Furminator - Deshedding Tool - Long Hair Large Cat - Metallic Purple

One of my cats sheds a lot during the warmer months! It has became an annoyance to be cleaning up after her. I tried furminator and shedding has greatly improved. I made sure to introduce this to my cat in a non stressful environment so she doesn't get traumatized by it. It doesn't seem to bother her! She doesn't run away or hide. I make sure to give her a treat after!

I LOVE this tool. My cat sheds a LOT as hes a ginger tabby, and while its annoying for me to clean, it also causes hairball issues with him. Slicker brushes are a great daily tool, but it requires lots of strokes and i find myself using my hand to brush and pick up everything the brush has loosened. the furminator works incredibly well to pull out all the excess shed and hair that just wont get picked up with a brush. The eject button removes hair from the brush quickly. Tbh i havent had to replace the blades yet and ive had mine a few years. Just be mindful it shouldnt be used daily as it can irritate the skin. Add this to your grooming routine weekly and you’ll notice a huge difference.

This is a MUST have for any cat owner. This product has SAVED my clothes, furniture, and my sanity. This is a great de-shedding tool for your cat. It truly does remove all the extra fur. I never realized how much I needed this product until I had it. This has immensely stopped the amount of fur my cat sheds and helps to keep fur from appearing all around my house. I found definitely recommend this to any pet owner who has an animal who sheds very frequently.

Well first let me start by saying, yes this product is definitely EXPENSIVE! But also, oh so worth it! We have two long hair, BLACK cats. So when I say I have cat ha8r everywhere, I mean it. My friends even have my cat's hair at their house! This product has been a lifesaver! It works so well. The handle grip is so comfortable, especially with someone who has carpel tunnel syndrome. It has a "furejector" which gets all the hair out of the brush is immediately. Plus, it's safe for my 4 year old son to use because the brush itself isn't sharp enough to hurt him, but enough to really get the tangles out of my cat's hair. There isn't one bad thing I could say about this. Well, maybe a sale every once in a while, but honestly SO WORTH IT!!!

This works pretty well. Only reason it doesn't have 5 stars is cause the price. I can get a knockoff one that works pretty much the same, but the product itself is good. My cats range from small to big and short to long hair and it works on all of them. Only thing I'd change is the price to lower. [Yes, I actually have one of these too and not just reviewing a knockoff of this.]

Mixed review

I bought this as recommended for our bunnies. They both hate it! They have a lot of scruffy moulting fur (not tangled, they just moult a lot) and I was hoping this would help but it really upsets them, so I won't use it again m.We also have 2 cats. One of them likes it and the other is not too sure about it. It does seem to remove quite a bit of fur. This brush is sturdy and well made but I'm a bit disappointed as after all the hype and reviews I expected it to be more successful!

My British Short HATES it

I bought this expensive brush based on the comments section.Firstly, it is an expensive brush. So I will expect more from this brush.It is a great brush - it can brush off lots of hair.But my British short hates it.I guess it is a personal (cat) preference.I hope everyone can double-check your fur baby preference before purchasing this brush.

Really works!

My elderly cat doesn't groom himself as much these days, so sheds a lot of undercoat fur which does accumulate, even though he is a shorthair. I've previously tried the Truetouch glove, which is somewhat effective, but can irritate him after a while to the point where he lashes out and bites/scratches the gloved hand - I think it over-stimulates him. However, the Furminator is amazing - even lots of repeated strokes don't irritate him, and I can use it to almost completely remove his loose fur. While using it, you do need to frequently remove the fur from the teeth of the comb. But it's so effective that it's no big deal anyway. And be sure to only use light pressure! The brush worked great for 4 hours goes‐ but mine arrived missing a tip

I luv this brush... until I realised there was 1 tooth missing and next use lost a few more teeth. The high tensile steel has a tendency to snap- which has been dangerous when it has as has thrown out at speed sharp metal brush tips the size of large spliters 😥 Not sure if I just received an already broken one? Or whether it's metal was already ready to splinter off... but it has barely done a few weeks grooming since I first used it and am really unhappy with it. Is a pity- because the concept is brilliant.. and first go it took out more dandruff and stuff than any other brush I'd used before. But I can't get past the fact how quickly such an pricey brush broke. I do like the idea of the brush- maybe I just got unlucky 😥

Works great on ragdolls

I've bought 3 brushes for my 3 months old ragdolls and by far furminator beats em all.It deshed and collect baby furs in one go.Good grip, the steel makes it feel sturdy.I was quite impressed how much fur I've got in one go.It's small enough to go through the armpit, neck, very easy to handle.It has this button that pushes out the fur from the base of the brush to the tips for easier cleaning.I don't find it to be particularly useful but it doesn't hurt.Most importantly, my cats who doesn't like the other two brushes seems to not mind this one.
