I had the garmin fenix 5 before this, this is a huge upgrade. Haven't used all the features yet. The battery last a long time, I don't really notice the solar charging working much. From a design and performance stand point this is well worth it for anyone who wants a do all watch. Highly recommend this watch.

Originally purchased for the Applied Ballistics app to shoot PRS matches.Been using it for MTB. The stats are awesome and helps me fitness track.Although, heart rate monitor doesn't seem to work well at the gym when on the stair-master. Readings are way off. The elliptical seems to work better but still off. It's amazing how the watch can track heart rate on a bumpy MTB ride, but cannot accurately track HR during stationary exercise machines.Tip from Garmin is to do warmup before hitting up the gym to use stationary machines. Seems to kinda work. Galaxy 5 Pro watch has a similar issue, however the HR monitor works better and a bit more accurate. Both work fine when and are accurate while doing other sports activities.

I had the garmin fenix 5 before this, this is a huge upgrade. Haven't used all the features yet. The battery last a long time, I don't really notice the solar charging working much. I am a Garmin Tactix lover. I had all the Tactix so far but this by far is the best yet. It not cheap and it shows in its premium built. You can dress up this watch with a Titanium belt or get down to dirty business while going outdoor, hunting or shooting like me. The performance is the best from all watches I have which are many. With HeartRate Monitors USA they have always worked with me to upgrade and the best service.
This watch arrived fast. The package was excellent and in a sturdy box. The watch is beautiful, with loads of things you can do. I recently used it for a hike and mapped my hike us dwMAP app (better with premium). As I was trucking along the paths, my watch vibrated and looked at my watch, and I could see the arrow telling me that I was off course by a few feet. Once I got back on track, it was quiet. Occasionally I looked at the watch to see what it was doing, but it was tracking my every step and path. Very cool watch; I'm not new to Garmin as my previous watch was a Tactix Charlie. I agree it is overkill for the majority of folks. It works for me in my line of work.
Great product. Face is large and easy to read. Came out of the box a little dark for me but you can adjust the brightness. I got the screen protector bundle and it fits very nicely and has not come off or given me any problems. It’s nice peace of mind knowing it’s protected from scratches when you’re in the wood or running etc. For more reviews on the watch there a bunch of good YouTube videos showing features and things. Shipping from this site was fast and free. Came sooner than they said. Overall very pleased.
Does everything I need and more! And the battery life is greats replaced my fenix 7 solar sapphire with this one because the watch face on the fenix was a little hard to read but still wanted the sapphire. And this did the trick. Thanks to play better for the fast shipping and return of the fenix!

It's great having a range table on my wrist. There appears to be no way to tell the watch to stop counting "steps".* The solar ring doesn't collect energy from indoor lighting, which could prolong battery life.* The watch uses a charging/data transfer cable with a proprietary connector. I realize that the standard Mini USB connector may be unsuitable, but it's still a headache. I'm keeping the supplied cable in my car and got an aftermarket charging stand for home.Overall I like the watch, but there is definitely room for improvement.
This watch is amazing! I got it here on playbetter because of the return policy. So many times I wanted to send back to be fugal, but this thing is just too good! I won't need another one for 10 years! (That's my rationalization for keeping it. Haha. It if don't buy another watch for a few years it will actually save me money!) Currently training for my first spartan race with it and I'm an out of shape 45 year old. Well I was pretty out of shape a few months ago.
