FUJIFILM - Instax Mini Film Rainbow

I like the idea of have fun borders on the film. It doesn’t add anything to the film itself it just makes the picture look more fun. They work exactly the same as the other film they are just fancier! The packaging is the same as the original, same as price and durability, no difference at all! So don’t worry about sacrifice for a little bit of color in the outside edges!

Good picture quality. Easy to use with camera. This rainbow film has colors along the border of the pictures instead of the traditional white border. My only issue with the rainbow film is that you don’t know what color the border is going to be until after you take the picture and it comes out. I used this film for a classroom project and the kids liked being surprised with what border color they received, so it didn’t seem to be an issue there.

Fun and worked well

I always avoided the various instant film varieties with colored borders, but this came free bundled with a Instax Mini 90 Neo Classic camera. The film itself is the standard color Instax film. Each shot will have a border that is colored a brightly, with some having a gradient between two shades or colors. Despite my initial reluctance, I actually really liked the results. The colors are bright and add something to shots that might otherwise be a bit dull. Or, at the least, add a little irony. I recommend these for shots of people, not objects, since you won't know what color the border will be. I think it'd be interesting for Fuji to make some of the different border color packs using the black and white monochrome film. Great way to add some color to a teen's bedroom

These colorful border film sheets are very cute for a teen's bedroom or college student's dorm room. I wish I had this when I was younger! I didn't look closely enough and thought the rainbow sheets would have a holographic/rainbow coloring on each film, but it's more of a non-shiny gradient rainbow. The rainbow is seen when all the slides are viewed together. One slide might have red with a little orange, the next might have an orange border with a little yellow, etc. You'll want to have a plan for how and what you want to display before you start taking pictures. Luckily, you'll be able to get an idea of what the next picture's border will look like based on the previous picture. I was disappointed that each package only came with 10 sheets. I wish it came with more, as they go quickly in a digital camera age. They end up being $0.70-$0.80 a piece. I haven't used all of them, though, to see if any show up blank. So far I'm loving these colorful frames as a nice change from the solid white ones!

Half We’re Defective

I was so excited to purchase these colorful prints, but unfortunately half of them were defective and printed blank. I canned the store to see if they could do anything for me even if I brought proof and they were not able to help me in any kind of way. Will not be buying instead mini film products anymore. Wasted money.

Instant film—Instant fun!

My daughter and I bought my granddaughter an instant camera, extra film, case and a photo album. She turned 10 and really wanted a camera. Bought everything at Walmart and she has loved taking the pics!

Overall great for kids!

The Instax is such a nostalgic, fun idea. The photos aren’t of perfect high quality which I expected honestly. My kids are 5 and 7 and love them so much! My only complaint is that the film is so expensive, I wish more film would come in each package. With kids- 10 photos are gone in no time! Because if that, my rating for the value isn’t the best, however, I’m still happy with this purchase for my children.

Superb!

I have been shooting Fuji Instax images regularly for a few years now and have tried several different styles. After shooting many hundreds of the rainbow border images, white border images seem quite boring to me these days. I find I loathe using the basic white packs now because they lack the punch of the color packs. Interestingly, there is often a pleasing harmony that occurs by chance with the subject and the photo edge color even though I usually can't predict what color will come up next so I'm not planning the final look. I just wish Fuji would stop making all the silly cartoon packs and add a simple matte black border pack to their offerings. And why is there no B&W Instax like we see with Polaroid/Impossible? The only bad thing is the price. I think each package costs a lot and that's why there are fewer people using these cameras. They are obviously famous but many people always want to use them but buying these packages is not easy. But I like it.

Great quality and color. Frame colors are good design and quality - Really helps the overall look, depth and quality of the photo taken when compared to basic white background. Recommend for keepsakes for you or family/friends. Price is a little much though for only 10 photos.
