I have really enjoyed using the Helios, the weight in your hand feels very balanced and the air pushed through is forceful. I like to use the concentrator nozzle for more targeted drying with my roots to give me more volume, shine and less flyaways. I received this product for free from ghd and Influenster in exchange for my honest review. I really like this hair dryer! I typically use the Shark hairdryer so my opinion on this hair dryer is in comparison to the Shark. I found that the ghd dryer works fast without being overly hot or loud. It also makes my hair so shiny and dries it without frizz. My hair is naturally wavy so itās very easy for it to look frizzy especially when being dried. The concentrator works very well. I would love to try a diffuser attachment for this as well! Iāll absolutely continue to use this tool and would definitely recommend it.

Keep in mind that I have had my previous hairdryer for nearly ten years....but I didn't think that there could be much difference between my old hairdryer and a new one. I was wrong and I've been really impressed by the GHD Helios. Benefits- - It doesn't get hot like my old hairdryer which used to make my head, hand, hair and me in general really hot. - It dries my hair noticeably quicker - The biggest benefit is that my hair is much much smoother. I thought battling with frizz was just down to my hair, but there's now very little frizz and I don't have to straighten it. The lack of frizz and style lasts for days. Other pros - the cool is actually cool and it is really well balanced. Cons- it is more than I would like to have spent on a hairdryer but it's been worth it.

My hairdresser recommended another brand which I purchased initially and immediately returned as it was absolutely no comparison to the Air I had. Using the same products, brush and technique my hair took ages to dry and was frizzy afterwards (I have long, thick wavy hair so itās hard to get a smooth bouncy effect from just blow drying) but I could achieve this easily with the Air. So I decided to purchase the Air again but then decided on the upgraded Helios, and have been so happy I did! Itās even better than the Air, faster dry time and even smoother/bouncier results. After 9 years my trusty hairdryer finally gave out. I asked my hairdresser what they recommended and they said this, I was dubious about it matching my old salon hairdryerā¦ but! Itās surpassed all expectations and I absolutely love it. At first I was disappointed that it came with only two settings for power but boy was I wrong! Itās super powerful and heat is great, the cold shot holds everything in place and also cools me down when drying in summer. Highly recommend! If youāre doubting whether it will be strong or hot enough for your thick frizzy hair, rest assured this is the best hair dryer you could get!! My hair is transitioning from dull and frizzy to long shiny locks! *With this hair, I am as beautiful and powerful as a Greek goddess (Girl Power)*. Next - the stunning red velvet bag. I've had hairdryers in the past that come with a bag but these have been the cloth drawer string types that in comparison to this, feel flappy, loose and a bit unsecure. This bag has got a nice firm feel to it and keeps its shape so the hairdryer feels properly secure when stored away. The hairdryer itself is just perfect! It's a good size and doesn't feel too heavy like my old one. As my hair is long and thick, it takes a while (around 30 - 40 minutes) to properly dry and my old dryer would always give me an arm ache and hurt my hand. This one is lightweight and much more comfortable to hold. I took the claim of 30% extra shine with a pinch of salt since a lot of hairdryer brands claim to do something similar but its actually true with this hairdryer. I think it must have something to do with using the nozzle (which by the way, is easy to get on and off), it just makes styling a section more precise and concentrated which makes it look shinier and less frizzy and flyaway. Usually I'm left with a halo of frizz when drying my hair and now think this is maybe because my last hairdryer was too hot but not as powerful. The power on this one is incredible! I've never had a hairdryer that was as powerful as this, it's like proper salon style and didn't take half as long to dry my hair like it usually does. If you've got short or mid length hair, it'll dry in a fraction of the time it took me. It's also got a cold blast button when getting close to roots. I have tried to find negatives and critisms but I genuinely cannot fault it. Everything from the thoughtfulness behind the design of the product, what it symbolises and represents, to the actual product itself. I just love it and how quickly I can dry my hair, it's amazing and I love how good my hair feels afterwards. So, to sum up in 3 sentences why I love this hairdryer and highly recommend it, it's sleek and looks really stylish, the bag it comes with is beautiful (and good quality too). It isn't heavy, it feels nice to hold and doesn't hurt my arm or hand. It's powerful, my hair dries quickly, feels silky and is more shiny.
