ghd Curve Creative Curl Wand

I can't say enough good things about Beauty Affairs. I've been a loyal customer now for about three years and can't fault their delivery - it feels like I get VIP Express Post when I just make a regular order. I (now) do a lot of online shopping across the board (clothes, shoes, beauty, etc.) and Beauty Affairs stand out from every other vendor I have shopped with throughout COVID as fast, reliable, and essentially flawless in their supply chain when even the previously-good-ones have slowly fallen victim throughout 2021 to COVID disruptions and delays. Whatever they're doing, it works! I will only shop elsewhere for beauty, cosmetics, and perfume on the odd occasion they don't stock a brand I want, but apart from that, I say: MECCA, who? Sephora, what? ^.^

But really I wanted to come here and give thanks and my 5 stars to Beauty Affairs! In this current climate (covid) it’s been tough.... I just got this wand because one of my favorite influencers uses it and rants about it and she has the most gorgeous hair. I have long, fine, slightly wavy hair and I messed up bad and purchased the Dyson dryer and air wrap. They are both great products, but just not for my hair type and I rarely reach for them. I wanted something that would give me beautiful, tousled, beachy waves that looked effortless and basically was effortless. This GHD wand IS that product! I’m not great with hair because I don’t do mine a lot, so usually it takes me a while to get the hang of a new tool, but I literally just plugged this in (it warms up in less than a minute) and used it once and my hair looked exactly like I’ve always wanted it to! Brilliant curling wand

This product is sensational! I’ve been unable to curl my hair using the straightener for a while now, as my hair is long, gets stuck and I can’t pull it through to finish the curl properly, even with product. this wand solves that problem. It gives beautiful big curls on long hair, I had so many compliments on NYE. It doesn’t take too long to do either once you get the hang of it, and the curls last for days. The safety glove that comes with it is also great, no more burnt fingers! I’ve also purchased the GHD curling spray to protect my hair and hold the curl. Highly recommend this product.

Buy This!!!! Not that!

I'm not a curling wand noob, but I'm not a curling wand expert either. I bought a different, lower priced curling wand initially; after one use, I requested and successfully returned it. It wasn't near the quality of the one I gave away. After wasting my time and hope with that too-good-to-be-true price+quality (doesn't exist), I searched for ghd. I have been using their flat iron for 6 years. The same one. It's amazing. And it was the same price. And I've never regretted it. My hair is now longer and more difficult to use the flat iron for beachy waves. SO- I wanted a wand again because my hair dresser says 'stick with what you know.' Ok. I know wands! Immediately best quality I've had of the three, and it's been love and infatuation at first sight and use. I love it. The price isn't a big deal. Heck, it's an investment in your hair, your mood, your style. I look forward to the many happy years I'll have this lil' thang with me.

Finally took the plunge and purchased!

I had been looking at this for a while, and was unsure. Watching the videos, it all looks so easy, but I know it's never THAT simple and often takes some practice to hone in your technique. After getting my hairdresser to add curls with the GHD iron (and loving the look) I decided, "let's do it!" And I'm so glad I did. As expected, it's a learning curve and you need to get the hang of it. There is always one side that is easier than the other, but with practice, you can get them to look pretty much the same. I have very thick course hair, so have found very small sections work much better for me - they are easier to wrap around the wand and less likely to slip whilst winding or holding. The wand does get hot and I have caught my knuckle on the hot barrel a couple of times, despite wearing the 3-fingered glove (the knuckle I burnt was my ring finger, which isn't covered by the glove). This aside, if you're careful and take your time, then you should be OK, but always be cautious - I now tend to stick a plaster over said knuckle to protect it whilst curling. Now that I've used this a few times, I am getting better and my technique is improving with confidence. The results are impressive and I find they last longer when I used on hair that was washed and blow dried the day before, as opposed to freshly washed and blow dried hair (it tends to slip off the barrel more and the curls drop out quicker).

Great purchase

This works very well. I have long, thick hair but fine texture. I roll the back of my hair 15 seconds max. I wrap twice, count to 10, then roll to the ends for an additional 5. The front of my hair needs less time, 10 seconds max, with the ends only getting a couple of seconds. I used a Sedu clip less curler for years until the cord loosened and it won’t stay on. This is an upgrade from that, by far. I’ve wasted money on three other clipless irons over the years that didn’t work at all. This is by far a superior product. You won’t be disappointed.

I love it!

This curling iron is perfect! I have thick bleached hair and was worried about the one temperature setting. As I usually set my straightener to 400, the curling wand is set to 365. That did have me worried but the set temperature is perfect. You turn it on and let the wand do it’s thing. Its not hot enough to fry your hair, but hot enough to curl my thick Spanish Italian hair. If you are new to curling your hair or an expert, this wand is perfect. I don’t understand the weird looking curl reviews as for me it preforms just like my dry bar curling wand. But allows you to make more custom waves. The only thing is the glove it comes with is kind of odd. It only covers the thumb, pointer, and middle finger. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

I love this curling wand! I found it so easy to use! I love the quality of the GHD products and how easy it is to use this hot tool. I find it easier then the Oracle or using a straightener to curl your hair as you literally just wrap it around the tong. I also love that this tool does not have a clamp on the wand part like so many of the traditional wands do. The only downside was the heat protector glove that came with this was not a full glove however I just purchased a set of cotton gloves from Coles and that did the trick. I do advise wearing the gloves when starting out as it will protect your fingers until you get used to styling. The curls lasted all day and was very easy to use. I cannot say this enough but this product was so easy to use!

Pretty but not effective

I love GHD. This curling wand however, was seriously disappointing. It's beautiful with a sleek, classy design. That's where it ends. I have thick, textured, curly hair. This wand curled my hair but after a few hours, the curls were completely gone. Same with my daughter's thick, straight hair. By the time I was done with the second half of her hair, the first half was already uncurled. It didn't include a Velcro strap to keep the cord tidy. This was annoying. For $200, I expect this to come with all the bells and whistles. I hate having the cord completely unwrapped as it just hangs about and gets caught on everything as I try to style my hair. This is going back. I ordered several wands during Ulta's awesome hair event. The L'Ange curling wand set was by far the ... MoreI love GHD. This curling wand however, was seriously disappointing.
