Tiny, tiny screen, barley worth using, activecaptain app is pretty bad as well. Then you get a 1 year subscription, just be prepared to spend 200 bucks a year to keep it. Heading inland to a lake? NO PROBLEM, just pay another 200 bucks for the lake charts, by the way you have to do that every year too. So if you want to pay almost over between 900 and 1500 on the echomap uhd2 series, and go in salt and lakes, be prepared to cough up 400 bucks every year. You also get to hold your nice expenive tranducer with break way plastic, that way as it weakens and falls off and gets easten by your prop in a year you get tp spend 350 bucks more on onw of those too. Waste of time waste of money, taking this junk off my boat and returning it. Pathetic showing from the greedy ... MoreTiny, tiny screen, barley worth using, activecaptain app is pretty bad as well. Stepped up to next level charts, gps sonar and navigation, happy so far.
Everything you need to navigate and fish, great allround unit.
Great unit. I feel like it has improved my fishing in every single way except for my skill and patience. Unfortunately it does nothing for those. BUT as a sounder I love this unit.
Easy to install. Works great ony jet ski.Easy to use.
I have used this for 2 years now. It's a great little unit. It has navigation charts but also fishing charts. The side view and down view are good. Not the best but adequate for what I do. My only issue is the screen size. When I split the screen for nav and depth I loose a lot info on seeing what is up ahead. I do like the chartplotter saves you from running aground here in florida. If I where to do it again I would buy 2 one for navigation and one for depth. Make boating easier. All said its a great unit I would purchase it again without hesitation.
Very happy with it, good charts, easy to operate, works well.
The 73sv is the perfect size for the boat and not too bulky or heavy when I use it for ice fishing. The touchscreen model makes all my interactions with the unit quick and easy so I really like that.If you don't mind using a keypad, that model is a little easier on the wallet. There are so many things I like but the side scan and the quickdraw contours has really changed the way I fish.Until I bought this Garmin...I only thought I knew the structure I've fished my entire life!Keep a tight line and thanks Garmin!
