The Lens are dedicated wide conversion lens that multiples the fixed focal length by approx. 0.8x, converting it to 28mm (35mm format equivalent). Not only does this lens emphasize perspective, it's also perfect for when you want to capture a broader view such as when shooting in tight spots or landscapes. When the lens are mounted on the Fujifilm X100F, the camera automatically recognizes the conversion lens and corrects aberrations.

A Fantastic Add-On for your X100 Fixed Lens Camera

While it is, on paper, there is a small difference between 19 and 23MM, it’s a decisive difference. The lens works seamlessly with the camera’s sensor and electronics. As someone who takes a lot of landscapes (yes, with the X100F), the extra wideness makes a BIG difference that simply cannot be accommodated by cropping a 23 MM image. I am kind of a Wide Angle guy and this Wide Conversion lens makes a huge difference in what I do. Only problem is that it adds a significant length to the lens, making the X100F less of a pocket camera. So far I haven't found that annoying - the increased utility has been worth it. Very sharp - just like the standard lens. One quirk I haven't figured out and may just be that way - there are no framing lines in the viewfinder with the wide angle - essentially everything you can see in the viewfinder is in the image. But it works well. Not cheap but glad I bought it - probably will never come off the camera now that I have it.

Fujifilm Quality & Added Flexibility
16 January 2023

The 19mm Fujifilm WCL-X100 II provides the coveted 28mm equivalent focal length, while maintaining the beautiful sharpness of the 23mm f2.0 on the X100V. The difference between 23 and 19 millimeters may seem minuscule, but it equates to roughly 20% more viewing area. It's truly a game changer for X100V users. I have been very pleased with the image quality I'm seeing through the WCL. I have heard complaints that it makes a pocketable camera no longer pocketable, but I personally find this to be a moot point. I am only 5' 9" and about 165lbs with an athetic build, and no clothing of mine, not even the baggiest of jackets, comfortably accommodates the X100V in standard form. I have always carried my X100V in my Domke F-5XA for daily carry, and it works very well. I am only 5' 9" and about 165lbs with an athetic build, and no clothing of mine, not even the baggiest of jackets, comfortably accommodates the X100V in standard form. I have always carried my X100V in my Domke F-5XA for daily carry, and it works very well. With the added bulk of the WCL, it's a bit of a tighter fit inside, but with minor adjustments of the interior dividers, it's a non-issue.As for the 28mm equivalent focal length, just know that it really requires much closer interaction with subjects when compared to the 30mm equivalent focal length of the X100V's 23mm f2.0. For me personally, this has really only been impactful in street photography settings. It's requires me to be more evident to subjects, and one might argue that alters the setting a bit. If anything, it's pushed me to want to interact with people more, and that has personally been beneficial for me.As for quality, fit, and finish, as with all Fujifilm products I have used, the WCL-X100 II is among the finest of quality photography tools. If I must be extremely nit-picky, it seems to me that the silver finish may be ever so slightly different in tone and texture than the body of the X100V. It is hardly, if at all, noticeable to anyone that isn't looking for a difference. I believe it's because the finish of the X100F, during the time of which this conversion lens was developed, was slightly different to that of the X100V. All in all, this was $350 well spent! Bravo Fujifilm!

Glad I caved in and bought it.
23 September 2024

I bought my x100 vi as a walk around, light camera. I was tired of carrying my heavy Nikon zoom lens combo . Street photography is my thing I love taking pics of people , murals and street life. 35 mm sometimes is just not wide enough. Was buying another lens defeating the whole purpose of buying the x100?? Definitely not, the lens is tiny fits just fine in my pocket, is very light and really does not weigh the camera down at all. The x100vi does not fit an any normal pocket with or without the extra lens anyway. Finally the pictures are great, just as sharp as the built in lens. I would defiantly recommend adding this lens to your set up, the extra few dollars that you spend on this are well worth it.

Great 50mm Equivalent Lens
9 November 2022

I shot with a 50mm f/2 lens back in the film days, so I've always been comfortable with the framing of that focal length. I just recently picked up the TCL-X100II, and I shot some images at the OPTIC West conference in Monterey. If you like a 50mm focal length, don't hesitate. It is sharp, and fast. With the TCL attached, the size of the camera/lens combination changes, and for some, it may be too big. For me, the X100V with both the WCL and the TCL lenses is a very small system to carry around, and the image quality is great.

Really nice accessory
11 November 2020

The 28mm conversion lens is really nice to use. I still found that the inconvenience of the attachment method meant that when I put the lens on, I kept it on all day, but at least it was a comfortable size to use. Its slightly less portable with the longer lens protrusion, but its not nearly as restrictive as the 50mm one. For me, I still prefer to shoot with the naked camera and its 35mm equivalent lens, but if youre someone that really loves the 28mm field of view then I think youll be happy with this one. By the numbers, 35mm to 28mm doesnt seem like all that much, but it does make significant compositional changes when youre working with landscapes, which is the scenario I would most recommend for that setup

WCL-X100 II is a great add-on
18 July 2021

The WCL-X100 II Wide Angle Conversion Lens now lives on my X100V and gives just that little extra wide angle when I need it. I also keep a CPL filter on bcs I shoot a lot outdoors. While the WCL adds a little length to the lens, it is worth it.Since the Fuji update allowing ND use with video, plus allowing digital telephoto when shooting raw jpeg, the camera is useful in so many more situations. Now with the digital teleconverter I can quickly change between the wider view OR the original view OR the telephoto view and the image quality remains good...normally I avoid digital zoom, but Fuji handled this one well.So get the WCL-X100 II and enjoy...you won't regret it. Oh...the black lens goes perfectly with the black X100V body.

Wide angle for the X100 Series, Great Image Quality
8 July 2020

This really does give you a wider ~28mm equivalent FOV with no (noticeable) impact on image quality. It's easy to use and has the built-in magnets to change the X100 cameras settings automatically. The Mark I version requires a setting change in the menus each time you add or remove the WCL. It doesn't do it automatically. It does need to be threaded on so it's not quite as easy as changing lenses and it does add to the lens length. Those are about the only negatives I see with the WCL. It uses the same filter thread, so filters and lens caps can be used on the WCL.

You need this lens on your X100V!
28 January 2021

I recently installed the WCL-X100 II on my X100V and have loved the resulting photographs. This lens provides a bit wider, 28mm equivalent, field of view which, for me, shooting street and landscapes, makes all the difference. Previously I used the WCL-X70 adapter and I find the WCL-X100 II is better. Physically smaller and better balanced on the camera. It retains f/2 and the photos are sharp. And the camera automatically IDs the lens and makes the appropriate internal adjustments. I strongly suspect the WCL-X100 II will remain attached permanently to my X100V.
