I have just received this butane heater. Very quick delivery from Qld Shop to South Australia by online ordering. Unit is light weight. Feels a little flimsy in construction. Radiant heat at one output only. Butane cylinder as expected gets cold and condensation on can. Front chrome screen discolours on one of the top rails. Overall does the job but is not robust in construction. Have not tried Mr Heater Buddy or Companion heaters as they are up to double the price. So this Gasmate heater is probably good value for the special club price of $69. If you intend to rely on a heater for regular use or rough treatment overlanding suggest storage in solid box rather than packing it is shipped in. Easy to use the butane gad botles, cheap to buy. Unit has all the safety features, however I think it could/ should put out a little more heat. 9 deg, under the table you could take the chill out The other one at anaconda does put out more..( but people complain that one is too hot, go figure) sensational value at $69 though

I bought for my huge ford transit and i flick it on in the morning. The whole place is toasty warm in a few seconds. Even outside it throws off some heat. Only it burns up the butame pretty quickly. Still if you only use it to warm a small area it last for ever. Otherwise on full it lasted me a couple hours which is pretty good

Purchased this recently for camping and to use in outdoor patio. Heat disperses well. However after reading one gas can last 3 hours, ours didn’t. We used a full can in 1 hour 45 minutes. There is no hi/ low setting so it will use use gas at the same level while it’s heating.
I really like this heater. It actually gives out good heat! I have used it in both an open area - obviously not really meant for that, and in a more enclosed space which was very warm!But it did build up condensation fast so I had to skip between a couple of gas cylinders to get a few hours of constant heat. It was suggested I get the cylinders warm before used when it's really cold to prevent it happening.
Must have for winter camping! So easy. So warm! For those moments when it’s raining and you can’t be by the fire… first thing in the morning … or I now use mine at home under the patio in the winter time! Easy to turn it on or off. No power needed. So portable.

On a recent trip to Lake Lyell in Lithgow, NSW; the weather turned really bad. It poured with rain & it was absolutely freezing. Becuase of the rain, we couldn't sit around our usual open fire pit. It was either sit in the tent to try & keep warm or bring out the Gasmate Butane Heater. We have a large 6m x 3m Water Proof Marquee that we use as our outdoor dinning room & by using the Gasmate Butane Heater we were able to still sit outside under our Marquee, eat our lunch & dinner, play cards, games of scrabble & still stay warm. Product is a couple of weeks old. Lighting knob has fallen off and won’t light. Returning for refund. Be aware - for the first time it worked, and a whole butane cylinder will last only 2 hours. Might be good for some but you can chew through them pretty quick if you try !!
It heats quickly and is quite effective, it's also small and lightweight and the handle is convenient. The oxygen detection feature is good as well.However, one fuel canister barely lasts 1hr and it often has a fault when loading the canister where it will hiss and inconsistency release the gas. Sometimes this causes the flames to erupt when lighting if you don't correct the canister by releasing and reloading it.It's not very cost effective in my opinion and creates a lot of waste if it's you're using it often
Very disappointed in this gas heater. Have had nothing but trouble with it. We have had trouble getting it to light, have found you need to readjust gas cylinder position every time you want to relight it. Eventually needed to remove a spring to make things easier.
