Being a collector and HUGE fan of Stapleton I started my search for an LG-2. Upon requesting one at my local guitar center I was discouraged to find out they were all on back order and I could not be told how soon one would be available. Well unless you wanted an LG-2 banner at almost twice the price? As any collector and musician with a guitar on their mind I without even thinking said "I'll take it!?!" After 2 weeks of waiting and remorse, anxiety, and contemplation of using my child's college fund for payment My LG-2 finally arrived.I got to the store, pulled my newest guitar from its very cool and visually appealing 1940's period correct case and fell in love. I have many other Gibson acoustics and this has become my first choice. The playability is amazing, ... MoreBeing a collector and HUGE fan of Stapleton I started my search for an LG-2. The playability is amazing, the sound is exactly what I was looking for, and the conversations that I have gotten into on behalf of this masterpiece are unimaginable. The guitar feels old, looks aged and old (without a single scratch or flaw of coarse), and sounds like a well aged Gibson should. If I wasn't poor from my initial purchase, I'd buy another just to have another.

I purchased this LG-2 as a treat to myself. It is my second Gibson since 2003, first custom. While not absolutely boutique, it is a fine reproduction and heirloom model that is opening quickly. I had had a J-45 in mind for nearly a decade after having four Martins and this was something to keep me at peace during covid. It does the job well, as I am transitioning back to acoustic playing more and working at home in close quarters, in my thirties. The LG-2 and Gibson acoustics are an American Songwriter’s standard that will never let anybody down.
