Have had many others over the years, and the usual story after a year to two they start sticking and a few squirts of silicone spray into the guts would temporarily fix it - but eventually they all quit completely way too soo. Bought one of these Gardena's a few days ago and it is extremely good. Very smooth operation and love being able to adjust the width of the spray. Great water saving feature, as it can be adjusted accurately to keep water off driveways, or house walls. Solid build quality, and nice and heavy so it stays in place. By far best I've had.

This sprinkler is amazing. It not only adjusts for the width of the garden, it adjusts for the length of the oscillation by the height of the water and how far it oscillates. I have a very small area to water, and the garden is narrow. I was concerned after I bought it that the sprinkler would water too wide, but it can adjust to a width almost as narrow as the sprinkler itself. It was worth spending the extra money to get this item.

I hava a reasonable sized back yard lawn area and until I bought sprinkler I had been using a round one. This meant many shifts of hose and much overlapping of water plus I still had to hand water the corners. Now two sweeps using this sprinkler and minor adjusting and the entire area done. Saving time and water. Best sprinkler I've ever bought.

I bought this sprinkler to water a long, narrow lawn due to its claimed watering area capability. Unfortunately it’s lucky to water 3m either side of the unit (6m), not even close to the claimed 18m. Watering width is also about 3m, making total watering area closer to 80m2 than the claimed 250m2.
Very well made. Easy to use. Just put it on your tap fitting and off you go. It has a large adjustable width spread with sliding buttons each side which are simple to use. It also has a long high spread depending on the water pressure going through it. Gardena products are slightly more expensive but well worth a bit extra and made to last. Very happy with my purchase.
Great sprinkler. Does the job great and I like that you can customise the height and width of the spray. You get what you pay for and the quality seems pretty good.
Like all gardena products, the build quality is great. However the area it is able to cover varies dramatically depending on the water pressure from tap. In my backyard this unit covers only 6m x 10m when placed at ground level and tap fully open, much smaller than the claimed "up to 14m x 18m".
Coverage is great. I bought the one with 17m coverage and it just wasn't enough for the area I required. Then I bought this and wow, it really covered the area well. It has a lot more water pressure reaching further. Really happy being able to adjust length and width of spray.
I've had this sprinkler for more than a year and it's the best sprinkler I've ever had. It's particular great for rectangular areas but you can adjust the spray to be as wide or as narrow as you like. The best bit is you can adjust the width of the spray on both sides separately for those odd shape areas you need to water. It's just the best sprinkler.
Will this item prove to be indispensable as advertised? Totally unknown at this point. It was easy to set up and stay put. The sprinkler has a lot of plastic that looks and feels flimsy. So value for money is questionable. Will it last? Is the quality - value there? Only time will tell. First impression for $89 is that it does the job but is expensive for what is supplied. Must have mains pressure or alternative to supply sufficient water to device. Would I recommend it - Maybe. At this time there are too many unknowns to either recommend or not. I would not rush out and buy another. It is up to the consumer what they would do.
