Took forever to actually get it to communicate with phone. Says can watch live using wifi such as while in the store or at work....no. Only if you have a password for that specific network. Everytime I try to view a video and then go back to gallery it shows only a few saved videos. Have to disconnect and reconnect and it will show them all again. 15 seconds!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats awful. I miss half the incidents because unless your ready, you'll miss the save. What if I need video proof I wasn't swerving or speeding???? Lastly, direct wifi to phone will allow live view.....its range is about to the front bumper.

15 seconds isn’t long enough to capture an incident

I have had a 66w for a couple years, love it. It takes 1 minute clips that you can trim if desired. I bought a 67w thinking it would be the same just with better picture quality. But I soon learned that it only takes 30 second clips. So most of my videos that I’ve saved don’t even capture the whole incident. I would rather trim a video that’s too long than to not have a complete video. Please fix this garmin.

30 seconds?  Really Garmin???  C’mon!!!!!

How in the world does Garmin think a 30 second clip is enough? When you save a video it saves the previous 15 seconds and the next 15 seconds for a total of 30 seconds. If you’re in a accident or near miss you might not instantly think of saving the clip, and it you don’t save it then, it’s too late. My 45 saved 3 minutes worth, 90 seconds before and after 90 seconds after the save was activated. You will then have to go to your unsaved video and hope it hasn’t been overwritten to find a full length clip of what you’re looking for. This is very poor thinking on Garmin. I do love how the app works, it’s so much easier than the old VIRB app.I do want to note this is for my Garmin Dash Cam 57, but it appears that the 67 is the same way.

Disappointed
18 July 2022

I've been using this for over a month now and upgraded from another Garmin dashcam. I'm pretty disappointed in the picture quality. I expected more from the higher resolution but this still struggles with reg plates when youre not up against them. The wide angle lens is really annoying because it takes most of the inside of your car in the picture. My old Garmin 55 didnt appear to have as much of an issue with light shining on the screen or marks on my window. If I'd bought this on Amazon, I'd have returned it. Get a demo of this before you think about buying one.

Bought as use garmin for other uses. But a little disappointed with this camera.Image and recording are good and it's simple to use.But very limited, no map plots, acceleration details etc. Also VERY limited remote access, live viewing OK, but cannot access saved video over WiFi unless uploaded to the garmin vault. In summary I'm not sure I would buy again. Would consider some of the alternative options.

So it's not doing for me the most important reason I bought it!! I'm hoping eventually there will be a way it can connect to the interent network like our mobiles do! The app is good easy to use, but to use the vault to see your footage you have to be close to the car! Therefore the same internet issue.

I expected better from Garmin
6 November 2022

It's Garmin, I thought, I'd be alright. No. Every time I turn it on it asks for the 'locale' which means every time I turn on the engine I literally have to reset the dash cam. It's tedious and not good enough. I've updated it to the latest software version and still no fix, others have had this problem too and Garmin provides no solution to it. Returning it tomorrow. Don't buy it.As for the features, they work as expected but having to select the language each time I turn it on (and Australia is of course at the top of the long list but it opens at US so you have to scroll all the way to the top just to select it which takes a good 30 seconds each time you start the car).

It's a featureful cam - does everything in a tiny package.
9 August 2021

I use this front facing on my hatchback. Works great and as advertised. It even syncs up with the Mini 2 I have in the rear thus allowing me to view both views time-synced. Only issue is that the wi-fi sometimes drops. But maybe that's a phone issue or the car's CarPlay trying to hijack the connection for itself - not sure. Maybe a bluetooth connection on these devices would help as a backup. Another issue is that some of the touted extra features like lane departure warning work intermittently so I can't rely on them always. But one really shouldn't be buying these cams for such gimmicks anyway - they're dashcams and damn good ones. No regrets; will recommend to everyone!

Outstanding piece of equipment
3 October 2022

OUTSTANDING – tiny, easy to fit, great 180degree video, app (Garmin Drive) is superb too, which is most unusual for DashCams. The fact that this has built-in GPS allowing speed camera updates is brilliant, warns when the traffic has moved and I am not concentrating, and access to the camera remotely over wifi is a game-changer. Really impressed after a week with it.

Taking me a while to get to grips with this
5 March 2022

I bought this because it said that it was simple to set up. I'm afraid it is far from simple - or maybe it is me who is simple? I'm in my 60's but fairly savvy and I'm struggling. The first hurdle was actually attaching it to the windscreen. The instructions are ok, which I followed, then it just fell off. No problem I thought, there was a metal plate with an adhesive pad in the box. The windscreen mount appeared to have a magnet under the adhesive pad, so I scraped off the old adhesive and tried to stick it to the metal windscreen disc. It just would not centralise. It was as if the magnet was trying to repel it. God knows what I am doing wrong here. The instructions don't even mention the magnet!! So I haven't even had a chance to use the camera.
