Has more features than I will ever learn let alone be using. The watch on just its face has time, day and date, sunrise-sunset time, barometric pressure, altitude, battery life and solar input system reading. Theres 5 pushable buttons that are the gateway to 100s of different sensors and functions to cover a long list and range of life activities including gyms, hiking to climbing with complete maps, yoga ++++. Mine has the titanium body and band which really increases the visual quality and appeal. Its the Rolls Royce of this genre of life style timepieces.

This watch was a bit of a splurge for me. I am however very pleased.I have had 3 other Garmin watches and this basically has everything. It noticeably weigh more than my Forerunner 735xt, but after 2 weeks I am used to it.I really like the larger display for my old may eyes to read while not wearing glasses.I like the longer battery life. NOTE - if you turn on the OX monitor it will significantly reduce that. I changed it to only OX monitor while sleeping and I get 15days, with 6 days of GPS tracked exercises on average.I am not sure how many more full days of charge I get from the solar, but it is winter here in San Diego, so only partly sunny. It takes about a full hour to re-charge, so if you a a stats junky, that may bother you to miss one hour of your ... That appears to be a multistep process. But I am sure once I do it it will work great. The altimeter is fun to watch on airplane rides, and the built in compass and maps have been very helpful while wander/running.

Great watch. I owned the Fenix 5 and eventually had issues with it charging, hence I decided to upgrade. So far so good. I love the solar charging feature and the build is strong. The additional features compared to the Fenix 5 are brilliant. I'm no athlete and this is after all a sports watch, I just love the data it collects! Battery is outstanding! On smart watch mode (standard, using no battery saving options) I get around 8-9 days which is good for me. In battery saving mode it says I can get 80 days which is ridiculously good, but keep in mind you this mode doesn't track heart rate, sleeping patterns, phone notifications etc. But this is customisable to include selected data tracking within settings (reducing battery life), so do not worry. I purchased my 6 x about 4 weeks ago and I am really disappointed for several reasons. Last Sunday I took part in the Berlin Marathon. The 6 x showed up a distance of 43.2 k and a new Marathon record of 3:36:30. My official finisher time was 3:43:56. This variance is not acceptable for me and hopefully does not meet your perception of quality. In addition the displayed heart rates while running constant slow speed on plain ground sometimes jumps by up to 40 bips per minute. Simular with the ongoing display of time per k. Finally I have to say, that even after several resets there is no sleep Widget as incuded in the user manual. How can I fix these problems without being lead in a circle of time consuming attempts of references to the user manual. It is a good watch. I wish the solar actually charged the battery verses slow down the depletion of the battery. I had the instinct before this one and it would stay charged which was really good for me working outside all the time. I do understand that there is a lot more going on with this watch then the instinct. The maps are handy, I was on a hiking trip and fog moved in when we were on the mountain and I had to navigate the cliff face with my watch because I couldn’t see the edge with my sight. The TOPO came in handy and it also came into play when I was mountain biking and I lost the trail and was able to pick it up with the maps. Health feature I would say are pretty good for what you have on your wrist. Over all good watch bit pricey but I do understand why the high price tag. If you can learn to use it as an every day tool in the backcountry or in the gym you can get your moneys worth out of it.
I bought this watch several months ago. The two biggest reason I bought is was for the hiking and golf features. This watch is great for both. For hiking I also purchased the 24k Topo maps which provide very detail views when I am hiking. The tracking is great to allow you to find the your way back easily if you are not on well marked trails. Highly recommend both for the serious hiker. I also really like the different displays you can view while hiking such as ascent/descent amounts. For golf, it does a very good job of keeping track of the shots and where you are at. I have used competitor range finders and what is great about this watch is the number of preloaded courses. I have yet to find a course that is missing. When you use the watch in conjunction with ... Replaced my aging Fenix 2 that was no longer waterproof. This Fenix 6 is gets a GPS signal right away where my other watch could take 5 minutes many times causing me to either not use it to track walks or missing the first part. The Fenix 6 also syncs to Garmin Connect effortlessly soon after pressing save on the activity. I used to have to fight with the bluetooth connection on the older watch. So far I have been very pleased with the watch and even with all the features for 24h activity tracking turned on, I get at least a week from the battery.I have noticed that if the watch has not been rebooted in a while that the turn by turn notifications can stop popping up. I can plan a route for a walk just before going and send it to the watch so that I can share the route via Live Track for additional safety.
I’ve had my Garmin Fenix 6X Solar Pro now for about a month. I was a bit challenged by REI as it took almost 2 weeks for the product to arrive. REI’s ability to get product out in a timely manner is not as good as it’s competitors. To give REI credit they did reach out to me and I did appreciate that. The watch has been great so far but it does a lot and it takes time to use and get practiced with all of the functions. I do a lot of hiking and really like the ability to track and record all of that data. I also like how you can use it to navigate. I’m also a cyclist and it does well at tracking that activity too. I have a Garmin 830 on my bike and it’s better for cycling but one could get by with the Fenix. The battery life is really good. It will go days without ... It will go days without needing charging and if you do a little research you’ll Lean ways to make the battery last even longer. It does charge if your out in the sun but it’s minimal. You have to be out in direct sunlight for a long time for it to get any substantial charge. If you walk in the woods or it’s cloudy, don’t count on it charging much.
The watch is disappointing due to the internals. I will no longer shop from Galaxus after this. I am also disgusted at Garmin's solution which is to replace a 30 day old watch with an defective internal component with a "recertified one" that has clear damage on the case and who know what else.Anyone considering buying this or any other Garmin products be aware, the "warranty" policy of Garmin is to replace your watch with a a beat up garbage instead of repairing the one you submit.Anyone considering buying from Galaxus, inspect your products for defects and previous ownership because they have been doing this regularly to me for the past several months.
I just got this watch for my birthday, I will say this, it’s expensive! I will also say this, it’s worth it! This watch does a hell of a lot, it doesn’t have a touch screen, but too me that’s good!! What it does have is amazing features , amazing maps, amazing gps and a lot , lot more! Look Apple Watch is good! But this watch is just better! I don’t see myself going back to an Apple Watch , the Fenix is big, rugged and just a good damn watch! If you knock an Apple Watch into the wall , door, or whatever it’s more than likely gonna scratch or crack, not the Fenix! It’s very tough! Plus it’s water proof! Guys this watch does so many awesome things to help you track fitness and to help you stay on top of your game! I used it a few days ago hiking on Pikes Peak in ... Guys this watch does so many awesome things to help you track fitness and to help you stay on top of your game! I used it a few days ago hiking on Pikes Peak in Colorado where I live and it was very accurate on altitude, temperature and gps, this watch is worth every penny! Don’t waste your money on an Apple Watch or a Samsung ! You’ll be better off spending on a Garmin!! No, I don’t work for Garmin ! No I’m not affiliated with them in any way! I just know a good product, and plus the reviews don’t lie. I think one thing that really impressed me about the watch was the battery life, I’ve never owned a watch with battery life like this, it’s just an incredible investment, and I will honestly be a Garmin guy for now on. If you are an outdoor person, if you love fitness and health this is definitely the way too go! Expensive, yes! But it’s damn worth it!!!!!!!
