Fujifilm Instax Mini 99 Instant Film Camera

Product so far is exactly what i expected. 😍 im in love all the more. Seller was amazing! I was worried it wont get here for my trip but it arrived even earlier despite the logistics and me panicking they weren’t fazed. Came with 20 free plain film and cord. Just when i thought it needed batteries, its more convenient that it just needs to be charged to work. Glad i chose this shop out of all the ones i researched. The Fujifilm Instax camera offers excellent image quality, capturing vibrant and sharp photos. Its sturdy build quality ensures durability and reliability, making it a long-lasting investment. This is a great camera for those looking to get into film photography! I have experience with both film and digital photography, and this camera is very easy to use, produces good quality photos, and has lots of fun options! It has zoom, color, and brightness setting which help with taking photos at different distances and in different lighting situations. I think it’s a reasonably priced product, but the real expense is the film packs. The film packs will add up over time and surpass the value of the camera, so be aware of that.

This is the coolest instant camera. It features 6 different color features, and it's own vignette mode as well. The camera itself is very nice quality, and feels amazing. It's soft to the touch and light weight. The battery life is amazing as well, and it comes with a rechargeable battery and charger. This will be a game changer for instant camera lovers! Includes a shoulder strap, and tripod mount.

645 Medium Format photography at an Unbeatable Price

Fujifilm does not currently offer a Square- or Wide-format Instax camera that can have the flash turned off; MiNT offers such cameras for two, three, or four times the price of this-or you can look into Lomography's offerings, which sometimes have worrying reviews.-> photos that can't have the reality edited out of them with AI and digital airbrush.-> photos you can give to people (such as their portrait) on the spot, without needing to get their email address to send an image file or wait a week to get a roll of film developed and printed.-> photo prints of loved one(s) that you can stick in a wallet within a couple minutes of it coming out of the camera.A few other observations:-> I've heard about issues with the SQ6 and other such Instax cameras that can have the lens extension motors fail or jam; this has a mechanical system that extends the lens to a given focus distance when the outer ring is twisted, and in my experience it feels smooth and reliable. It appears to be the same lens system as used on the 1st-gen Leica SOFORT. Also: if you rotate the lens to a point between any of the four positions (3 focus ranges and OFF), the red self-timer light will start flashing until you seat it into a position (you will feel the detente).-> the Color Effect and Exposure Comp dials on the top plate have weak detentes, and will easily turn to another position by being bumped or rubbed against anything. They feel solid enough otherwise; this obviously isn't X-T5-level construction but it doesn't remotely feel like it will fall apart within the year. Obviously, one should not treat this like a war photographer's Leica M-series camera.-> this uses a rechargeable battery, and the charger is included; I've shot at least a whole 10-pack of film in the last couple months (I'm picky with what I shoot with it, but I turn the unit on plenty frequently just bc) and it is still full after the first charge. No weak sauce here.If you're thinking of getting an Instax camera and want more than Aim-&-Press-Shutter-Button levels of control, get this one. I think you'll like it.

Awesome little film camera!

Arrived safely. Takes splendid sharp photos if you are able to keep your camera steady and utilize the correct focus. Fun and easy to pick up. Has 4 additional settings for exposure (D-, D, Normal, L, L ) and 6 additional settings for real filter colors. You can see my use of the Magenta and Green filters in the attached photos. The filters are really quite fun. There is a timer setting, sports and indoor modes, long exposure bulb (one setting), as well as a fun double exposure setting. You can turn off the flash before you take a photo if you like. There are 3 focus modes, at closest focus a little more than 6inches.Recommend this camera for the amount of fun settings and the control you have over varied lighting settings! Compact and perfect for adventures.The set comes with a thin neck strap instead that I personally got a case instead of using (also did not realize it would come with a neck strap), and there is no wrist strap like expected with the other pastel colored Instax series. It does come with this little additional grip that can be screwed into the tripod area for you to hold and steady the camera when holding up, as well as the battery, battery charger, and short cord. It does not come with a case, which can be purchased separately.

Love at first sight.

I had the Instax Mini 40 before this and WOW. What an upgrade. Love how there is so much more control over the exposure and focus. Pictures come out waaay much clearer. Don't be intimidated with all the dials and exposure settings. This thing is definitely worth it if you want an upgrade from the entry level ones like the mini 11 and 40. And for seasoned photographers you will love this one at first sight. Just the feel, the touch, the control you have. Especially if you still want something analogue compared to the Mini Evo. This thing is just a ball of fun. You will not regret it.Although I didn't care much for the filters. I've only tried the light leak. It turned out pretty cool. More bad than good

THE GOOD: Features and controls. This camera really lets you control the way your photo looks with features like exposure compensation, vignetting, and creative looks with the light leaks and color cast settings. I haven't explored the light leaks and color cast settings too much but the couple of shots I did with the light leaks looked cool for certain subject matter. I also like the fact there there are three focus settings instead of two. Lastly, I like the look of the camera overall. By that I mean I like that it doesn't look like a pastel colored bubbly kids toy like so many Instax cameras.THE BAD: The ergonomics. It's just an extremely awkward camera to hold with no grip. Button placement of the front shutter button is annoying. I'm always afraid I'm going to accidentally fire off a shot just trying to find a comfortable way to hold it. The shutter buttons are also too easily hit. It's a tiny little click that takes almost no effort at all to fire so be careful. The viewfinder is useless for up close shots (1-10 feet). I lined up my subject in the center using the circle in the viewfinder for my first shot on this and it ended up being off center in the photo. I didn't think the parallax error would be that bad but it was. And finally, I don't like how I have to take the battery out to charge it. There's absolutely no good reason why, in 2024, we're still charging batteries for these types of cameras externally instead of including a USB-C charging port. Now I travel with this camera, I have to bring along the wall brick. It's just completely unnecessary.Overall this camera is just okay. Using an instant camera should be a fun experience and I just don't have that much fun using this one. As versatile as they made this camera with features and controls, it seems to be overshadowed by its poor ergonomics and lack of viewfinder accuracy. I don't feel like designing an instant camera that is comfortable to hold is really that difficult. I wish Fuji spent a little more time designing this.

New and improved!

This product was sent to me complimentary of Influenster! When first receiving, I noticed this camera is slim, sheek and very much an upgrade from the popular model! It came with a camera strap and definitely has a vintage feel to it when holding it or looking at the lense! The different print features are so unique. It’s like taking a Live Photo with a filter but on a classic method of a camera! I will be taking this every where I go now!

SO aesthetically pleasing!

I have been a collector of many instax cameras for over 10 years and so I am very thrilled to have received this one! I immediately jumped to use the colour effects on my photos since its a new feature in the instax lineup and one I have found myself enjoying just too much. The LCD display shows various modes and is similar to another camera I own and adore, the mini 90! In fact as I look at more of its features, the mini 99 shares a lot of similarities to the mini 90 and is just as lightweight with or without the included strap.
