I recently purchased this straightener and unfortunately, I cannot say that I am thoroughly impressed with my purchase. And, this one is a small thing to moan about I guess; but the awful tune they make when you turn them on and off sounds cheap and nasty. Considering how expensive they were I expected a LOT better than this. I actually wondered if I’d been taken for a fool and managed to buy fakes, until I remembered I’d bought them from the official GHD website. I wish I’d never bought them and got the basic ones instead. It’s really put me off GHDs.

If you prefer a proper curl, these also create the perfect curls. The straighteners are neat, easy to hold and literally glide through hair, no tugging or getting hair stuck in between the plates. They heat up within seconds and stay at the optimum temperature until you switch them off. I also love the safety feature as, if you forget to switch the straighteners off when finished, they detect they are no longer in use and switch themselves off automatically. I'm no hairdresser but have found with a bit of practise I am slowly perfecting the beach wave and there are plenty of useful GHD style videos online if you need a bit of help with how to achieve a certain style, this has helped me massively!
