Updated geometry includes a lower bottom bracket, longer reach and steeper head tube angle for improved acceleration and climbing. Tuned compliance Dropped seat stays with thin tubing absorbs road shocks and vibrations. D-Fuse handlebar and seat post work as a system to add compliance without sacrificing stiffness while cornering, sprinting or climbing. Adaptable to the terrain A flip chip on the rear dropout adjusts the wheelbase short for quicker handling, or long for improved stability at speed. The long setting allows for larger diameter tyres up to 53mm. You can also choose the included D-Fuse seat post for maximum compliance.

After being off bikes for nearly 20 years, I decided I needed some exercising that wasn't so boring so I took up biking again. Older with more money, I decided to get a nice bike. After tons of research, I decide on the Revolt Advance 2 and could not be happier. Wow, what a perfect bike. I live down a gravel road and now I've picked out a 20 mile ride with a combination of gravel and hard road, and this bike is a joy to ride.Great job Giant!!

Brilliant bike. First gravel bike, and done a few events... Glorious Gravel 100k in the Peaks and one in Wales... both times the bike didn't miss a beat. Just done the Dirty Riever 200k, and again no issues. The only thing I swapped was the cassette - as the gear ratios aren't low enough for steep technical climbs. Also swapped the stem to a longer stem to make it similar to my other bikes. The ML does come up short in comparison to the ML in the Contend, TCR and Propel - I know this is for gravel riding, but the difference is too great - hence the longer stem.

Excellent all round! Upgraded from an older Aluminum Cannondale Synapse to this bike to take on more versatile roads, and it is not only super comfortable on all surfaces but it is also really quick! I was undecided for a while after seeing the drama online about the seatposts cracking the paint/frame however just to be sure I ordered a round carbon seatpost and swapped it out before riding and after some mileage I have seen no issues, don't let that sway you away from a great bike.

The key word that come to mind after my first couple of rides is "comfort." I'm used to riding a 2016 Giant TCR Advanced 0 but have been wanting to explore more gravel roads in my area so I purchased the Revolt Advanced 2. The riding position is more upright than I am used to but I got off the bike feeling fresh and parts of my body that are usually a bit sore after an identical ride were not. It didn't feel as fast as my TCR (duh) but I'm happy to make that tradeoff for comfort on the gravel around here. I recently signed up for a 100+ mi gravel ride and am hoping this will help get me through it. Maybe I'll try to update my review after that test.
Gorgeous and light bike, but the problems with the seat post simply ruin the entire experience.I purchased the Revolt Advanced 2 less than 2 months ago and from BEFORE I even purchased it, the seat post was making terrible creaking and cracking sounds. Before I took delivery I rode it through the parking lot and complained of the noise. The tech assured me that was a quick fix, and then proceeded to remove the seat post, re-apply carbon paste and re-assembled and all seemed to be well so I went ahead and purchased the bike. I got the bike home and that same day went for a 16 mile ride, maybe halfway through the ride the sounds returned. I immediately brought the bike back to the dealer for repair, they did the same thing as last time and again it seemed to resolve ... MoreGorgeous and light bike, but the problems with the seat post simply ruin the entire experience.I purchased the Revolt Advanced 2 less than 2 months ago and from BEFORE I even purchased it, the seat post was making terrible creaking and cracking sounds. I got the bike home and that same day went for a 16 mile ride, maybe halfway through the ride the sounds returned. I immediately brought the bike back to the dealer for repair, they did the same thing as last time and again it seemed to resolve the issue. Fast forward nearly 2 months, I've ridden this bike maybe 6-7 times (I ride my mountain bikes most days), and I've had this bike in for repair on the seat post 5 (6 if you count them fixing it before I bought it) times now since I brought it home! They are tired of seeing me, and I am tired of bringing it back.Today was my 5th visit to the dealer for repair, and the tech mentioned he has another customer with a similar issue that turned out to be cracks in the carbon on the seat post riser from the D-Fuse insert they added for 2022. He then inspected mine instead of the usual cleaning and re-assembly, and behold, I have a small crack on the left side and a large deep crack on the right, so deep you can put a fingernail in it. They have gone ahead and opened a warranty claim on the frame for me, but in all honesty I don't want it back and asked for a return instead. Unfortunately I am outside the return period thus am stuck with it. The tech suggested after the new frame arrives I should purchase and install a round seat post to avoid the issue from happening again. I am not about to drop $200-300 for a new carbon seat post to fix a bad design from Giant, that's on them, if anything it should be provided as part of the warranty claim if that truly is the fix for this issue. To add more fuel to the fire, after getting home from my dealer today I googled the issue and found an entire thread on the r/gravelcycling sub-reddit with 46 replies of others who have the exact same seat post complaint with their 2022 Revolt Advanced frames. This is clearly not isolated and quite simply should be recalled!
This is now my "go to" bike for long treks, hill climbing, and gravel. (I bought a second set of carbon rim wheels for the road.)Before leaving the shop, the dealer swapped out the seat post for a round one (at no charge) and I have not had the seat tube problem mentioned by others. With this small change, and the addition of my favorite saddle, I love this bike.
Less than 200km in and the crankset has warped so there's an intermittent rub on the front derailleur. First time I've had this happen and I've only used it on the road so no rock strikes. Must just be a really weak, cost saving crankset. Also don't believe it matches up with the chain line of the GRX derailleurs.
This is my first gravel bike, but fourth drop bar bike. I have primarily ridden on asphalt, and have been very happy so far. After I got the seat adjusted, I didn’t have sore shoulders. The factory saddle has been fine, but my longest ride has only been around 30 miles. Overall, I love this bike, and am very happy with my purchase.
My seat post will not stay in position. The seat slowly descends every time I ride. The design is just weird, much more complicated than anything else I've seen. I've torqued it to spec, but it still falls. I don't want to over tighten it for fear of permanent damage. VERY frustrating!
I had been riding an alloy gravel bike that was too big for me so the first time I got on this bike it was a revelation. Not a fan of the factory issued seat, but that was an easy swap. It handles beautifully! Best bang for your buck out there. The Advanced 2 might not have the carbon wheel set or electronic shifting, but the components are very good and I can trick it out down the road. Also - and I cannot stress this enough - the Starry Night frame color is absolutely stunning! I was expecting a pearly black (the website does not do this bike frame justice), but it is really an iridescent turquoise and purple when it gleams in the sun! The 7 year old girl in me absolutely flipped out - it is gorgeous and I get compliments all the time. All around a great buy - ... MoreI had been riding an alloy gravel bike that was too big for me so the first time I got on this bike it was a revelation.
