I liked how simple Olla was to use; simply squeeze the colour shade into the developer bottle (with cap still screwed on the tip) and shake for a moment or so to thoroughly mix the formulas together and use the gloves provided to apply to your **dry, unwashed hair** and leave on for 30 minutes, rinse out with warm water until water runs clear. Apply the provided conditioner (which I really loved the smell and feel of; very floral and very thick and creamy in texture. Very generous sized tube, the conditioner was my favourite aspect of the hair dye box) onto the hair and leave on for at least 3 minutes, rinse out. Towel/air dry hair and it is done. The colour pay off... I was hoping for the platinum black. In some patches it is. The lengths of my hair are very patchy and I can still see patches of my brown hair peeking through.. although it now looks more grey than black or brown haha!! A washed out light blackish brownish grey hue. Some bits are black, some washed out black, some grayish, some light "bronde". So two packets... not quite enough! There is still quite a bit of patches that need coverage. I followed the instructions and left it on for the 30 minutes; although after applying it to the hair I then wrapped my hair up in cling wrap which helps the dye penetrate deeper into the hair fibres due to the warmth from being wrapped up in cling wrap. It does sound and look weird when it is on but it does really help the colour get into the fibres better. Am I happy with the end result? If I had had more coverage, no multi colored patches left behind in my hair after rinsing I would be very happy with the colour itself. The experience of using is simple enough and I love the conditioner, it is very nourishing and leaves the hair feeling soft after use. So for me this is a NEUTRAL review. I did not have a overly negative experience (it is easily rectifiable by another box of dye) but it isn't a faultless experience either so for this reason I will give it a neutral review.

It is only for virgin hair. Already color treated hair it will not work on. It does eventually fade to a plain blonde after a few months. It's gentle and easy to understand the directions. It will lighten virgin hair overall. So, even when it fades it's still a blonde shade. This meant I was able to try different Colorista semi permanent shades because my hair was light enough for them to work. I recommend trying lighter shades and working towards darker more vibrant shades. This rose gold color is a great way to ease into more unique and interesting colors. First time using this brand, I have been coloring for years. I usually go for Colorsilk or Féria, but when I saw this also was ammonia free and vegan I had to try it. My hair was a muddy medium/light brown color and I wanted a very dark shade, but not a black. So I watched a YouTube review Carli Bybel did and bought this one. It smelled beautiful not that typical hair dye smell I hate. The dye did not drip at all which I loved. I will say it took longer to mix because it was more creamy rather than liquidy. One bottle was just enough for my hair which is shoulder length and not thick so keep that in mind. The color saturated well. My hair is very dark, shiny and they do feel really healthy. I’d rather have them feeling a little greasy rather than that stripped dry feeling other dyes have. I will definitely use this brand again.

I recently tried Garnier Olia Hair Color, and I'm delighted with the results. This hair color not only transformed my hair but also provided a nourishing experience throughout the process. One of the standout features of Olia is the absence of ammonia, which means it has a pleasant, less harsh scent compared to many other hair dyes. It's also gentle on the scalp, causing minimal irritation. The application process was straightforward, thanks to the included instructions and gloves. The creamy consistency of the dye made it easy to spread evenly through my hair. I opted for a brown shade, and the color turned out rich and vibrant, just as I had hoped. Plus, the color didn't fade quickly, and it maintained its vibrancy for weeks. Overall, Garnier Olia Hair Color offers beautiful, long-lasting results while being gentler on your hair and scalp. If you're looking for a hair dye that delivers both color and care, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Disappointing Results

I bought this with high hopes as I was ready for a change and I loved the color on the box. I will say that the application was super easy and the dye didn't have the awful smell that at home kits normally do, which is why I gave two stars instead of just one. When applying, I was super excited, as the color looked like it would be really intense and bright, as pictured on the box. My hair is a light to medium blonde, darker at the roots. After rinsing, however, the result was vastly underwhelming. The color was there, but was nowhere near what the box represented for my shade. Additionally, I'm now two weeks post dye, and for what should have been a "permanent" color, all that remains is the BAREST hint of pink. I only wash my hair 2-3 times per week, with color ... MoreI bought this with high hopes as I was ready for a change and I loved the color on the box. I normally use Dark Blonde from a different brand but have been unable to purchase for a number of months. It can be quite scary I think, changing brand and wondering which colour to go for but I am so glad I went with this product. Easy to apply, smells really nice and most importantly, it looks like I have just stepped out of a salon. The colour is so natural, and just that little shade lighter than Dark Blonde which I've always wanted but only achieve by washing my hair to lighten it slightly, or my hairdresser mixing shades. I've noticed quite a few reviews stating the user has blonde hair, used this product and didn't achieve the result they wanted. This colour is definitely NOT blonde in any way and I doubt it would lighten your hair either. Long Lasting Vibrant Color

Greys? I have them. Long ones, short ones and really frizzy, curly ones - typically I go to the salon, where I need to set side at least two hours of time and can feel my butt go numb from sitting in the chair; I wanted to avoid that, so I went to the pharmacy and came across this product... the best part of (what I first thought) was that it would be done in less than an hour! Woo hoo!Had no idea that the colour would turn out so rich and vibrant as well!I went to work the next day and one of my coworkers stopped me to say the colour was really flattering and set off my grey eyes so that they just startle! I absolutely love the platinum black shade!! It is such a nice deep cool toned dark black and to describe the color it’s somewhere between black and blue black ( not blue tones but more like ashy silvery shiny glamorous tones) ! It’s the perfect shade! It’s so super shiny and I love the cool silvery ashy tones to it! It’s the black version of platinum blonde! The dye itself is so luxurious to use its nice and creamy and covers well and I really enjoyed using it and I enjoy the conditioner it made my hair nice and smooth and conditioner. My only wish is that this was more easy to find in the stores!! I can never find it anywhere and had to order online through poshmark . Safe for curly hair but not much lightening
4 August 2023

I purchased two boxes of the dye to transform my level 7 warm dark blonde into level 8 cooler blonde. My hair is curly and in pretty good condition, as i only used Nice and Easy demi permanent dyes on it since I lightened it gently with a bleach bath in January.I was pleasantly surprised by the pristine condition of my hair following the development process (30mins), however the colour lift is barely noticeable. I was left with a natural looking dark blonde colour. My guess would be that the demi permanent dye stained my hair cuticles. I would have expected that the developer would clean that up, but i'll read up on it for the future. As the colour swatch on the box indicates that i should expect stronger lightening effect, i will not buy again.I'll wait for it ... MoreI purchased two boxes of the dye to transform my level 7 warm dark blonde into level 8 cooler blonde. My hair is curly and in pretty good condition, as i only used Nice and Easy demi permanent dyes on it since I lightened it gently with a bleach bath in January.I was pleasantly surprised by the pristine condition of my hair following the development process (30mins), however the colour lift is barely noticeable.
