I own a few ghd tools and the quality is always top notch (two of them are more than 10 years old and still work perfectly). This curling iron is no exception. The thing I like the most is, with no doubt, the clamp: zero snagging, my hair never gets stuck in there. The 1.25" barrel allows me to grab slightly larger sections and to do my full head in less than 15 minutes.Last but not least, it has universal voltage for worldwide use and, speaking of travelling, ghd finally changed the plug. The bulky GFCI plug (the one with test/reset buttons) is gone! I'm so happy because this was the only thing I found really annoying in the past. Now there is a standard small plug which is way more convenient when storing/packing the tool.As side note, the length of the barrel works well for long (mid-back) hair, but I secretly hope one day ghd will come up with a XL version for very long hair.

Press and hold to turn on, you will have both a bright tone and a light. The light ring will flash as it's reaching temperature. To achieve the curls that work best for me takes some practice. But the lovely thing that I had forgotten about clip curlers is that they hold your hair in place, even that stubborn little tuft of hair that refuses to fall in line with the rest. No more going back for stragglers.I have very long hair, and the barrel length is average. I've gotten exquisite curls, but mostly towards the ends. It may be a consideration for some.Overall, this has earned its spot in your tool kit. In my experience with GHD products, it will last you a very long time.

When a very famous influencer said that these were her go to and demonstrated how good they were I jumped at the chance! I've used a few times and they just don't seem to heat enough to curl my hair well. Parts of my hair curl nicely but most of all it barely curls and the ends have a bizarre straight part despite it holding to the curling wand. I expected this to be a lot quicker than my straightners but it seems it takes a lot longer - time as a mum of 2 I don't often get. It also creates a lot of steam even on dry hair and made my hair smell a little burnt.
