Awesome and useable film simulations for photo and video along with FLOG2.AF and tracking is good but not great like what Sony and Canon offer but with the latest firmware (v5.0) and newer Liner Motor lenses from Fuji things have improved immensely in my opinion and I've been very happy.IBIS is OK and this is where the camera suffers the most in my opinion and the main reason I took a star off the rating. It tends to be a bit too jerky in video when panning. Hopefully this could be improved with a firmware update or with the next iteration of this model.Photo quality has been great for wildlife and birds. No complaints there. Maybe look to photo centric review below for more in-depth feedback about photo performance.

The video quality I have been getting out of the various modes has been astonishing and even rivals my full frame bodies.There are so many things to say great about this camera but for sake of time I will sum it all up with the fact that since purchasing the X-H2, I have fallen back in love with photography and have been enjoying every moment this camera is in my hands.

I LOVE the look of 80's films, and this gives it when done properly, the look of night filming (when lit properly and film recipes and settings are correct) is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Very little color grading needed in post. I spent a lot of time color grading the Canon c500 Log footage, it looked amazing ultimately, but this camera saves so much time and there is something inherent about the quality of the image that I have not seen in other cameras. I have used the Canon c500 Mark ll (as I said) , RED cameras, Sony a7slll, all GREAT cameras without a doubt, but none touch this one. The folks at Fujifilm are geniuses. For the longest time I was going to get. a Z cam, but I didnt like the fact they had a Sony sensor, nothing wrong with a Sony sensor, I just like the fact Fujifilm has their own and their own science behind it. Having said all this you still have to know what. you're doing with this camera, composition, movement, lighting. We also use Vintage Lenses with it. What else can I say.. you WILL have some slight workarounds ergonomically if you are used to fully decked out cinema cameras... But all doable, and for the savings in money, well worth it. I also use a Metabones speed booster with it and it works great. When I researched this thing, I am so glad I didnt listen to the industry people who snub their noses at mirrorless.. I will compare well shot footage with this thing to ANY cinema camera on the market... Kudos as well to BH for great service...well packaged, and answering questions....

I was unhappy when trying to take photos of my cats when using X-S10 because they moved so fast and the focus cannot always make it, however with X-H2 I feel much better with fast-shooting. X-H2 is newly functioned to detect cats/motorbikes/cars, etc and focus on them continuously. When I turn on this function, I hardly lose focus on my cats and other moving objective and it can give a very nice picture of them.I also liked the feeling when I take photo for my girlfriend with X-H2. When I use Sigma 56mm f1.4 lense, the color by the newly-added nostalgic negative simulation was really beautiful, and very suitable for autumn season. My girlfriend loves her photos by X-H2, too.I would not say too much about X-H2, but overall I don’t regret to upgrade from X-S10 to X-H2. If you have a proper budget and you don’t mind it is an APSC-camera, X-H2 would be a great option for you to consider.

Which one do I reach for? 10 percent of the time it's Canon (and that's for agency jobs where people are snobs about expensive looking systems to justify their investment, or sometimes for situations where I will absolutely not get a second chance, like weddings for other people who prefer nailing it over personality.) 90 percent of the time it's Fujifilm. If I could only shoot the things that I want to shoot, it would be Fujifilm 100 percent of the time.

And this camera shoots 4K open gate, which is more than sufficient for most clients work I do.One thing that I was a little disappointed was that 1/240 seconds slow motion 4K isn't that great of quality. I see noises and I wish this was better, but I don't use it for my professional work so well, nothing is perfect really.This camera can do anything really, in my opinion. Now I love this camera so much, I am thinking of leaving the X-T cameras, it confuses me with totally different dial settings to go back and forth on job sites. I think either X-S20 or X-H2 will be a great companion camera for this.
Switching from Nikon D850 and Z5 to this. The D850 is still a good camera for the studio. Have lots of lenses to use still. Bought the adapter to use my Nikon lenses on the Fuji and they work great. AFS lenses are necessary unless you want to focus manually.The quality from the camera is amazing. I don't have any Fuji Lenses yet but will eventually start with the 8-16. You apparently have to make sure your lenses can support the resolution of the sensor. My Sigma Art lenses do great with the adapter. Very sharp.Yes the menus take some getting used to but that will come with time.The focus is quick, the camera quite and the film simulations amazing.I was going to get the xt5 but ended up with this. Bought the adapter to use my Nikon lenses on the Fuji and they work great. AFS lenses are necessary unless you want to focus manually.The quality from the camera is amazing. I don't have any Fuji Lenses yet but will eventually start with the 8-16. You apparently have to make sure your lenses can support the resolution of the sensor. My Sigma Art lenses do great with the adapter. Very sharp.Yes the menus take some getting used to but that will come with time.The focus is quick, the camera quite and the film simulations amazing.I was going to get the xt5 but ended up with this. Very glad I did. Amazing viewfinder and feel in the hand. Nicely balance camera.I purchased mine used from B&H and was not disappointed in anyway.

Again, very little background when it comes to cameras, but I'm extremely happy with this body and brand.

But what I am gaining is a super fast sensor with negligible rolling shutter, F-Log2 gamma for 14 stops of dynamic range, and those beautiful Fuji colors! Also internal ProRes in three flavors (LT, 422, and HQ), with data rates up to 750mbps.Photos and video from this camera look great. Definitely a pleasure to edit and grade after using the clinical S-Log2. More on par with grading BRAW or V-Log (both of which I have used extensively), but with a bit of extra sauce, if you will.The Fuji X-Trans RAW requires a bit of extra care, as Lightroom does not interpret it as well as it could. Capture One seems better, but probably the best result can be had through DxO PureRaw2 plugged into Lightroom. It is a little extra work, but then again, the Fuji also generates gorgeous JPG images with its built in film sims, so RAW editing is not needed as often. The film sims are fully customizable, and you can find hundreds of recipes out there to give you almost any look that you could want. I only jump into the RAW when need the most granular control.In low light, the noise pattern is pleasing, compared to Sony or Nikon. The maximum ISO 12800 is perfectly useable with Neat Video or even Resolve Studio's built in NR applied. 6K open gate is beautiful. 4K is perfect up to 120fps (120p has a crop, but is sharp and looks great).Unfortunately, the HD 240p is unusably bad (awful stair-step aliasing) for anything more than a curiosity. Hopefully this can be fixed in firmware, but if not, I don't consider it a huge loss.Coming from Sony APS-C, I found the interface easy to get used to. The AF system more than adequate, if not amazing (better than the a6300). I tend to manual focus a lot anyway.The X-mount ecosystem is not as well supported as the Sony E-mount, so that is a consideration. But I looked at the lens options and decided there was enough available to suit my needs. There are also options (Fringer or Fotodiox) to convert EF lenses with full AF capability, so that expands the offerings quite a bit.All taken together, if you need a camera that does both video and photography well, you cannot go wrong with this camera.

I thought I wanted analogue controls as I dislike menus but for some reason Fuji menus seem more intuitive and the large number of buttons that can be user defined have made using this camera a familiar experience in a very short time. I have yet to find any difference in the resolution of this camera and the Nikon D850 and the lens is superb, it is lighter and easier to handle, it is very quiet, it has features that I have not seen before on a camera. Also, it has an aperture ring which I thought was a gimmick but I've been surprised how quickly I returned to using it, it's great. In short, the X-H2 has far exceeded my expectations and I now expect it to be my go-to camera on a daily basis.
