good set of film, favorable price. Compliance of price and quality. I liked the colors, the sun is super. There is a small defect in the photo, but this is due to my old Olympus mju2 camera. In general, I'm satisfied)

This film is great! It's not Fujifilm Superia but instead the new Fujifilm 400 formula that still gives off great colors especially for darker skin tones. Recently shot a roll with it at a wedding and loved the results. Will continue shooting with this film in the future!

I have been using Fuji film for over 20 years and the picture quality is superb. The latitude in exposure range and superior color make it good for everyday and for the photos that will be in your portfolio. I like the ASA 400 for being able to use it in low light and it the bright sunlight. Very consistent in exposures over the range. Works well with on-camera flash as well. With proper processing and printing it will provide excellent results, if the photographer cooperates on his or her end. I also enjoyed being able to purchase the 3-pack for 1990s prices. Film seems to be an afterthought, with the digital cameras and it is hard to find the film you like and want to use. I am glad B&H still caters to the photographers who love the beauty and versatility of film. ... MoreI have been using Fuji film for over 20 years and the picture quality is superb. $10 a roll is nice in this market these days. The 400 speed is pretty versatile and retains a lot of detail even when over exposed. You will find a heavier grain in underexposed situations but overall I enjoy this film stock. It leans to a cooler blue/green side overall but that’s just my observations this far.
Easily one of my favorite films. I can get decent results in most lighting conditions. The predominant colors are well known at this point and if it suits your taste then this is a great choice, especially in a 3 pack.
As of June 2023, Fujifilm 400 is being manufactured by Kodak. The box says "Made in USA" and the plastic film canisters are the classic Kodak style with grey lid. As far as I can tell, it's the same film emulsion as Kodak UltraMax 400. In my opinion, this is a good thing: UltraMax 400 has more shadow detail and doesn't have the green-tinted shadows that Superia 400 always had, which made blacks and dark greys look green. However, if you liked the color palette of Superia 400, this is something to be aware of. On the plus side, if you're a fan of UltraMax 400, the Fuji-branded version is a way to get it at a better price.
THIS IS NOT SUPERIA 400! This is fuji's new co-branded film made my kodak. It shoots like kodak ultra max 400 and has similar spectral sensitivity curves. I'm not going to return it because film is film and I can store it in the freezer for decades and who knows if film will be around then.
ANALOG PHOTOGRAPHERS BEWARE, as of May 2023, this product may NOT actually be Superia, even though that's what the Walmart website is showing right now. I bought some online today, did store pickup , and after I got home I noticed the box was very slightly different, and it did not say Xtra or Superia anywhere on it, or on the roll. Just Fujifilm 400.I did a little digging online, and it turns out that Fujifilm has likely discontinued Superia, and has rolled out this "new" stock of film with a VERY similar box and design. The box says it is made in USA, whereas Fujifilm is made in Japan. I think this stock of film was literally just released in the last few days, so there is little information about it right now, and I haven't shot any of it yet, but word on the ... MoreANALOG PHOTOGRAPHERS BEWARE, as of May 2023, this product may NOT actually be Superia, even though that's what the Walmart website is showing right now. Still a good deal, but just beware that this might actually have a different color profile than Superia.
Walmart hasn't updated this listing yet with the correct details. Fujifilm discontinued Superia X-TRA 400 in America this year. This film is simply Fujifilm 400 which is highly rumored to be a rebranded Kodak film stock. The film is still great and offers a great value for film. Most other color films you can easily expect to pay over $15 per roll. If you're on a budget but still desire color film, look no further than this.
I love exploring the world of film stocks, but I always come back to Fuji’s Superia 400. It’s so, so, so good rivaling the professional films, so flexible for shooting conditions, has a fine grain, and the coloring is wonderful. Punchy reds, and captures blue skies and water beautifully. It’s also significantly more accessible than Kodak’s offerings providing much more bang for your buck. Thank you Walmart for the low price and for carrying it in store! I always stop by and pick it up before an adventure, as film has disappeared from every other store.
