I got nervous after reading the negative reviews mentioning how it made some people's eyes swell and burn, etc. The only thing I can think of is that it's not for all skin types/some must have allergies? I've never had any known allergies and my skin is not sensitive. It is oily and acne prone. This product is without a doubt the only makeup remover that actually removed ANY and ALL traces of makeup! I like to do a FULL face of concealer and foundation some days, other days I layer on multiple coats of mascara, go hard with the bronzer and highlight, or apply falsies and a ton of lash glue. I change it up a lot but REGARDLESS of the type and amount of product I apply this micellar water gently and effectively removes it. I drench a couple cotton rounds in this micellar water and wipe all over my face, around my eyelids and over my lashes with ZERO irritation whatsoever, and I have very sensitive, redness prone skin. I’ve tried many other “all-in-one” or “safe for sensitive skin” micellar waters at the drug store and even from Sephora and none worked as well as this one for me personally, and they usually made my eyelids and under eye area burn. Try this out if, like me, you’ve got sensitive skin but like to wear heavy makeup and want all traces of it gone without getting skin irritation in the process. I order on Amazon (often is on sale) and use every time I wear makeup. Follow with double cleanse and serum (if serum is part of your skincare routine) + moisturizer and you will feel brand new.

I do in depth reviews with my products. This one is very poor. And a lot of people will do a product review in just 24-72 of using this. Noone has answered any real long term effects. This product is good with soothing and have smooth skin after applying and does not require to wash or rinse anything off. 1. Your skin does feel smooth after use. 2. It leaves behind a dehydrated effect to your skin which gives off a dry ash white residue. 3. More then 2 uses will cause your skin to crack, especially if applying to your lips. It causes sores. Sores like if your lips are dry and you split them due to the lack of moisture to your skin. 4. This does not remove all the makeup from your face. I have not tried the other Garnier Cleansing products, so this one is not on my personal list to rebuy.

There isn’t an oil per se and usually when they say that they’re talking about mineral oil which is some thing you definitely want to stay away from especially if you have oily skin because that will cause breakouts and irritation. The layering process is to remove heavy duty make up like waterproof mascara. Which it does do fabulously with very little irritation. Do not rub on your eyes can you do a padding motion first and then swipe it and use your finger nail to kind of get in the crease where your eyeliner or mascara hits on your eyelashes. And you do need to wash your face after this especially if you have oily skin if you’re leaving that kind of stuff on your face like any make up remover it’s going to be uncomfortable it’s kind of like washing your face with cleanser and not rinsing. I hope that helped someone out there and again this is a great product if you were heavy kinds of make up the Neutrogena even the target brand of the Neutrogena is fantastic too and it does cause a lot less irritation but again make sure that you wash your face with a gentle cleanser afterwards to get rid of all the residue and is always use a good moisturizer whether it be gel or lotion.

I purchased a new bottle recently anticipating running out of the one I'd been using. I opened my new bottle and instinctively took off the lid to remove the protective seal. There was no seal, so I chose not to use it thinking perhaps the bottle had been tampered with. I called the customer service number on the bottle and was told that the company does not put protective seals under the lid/over the opening of the bottle as a means of producing less plastic waste.
