime lens means fewer compromises in the optics and better photos, and the results (as mentioned earlier) are definitely very good. If I want to zoom in I just walk closer to the subject. Besides, landscapes are what I like capturing best and you don't need a zoom for that. There is a digital zoom of two fixed settings (which was a nice surprise as I hadn't picked that up in my pre-purchase research). The resolution of the sensor is so very high that the degradation in the image quality is almost imperceptible. I have also since discovered that there are screw on lens adaptors, one telephoto and one wide, but they are rather dear - I am not allowed to mention the price of them apparently on Revoo and was asked to delete the prices - but to give you an idea each additional lens is approx 1/5th of the the cost of the camera. I haven’t invested in them as (so far) I don’t think they are necessary. There was a special offer of a free Fujifilm leather case when you registered the product warranty with Fujifilm. That has arrived and I have to say that too is a delight.Improvement Points: There is no macro functionality (I think this is a function of the prime lens – but as said before I am not an expert) so you cannot take photos of anything closer than about a foot. One tiny niggle, I wish the lens cap had some kind if retaining strap as I will lose it at some point (I haven’t yet but I will do). The price for the camera is high, but you can see why when you hold it as the build quality is exceptional. I was given a present of a very generous voucher and without that I am not sure I could have afforded it.

Not going to replace a dslr for sport photography but not really what it's for. Again, just impressions after a few days but definitely not an extensive review. This is a powerful little camera and may be perfect for most users. The strengths are really apparent but it's few shortcomings may make it too limiting for other particular users

X100F Review
29 January 2022

I wish I had bought this camera sooner. I have really enjoyed it so far. I love how compact and lightweight it is. Fits in most my pockets. Even though this is their best X100 series sensor on the same lens that was on the first X100, sharpness hasnt really been an issue for me (x100V has the newest lens). Low light performance is really good as well. So far the only issue I have is that I like to use the as-is film recipes that come with the camera (particularly the B&W ones). But I also have enjoyed using custom ones other people make (i.e. I have a Ultramax 400 simulation). The downside is, if you use all 7 custom slots, you cant access the base presets unless you do it by manually setting all the settings to 0. Its a huge inconvenience. Essentially you get 6 custom slots instead of 7. I did just use it in moderate snowfall and it didnt have issue with the lack of weather proofing, so it can at least withstand some exposure to moisture. And if I were to nitpick it, having either an aftermarket thumb grip for the hot shoe/a neck or wrist strap is essential. Holding the camera in hand for long durations is not super ergonomic.
