I bought the ghd Platinum+ straightener to replace an old ghd model that I had for about 15years - it still worked but I was worried it may not be safe after so long?Pros:Heats up really fast.Sound to indicate turned on and then another sound when it is ready to useStraightens my hair super quick and leaves a lovely shine.I have only tried it to straighten my hair so dont know how it would be for curly/wave.Alluring Jade is a gorgeous colour and the pink velvet box is very lush (if a bit too big).Cons:Price - very expensive!!Hair does snag very occasionally in the plates but that may be down to the way I use it?No heat mat (box isn't heat resistant) - at this price the box should be heat resistant and/or a heat mat should be supplied as standard. I've been looking at these straightners for ages but because they are quite expensive i went for other straightners instead. the quality wasn't there so I eventually decided to buy these. I should of just bought these in the beginning they are brilliant. The colour is gorgeous and there amazing. So don't second guess yourself. Just buy them. You won't be disappointed.

Missing GHD Styling Duo gift set from my order, have tried to contact multiple times no answer to my email query, which has lead me to try FB also no answer. Very disappointed and out of pocket $80, thought I would receive more from such a reputable brand
