I purchased the GHD platinum flat iron twice. I ended up repurchasing the item, giving them a second shot after my flat iron randomly started flashing red and not heating up. The same thing has happened to my second flat iron literally a month after purchase. I reached out hoping to utilize my warranty, but was unable to do this considering I deleted the email of my receipt. They weren’t able to work with me on this which was unfortunate considering the patience I had with this issue. Just don’t purchase. You can read several reviews of this happening to many people. Do not make the same mistake I did. This flat iron should function flawlessly given the price tag and it failed to do so.

After I shampooed and round brushed my hair, I plugged in my GHD styler. As far as first impressions go, this iron is outstanding. This styler reached max heat within ten seconds tops. I usually let my tools heat up for a few minutes. GHD, so far, so good. After sectioning my hair, I quickly ran the iron over it to eliminate any flyaways or frizz. There was no pulling or tugging as it glided effortlessly over my strands to achieve maximum shine. The actual test was nailing the curl. Typically, I switch between a full curl and a beachy wave. My approach to the task is logically different for each tool I use. However, I wanted to see if this flat iron could deliver on both counts. Getting the hang of maneuvering the iron took some practice. After some trial and error and hair slipping, I eventually nailed it. It's essential to hold the plates in the center, not at the base. As a result, there is greater control, the hair glides through the center without falling out midway, and the curl is perfect every time. To achieve a beachy style, I glide the iron downward and leave the bottom inch of hair straight. You can achieve a traditional, bouncy curl by pulling outward and twisting right through the bottom. My hair was left shiny, voluminous, and frizz-free with this iron, regardless of style. I still haven't even touched the most life-changing feature. The GHD Platinum + Styler automatically shuts off after 30 minutes. This straightener eliminates the stress of running back to the bathroom 17 times to ensure you don't set the house on fire. So, I urge you to treat yourself to this pretty hot tool this summer. It will not disappoint you.

I looked through all of the reviews before I made my purchase. I’ve always wanted a Ghd straightener but could never justify the price until now. Shaver Shop had a sale on and with pay pal pay on four, it wasn’t a huge purchase in one hit so I though stuff it and bought it. Absolutely best decision ever! My hair is the straightest it’s ever been, and it stays fresh all day long. It heats up within 30 seconds and you don’t have to worry about it getting too hot or changing the temperature. I love the long cord as well, it makes it super easy to use and I don’t have to restrict myself by the cord length as to where I use it. I can do my hair once washed and dried and then quickly go over it in the morning for a freshen up. Fantastic product. My hair is very long and thick and I’ve struggled with styling it in the past. It took well over an hour before this straightener came into my life. Now it takes about 20-30 mins which makes me very happy! My hair straightened within one stroke, hair felt soft, undamaged and frizz free. Hair stayed straight in hot weather and stayed straight when sleeping on it. Overall my hair stayed straight until I washed it and didn’t need re-straightening. It is also very easy to curl my hair and gave the most beautiful curls that held well for a few days. Great shine and a super smooth finish

I first tried the GHD Platinum+ straighteners on my 'air dried' hair when I was in a rush and was very suprised at how well they smoothed the kinks out - very quick too, as I didn't need to run them over the same strands too often. Plus, it only took only a minute to heat up! The second time, I used them with 'blow dried' hair, so obviously the finish was more sleek. Though I have thick, course, wavy hair with tight curls at the back and must say, I'm very pleased with how little time it takes to go through my mop either way. There's a good healthy shine too (I always used the GHD heat protection spray) and it doesn't feel dry. I am in love!

The front of my hair has a mind of its own and does this weird curling thing so I have to attack it with heat in order for my hair to look cohesive. My hair also frizzes up thanks to humidity so I've always had to re-straighten it after being outside--both of these things have led to many split ends. This straightener is a literal life changer. I'm able to fix my hair in HALF the time, it's as soft as ever, I had maybe 5% of the frizz I normally would after being outside for 3+ hours on a humid day, and have only had to fix small sections after sleeping on my hair. My only regret is waiting to invest in a high quality straightener. Major design flaw

Optimal heat design sorts out frizz

I have found my new GHD white hair straightener to be a great product it straightens my hair leaving it looking glossy, straight and healthy. I have used it also to put waves in my hair following the tutorials on the GHD website, I didn't know that it was possible to create waves and curles with straighteners but because this product has a rounded barrel it worked well for creating waves. My hair is natrually wavey and can be prone to dryness and frizz but I have found that using the staighteners together with hair products tends to help these problems and make me feel more confident that my hair is going to look good throughout the day / evening. Firstly, I love the colour (white) which gives them a sleek look, but more importantly they achieve the results I want. Technology moves on so quickly so it’s always good to update your straighteners whenever you can. The heat is just right for me – they now come with predictive technology and there’s no waiting around as they heat up so fast and it seems to take less time to style my hair. I like the sleep mode feature too just in case I ever forget to turn them off! I had purchased a GHD flat iron over ten years ago. I liked it and it lasted over a decade. I decided to purchase another one and was surprised to see an even better model. The price, that's what got me! Well, I decided, after reading the reviews, that I would try it. If it lasted me another ten years, maybe it was worth it. OMG, what a difference in flat irons! I am 64 years old and my hair has gotten frizzy. No matter what I use, if I go outside and it is humid, I am now frizzy. And if I am in the wind, my hair goes flat. Not with this flat iron (and the regular products that I have used for years)! My hair is even smooth the next day when I wake up!
