Gaiam Yoga Mat - Folding Travel Fitness & Exercise Mat - Foldable Yoga Mat for All Types of Yoga, Pilates & Floor Workouts (68"L x 24"W x 2mm Thick)

Perfect for my needs in my home Yoga studio. I wanted a small mat that can be tucked out of the way. It folds up small to slip into your Yoga bag. It DID have an odor, but after a few days that smell dissipated. This mat IS very thin as it states in the description, 2mm, but would be perfect on top of a normal thickness mat if you go to a studio.Very nice quality!Gaiam makes good products!

Compact yoga mat, folds to 9x12x1.5 inches

The mat folds easily, and is very thin (approx 1/8 inch or 2mm) so it folds about as flat/compact as you could expect. When completely folded, the mat's dimension are about 9"x12"x1.5", so it fits easily inside a backpack/laptop bag/or flat tote bag.I bought this for the primary purpose of having a yoga mat that didn't require carrying a long rolled up mat or an additional tube shaped bag, and this works. At roughly $20, this is a pretty standard price for a non-folding mat. (time will tell if the mat breaks down at the folds, but seems like good contruction so optimistic about durability)I also purchased a couple of thin 50x70 inch quick dry camp towels for about $8 each, so my yoga gear is now way more compact than before.

Fantastic travel yoga mat

I have really enjoyed this yoga mat. I bought it one year ago when I realized I was going to be stuck out of town for a while just after COVID-19 lockdown. I’ve used it in hotels, parks, beach and carried it in my backpack. It is thin so if that bothers you I wouldn’t recommend it. But because it’s thin it is light. it folds up flat To fit in a suitcase, backpack, briefcase or whatever. It’s definitely sturdy. I have mats at home that have damage after much use then I’ve put this one through and it still looks new! If there are any cons, the width is a little narrower than a standard mat. Also it’s just a little bit slick. May be slick isn’t quite the right word but it’s not sticky like a traditional mat. I have had no problem with that however. Definitely recommend and would also make a nice gift.

Good mat to use on carpeted floors

This mat is great if you practice yoga or work out on carpet or you could use it to add an extra layer with another mat. It folds nicely, has attractive pattern and is relatively sticky as yoga mats go. Even though I use at home, I look forward to traveling with it eventually. Holds up well. I’ve been using at home consistently over the last 9 months, and it still looks great.

Great for traveling!

I practice yoga daily and have used his every day on a two week trip to Mexico. I plan to travel with it every time I fly- it's great if you're trying to pack lightor even if you're packing a lot- you can still fit it in! I have sensitive knees so the thin mat makes hard floors painful. I suggest a towel for padding or double folding the mat.

Perfect for home and travel

My daughter has this foldable mat and I was always borrowing hers to take on vacation. I bought my own, and now I use it at home on top of a carpet. It prevents slipping and has a pleasant vibe. It is super easy to stow away, so my family room looks tidier without my mat always being out on the floor.

Pretty Yoga Mat for Travelling

I purchased this yoga mat for vacation. I knew I wanted to practice yoga during my trip and this allowed me to easily bring my own mat in my suitcase. The color and design are pretty and appear as depicted in the photos. The mat isn't super thin when folded, but small enough to fit in a large tote bag. The only drawback is it's not as heavy as other mats, meaning it flew up a few times due to the wind when I was practicing outside.

THE SMELL

I bought this mat to have for strictly travel. It fits it's purpose for me. It's not slippery if you are dry. It's not for hot yoga. The smell is horrible. I have wiped it down with light soap and water and left it to air dry. It still smells I have to put a towel over it to use it. I am hoping the smell wears off.

Way too thin and no grip

This travel toga mat was disappointing. Yes, it was small enough to fit into my suitcase easily, but not worth it at all it turns out. It's so thin that it feels like there's no barrier between me and the floor, so exercising is really uncomfortable. There's also no grip on it, so my hands easily slide. Maybe their regular mats are good, but I would say definitely save your money and don't invest in the travel product.

Yuck

This is awful. I had one which was around 20 bucks and got it at a store that sells the best deals. Anyways, this is not even like a yoga mat. It's not wide nor long enough. The material is yuck. I don't want one that is thick, but this thing is laughable. I guess it does pay to go to the store and buy. The design is cute. If you are serious about your yoga mat, shop around first. Go in person to check them out.
