Furby and all associated features are brands of Hasbro.

It's very important I find to help with mental health and to have such a cute fun toy is great. It's also a multi layered so once you played with it for so long it unlocks another level so u don't get bored of the same thing over and over.It will talk and move even if you don't press the heart all the time. The booklet it comes with also has useful helpful tips and dictionary when kids ask what did the furby just say..It's also easy to get furby to go to sleep which is very cute.Very impressed with this furby toy for kids.

This FURBY is a blast from the past but also very Futuristic. I remember having a FURBY in the 90's and it was very different than this one even the colors are different. It was a joy to see FURBY reinvest it's self for the future generations. My little one and I had so much fun interacting with and trying to figure out how it works. I love that it allows you to interact with out needing the internet or wi-fi. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this brand of FURBY has it's own language. You can figure out what it is saying by using the folded booklet it comes with . It moves, talks, sings, lights up, and even responds to speech. You can Press the voice activated Furby toy's heart gem and say Hey Furby! To get Furby to listen, then say a command. The ears ... MoreThis FURBY is a blast from the past but also very Futuristic. Furby has been around for over 2 decades and I've owned a few each time. I can definitely say the 2023 version is by far the best. It's a lot more "kid friendly". Years ago, as a parent, my biggest complaint was that there was no way to shut Furby off. Many thanks to Hasbro for finally adding a way to shut off this toy so it doesn't randomly turn on at strange times. Furby also now has light up ears which are totally awesome. The ears light up green when Furby is listening to a command such as "dance party, light show, and Lets chill". Other times the ears light up different colors. The ears have alot more movements than previous Furbies. The new Furbies come with a few accessories, including a bracelet with charms that can be used as hair decoration, a brush and a ... The new Furbies come with a few accessories, including a bracelet with charms that can be used as hair decoration, a brush and a plastic pizza piece to "feed" Furby. At the time of this review Furby 2023 only comes in 2 colors, the purple/pink or coral. The 2023 models have light up buttons on their forehead and no longer have the lcd eyes or moving beak. I really love these changes. The eyes are cute with rainbows and hearts. Furby does not connect online but 2 or more Furbies can still chat and play together. Spending more time with Furby opens more songs and words. The more you play, the more Furby learns. Great updates in this model. And to turn Furby off just tap the forehead button 3 times.
I chose this Furby Purple Interactive Toy for my almost 6-year-old daughter as an early birthday present. It brought back memories from when my sister had a Furby back in the late 90s, so I was excited to share my love for Furby with my daughter. It needs four AA batteries to work and they are not in included. I love that there are so many interactive things that you can do Furby, like fortune-telling, a light show, a dance party, copycat, and guided meditation. Furby will also speak randomly, which causes my daughter to squeal in delight, as she thinks that it is talking to her. There's a cute little necklace that you can use for Furby or your kid - you just have to assemble the beads (snap together and put loop on the cord). If you twist it, you can also turn it ... If you twist it, you can also turn it into an adorable bracelet. There is a plastic pizza charm that you can "feed" to Furby. There's a small plastic comb that you can use to style Furby's hair. My daughter loves customizing its look - she even combed it a certain way so that it had her same hairstyle. My daughter calls Furby her bestie and even puts it to sleep in a little bed she made from a tissue box. This is one of the best toys you can get a kid in elementary school!
Wonderful interactive toy for a child! My grand daughter is loving this and is exploring all it's features. It does take 4 AA batteries, which are not included. The box it comes in has a "zipper" feature on the side that you use to open the box. Then there is a flap that you open and then you pull out the Furby along with a colorful background that you can use to pretend play. There is so much with this toy, that I'm sure we will find more as she plays with it.The fur is very brightly colored, the eyes blink and the ears light up. It shivers and it's little feet move. She has been so engaged with this toy that it is now all she plays with. But, it can be turned off when you need some quiet time. I believe the older Furby's could not and would randomly say something which was kind of freaky! This is a great toy for children age 6 or above. My grand daughter is 6, so she is just loving this!I have nothing but pros right now for this toy. She has been playing with it for 2 days straight, learning all its features. It's a cute toy, and you don't hear a lot of repeating phrases and songs, as there is so many.
I have had experience with two prior generations of furby toys, so I was excited to see the new features on this newest edition. Needless to say, it did not disappoint. Kiddo is still having a blast discovering its responses, songs etc.... His favorite feature is the "dance party". Furby dances, sings... and the ears light up, change colors and move around in time with the different songs. The ears are very pretty, and are definitely the best new feature... it gives Furby a magical element. A difference I have noticed, is that this furby's beak does not move when it speaks and sings like the older versions do. My kiddo also expressed that he wished it came in "boy" colors---we have the purple one (that also has pink and blue highlights), and the only other color ... However, kiddo still really enjoys playing with this little floof, and it is neat that new interactions unlock the more he plays with it. He has gotten a lot of laughs and amusement from this interactive toy, so I am very pleased with it.
The moment the 4th battery is pushed into place Furby comes alive. Before I even had the chance to fully secure the battery compartment lid he was giving me instructions to follow on how to play with him. Unfortunately those instructions proved to be incorrect after this initial meet. This Furby is a far cry from Furby of old. He begins to speak English, tossing in very few Furbish words. It comes with set games/responses, which does give it a bit more to play with than the original Furby.Furby's dance party can get a little wild. If you're not careful he will wobble dance his way right off whatever surface you have him on. His fortune telling is cute, like a fuzzy little fortune cookie. The light show function is okay. It isn't as exciting as I thought it might be. The chill function is actually pretty nice. Simple meditation type things for kids. As for copycat, well who doesn't love when a toy repeats you in a silly voice? All said and done, Furby is adorable. If you go in as an older person with expectations of previous Furby you will be slightly disappointed. However as a toy for kids of this day I think Furby makes a fun addition. While missing an off switch, it is easy to put Furby to sleep and then put away to play with later.
I've read other comments comparing this updated version of Furby to the classic Furby from the late 90s (I own one, and it's still functional!), and felt it is not quite up the 'interactive' component in terms of how motivated we to interact with the toy. I honestly did not have any expectation on the new 2023 Furby. While I do wish the manufactory kept the moving mouth pieces, this Furby is much easier to navigate and command to do fun activities (Dance Party, Fortune Telling, Voice Recording, etc.), in additions to the usual Feeding and Petting (combing hair). It also has an On/Off Button (the crystal in the middle of its head), which is a plus. (Whereas the classic Furby, I had to take out the batteries to make it quiet). I got the Furby during the price drop event, so I find it to be a very good deal for what it can offer.
We purchased the Furby as a Christmas gift for a child. It did not work properly. I read about this being a problem online and contacted Hasbro. I had to send pictures and videos. The first thing they try to blame it on is “batteries that are not strong enough.” After sending photos and videos of the malfunctioning toy and inserting brand new batteries they sent me a postage bar code to send it back to them. Several weeks later they contacted me to state they no longer had any in stock and that “if I send them a copy of the receipt” they will send a refund. They have the Furby in their possession and now want me to send them a receipt from a toy I purchased months ago. What a hassle to have to work with this company.
